Silence fell between them.

Owen was taken aback and Red grew upset.
“Go to the festival with me! I’ll buy anything for you since just saying thank you isn’t enough! I have some money that I’ve secretly saved!” Ash told him, her voice sounding rather desperate.
She took out a worn-out coin pouch and showed it to them.
“It’s fine. We understand how grateful you are, so please tell us where…”
“I don’t want to! No!”

Red was about to interfere, but Rexid pulled the back of his neck.
“My lord! She’s clearly out of her mind!”
