Alea
I heard the front door shut and decided to take the time for a quick bath. Having such a luxury has truly spoiled me over the last few days. When I ran all this way and found the manor, I never thought I would find somewhere I could feel safe.
Well, safe if Ghouls were not running around.
It was horrifying to find out that there were those creatures out there that could also reproduce. The ones that attacked us could be from this generation or from decades ago. At least they died the same way vampires did, and I could be safe when the sun was out. In a way, the ghouls seemed more dangerous since they were always in a feral, animal-like state. I had called them ferals because they acted like vampires in a blood lust or had taken a drug. Just as the one who had attacked me on my way, running from the warehouses.
I remove my boots and socks and place my weapons on the small dresser with my bag. I stepped out to find Cole wasn't in the cabin; either it was only me and the crackling fire in the fireplace. So I head into the washroom, closing the door behind me, and begin drawing the water. Settling down into the warm water, I let out a moan of happiness.
I touched the bruise on my side. The color was still dark in most places, the edges shifting to green and yellow, showing that it was continuing to heal. I wouldn't be fully back to health in a week or two. I would have to ask Hendrik for something when we returned to the inside of the wall.
Just thinking about returning was giving me anxiety, but I knew there was no way of getting out of it. Since Hendrik was accepting somewhat of Cole, there was at least a chance he wouldn't harm Elfrea. As much as I would like to keep her away, he would find out about her one way or another. He might tolerate Cole, but it seems it is only because he had shown Hendrik that he was useful. Sending a letter first thing in the morning, letting him know of Elfrea in advance, will help the meeting go smoothly.
I was also worried that Elfrea might change once we were inside the wall. She still seemed not to like the idea of drinking from a human, but there was no hunting inside the wall. Elfrea would have to get used to it and learn better control. I believe she would fall into despair if she killed someone. Even though I didn't delight in the image of her drinking human blood, I feel angry if it were anyone but me.
I let out a sigh. I finish up in the bath before I fall asleep. I undid my braid and raked through, loosening the strands. I had found a fondness for Elfrea braiding my hair. It also comes out much tighter and straighter than the mess I normally throw together.
I get out and dry off, only putting on my undershirt and underwear since I was still alone in the cabin. I grabbed a blanket from my room and set it on the couch. I swiftly check the fire to keep the cabin warm. I looked at the small table that sat next to the small couch, seeing that it had a small drawer. Something was always happening; I never got to take a peek around, so I took the chance and opened the drawer.
I was excited to see a small novel with pages and cover still intact. It wasn't some mysterious lost spell back, but it would give me some form of entertainment until Elfrea and Cole returned. I get comfortable on the couch, draping the blanket over top of myself. I swiftly move my bare legs together like a cricket trying to generate some warmth before settling down.
I open the pages of the book to find a story of a lonely woman living in a tower, trapped by an evil sorcerer. I let out a laugh to myself about the start of the story. It was starting very close to how Elfrea and I had started. With each word I read, I got lost in the book. I was a few chapters in when I finally looked up from the book.
I knew some time had passed, but I wasn't sure how long I had been reading for. Elfrea and Cole hadn't returned, and I was starting to feel worried that something had happened. I was sure that if anything did, at least one of them would have made their way back to the cabin.
Could Cole be helping Elfrea with being a vampire?
It was a nice thought, and it would be beneficial before we moved back into Cana. I pushed my worried thoughts away. I put my eyes back to the pages and lost myself back in the story. The combination of warmth, comfort, and safety soon makes my body feel heavy. Soon, I couldn't keep my eyes open and drifted off to sleep.
*********************************************************
I start to stir awake, half dreaming as I hear a door open and close. Voices then caused me to stir more from my slumber. As I begin to open my eyes, I feel arms move under me and then lift me into the air. The smell of wild flowers fills my nostrils before I see Elfrea's face.
I wasn't expecting to see her mouth covered in blood as she stared down at me with a smile.
"Sorry, I need to clean up," Elfrea says in a whisper.
Elfrea carries me into our room and sets me down on the bed, tucking me under the covers before she disappears to the washroom. I lie there patiently waiting, not wanting to fall back asleep. I wasn't quite sure how long I had been out, and my body wasn't ready to be awake.
Elfrea was immediately back in the room. I listened as Elfrea removed her clothes before she climbed into the bed, joining me under the covers. I grin as I reach out to her, and both of us become frantic as I slide my hands up and down her naked body. Elfrea reaches for my shirt first, almost tearing it from me before hooking her fingers into the hem of my underwear, pulling them down my legs.
Elfrea's eyes seemed to glow even brighter in the darkness. My breathing grows heavy with anticipation as she lowers her head, and I then feel her soft lips kiss up and down my body. I was already growing wet at the touch.
"Elfrea," I moan her name aloud when I feel her tongue travel to my breasts.
Elfrea's touch sent electric sparks wherever it landed. I rocked against her, wanting more.
"It's my turn to taste you," Elfrea whispers in my ear, before her body disappears from mine, and I am feeling as if a storm is building inside me.
With each lick, Elfrea teases me, starting slow while holding my hips still. I bit my lip, trying to move, but Elfrea wasn't going to let me. Her strength held me; it never hurt.
"I had to wait too long for this. I will take my time." Elfrea gives a very seductive-sounding laugh before she goes back to torturing me.
I hear Elfrea giggle again before I feel her movements growing greedier. Moaning louder as her tongue grows in speed, I never knew. Each twist causes the electric storm inside to come closer until I feel my body send short spasms through me. Elfrea doesn't stop and continues to eat her thrill.
"Elfrea!" I yell her name, eyes closed.
I open them to see her glowing red eyes looking down on me before her lips were on mine. These were different, not the frantic kissing we started with. These were deeper as our tongues danced with each other.
Our arms wrapped around one another, we lie there, lips locked. We kissed until my body grew tired and drifted to sleep.
