“…Do you want to die, you bastard?”
He was trembling so hard that the words from his mouth became mumbled.
Harome wasn’t the only one who was startled by Rexid’s sudden appearance, I was too.
There was no way he found me here because he knew I was about to take a punch. It was probably Layla, the maid I sent off before. She must have called Rexid here.
Of course, that was something I had in mind, but I didn’t imagine he would turn up so quickly.
I was suddenly reminded of the time I escaped from the dressing room the first time I got kidnapped by Rexid, and how he came to rescue me with such phenomenal speed when I was caught by those two thugs in the street.
I stared blankly at Rexid out of sheer curiosity before finally coming to my senses.
‘How unfortunate… it would have been much better if I had taken a hit.’
Since it had turned out like this, a change of plans was in order.
