With the sound of the scroll ripping, he felt the faint tingle of magic behind him. Senna’s presence soon disappeared and the assassins in front of him fell into confusion.
It was likely that they weren’t ordered to only take care of Rexid. They probably had to get rid of the Senna, who was now useless, and the child in her womb that needed to be eliminated. Rexid smirked as he sensed the confusion of the assassins after she disappeared so suddenly.
“Who was it? The one who sent you all here.”
Eleven assassins. They were most likely skilled individuals since they were sent by an enemy who must have been well aware of Rexid’s power.
