Chapter 162
“No!”
Startled, Rosica quickly ran towards the edge of the cliff. She lay down on her stomach and peeked out to look down the pitch-black cliff. Tarantula was nowhere to be found. There was only the beautiful yet terrifying abyss that had swallowed him whole.
“Are you crazy?! Are you trying to jump after him?” Rexid ran up behind her, hugged her, and picked her up.
She couldn’t take her eyes off the cliff where Tarantula fell. An unreadable emotion lingered in her eyes.
Rexid frowned as he stared at Rosica’s expression. “Are you sad that he’s dead or something?”
“No, it’s not that…”
“Then, what is it?!”
“It feels iffy. I have to take his life myself and see him die with my own two eyes…”
“…” Rexid flinched at the unexpected answer. “What’s the point? Who can possibly survive a fall like that?”
“Don’t you remember what Tarantula said at the end? He laughed and said that not killing me and checking my corpse was his downfall.”
