🖤 Episode Seven – Into the Abyss
[Scene One – Gang Headquarters – The Boss's Office – Midnight]
Dim light, thick smoke fills the air.
The Boss sits behind his desk, expression unreadable.
His hands are clasped in front of him.
Elyar enters, standing stiffly before him, trying to stay composed though his heart pounds.
Boss (in a calm, unnervingly quiet voice):
"I told you to bring the girl... and you didn't."
(locks eyes with him)
"Tell me... have you forgotten who I am?"
Elyar (trying to keep his cool):
"I need more time. She's not easy."
Boss (suddenly standing – his voice rising):
"Four days, Elyar!"
(slams fist on the table – the sound echoes)
"If that girl isn't here in four days... I'll do worse to her than I ever did to your mother."
[Close-up of Elyar's face – his pupils dilate, frozen in shock]
Narration (in shaky script):
"Pain is never forgotten... it just gets buried alive beneath the skin."
[Flashback – old house – night – young Elyar crying: "Mom!"]
[His mother lies on the couch, breathing weakly, hands trembling, eyes filled with tears.]
Mother (in a frail voice):
"Elyar... please... don't become like your father. Be kind... no matter what."
[Her eyes slowly close... fade to black.]
[Back to present – Elyar remains frozen, facing the Boss silently]
Boss (harsher):
"Do you understand?!"
Elyar (quietly, yet sharply):
"I understand."
[Scene Two – School Rooftop – Next Morning]
Rita sits on the ledge, staring down.
The wind plays with her hair. She doesn't turn around.
Elyar's footsteps approach. He stands in silence.
Rita (softly, faking sadness):
"I wonder sometimes... do people change because they're hurt?
Or because they never truly cared to begin with?"
[Elyar remains silent – gazing into the distance]
Rita (turns to him – tearful eyes, though fake):
"You used to laugh with me... confide in me.
What changed?
That little girl?"
Elyar (coldly):
"That's none of your business."
Rita (rising, stepping closer):
"But I loved you, Elyar.
I'm the only one who ever understood you."
Elyar (looking straight at her – harshly):
"I see you clearly now... that's why I stay away."
Rita (face shifting from sadness to venom):
"You'll regret it!
When she fails you... you'll come crawling back to me!"
Elyar (taking a step back – calm but firm):
"I never go back... to those who use love as a weapon."
Rita (bitter laugh – stepping closer):
"Oh please... as if you're innocent.
You're using love too, aren't you?
Manipulating a little girl under the excuse of a mission.
You call that love?
Be careful what you preach, sweetheart."
[Elyar stares at her – pain and anger battling in his eyes – but he says nothing.]
[Scene Three – School Courtyard – Break Time]
Rei runs toward Elyar, holding a notebook.
Rei (laughing):
"I drew you! Don't be mad... I just couldn't capture those icy eyes properly."
Elyar (trying to act distant):
"I don't like drawings... or childish talk."
Rei (giggles):
"No sweets, no smiles...
Do you even like anything, Mister Darkness?"
[Elyar turns away, hiding a smile barely forming]
Rei (moves closer):
"Oh! You almost smiled! I saw that!
This is historic! I'll write it down:
'Elyar laughed – 12:36 PM'"
Elyar (murmurs):
"You're insane."
Rei:
"But charmingly insane, right?"
[He smiles faintly – but it's a sad smile.]
[Scene Four – Cafeteria – Lunch Time]
The cafeteria is full of noise and laughter.
Elyar sits alone at a table in the corner, no food in front of him.
He rests his head on his hand, staring blankly.
[Voices echo in his mind – the Boss's threat, Rita's accusations – Rei's laughter.]
[Rei approaches him with a food tray.]
Rei (cheerfully):
"I brought you lunch.
Don't ask about the taste... I picked the strangest names I saw!"
[She sits across from him without asking – starts talking and giggling nonstop]
Rei:
"Also, the juice... I fought with it for five minutes, and it was empty all along!"
[Elyar looks at her – and genuinely laughs – his first real laugh in ages.]
Rei (mock surprise):
"You laughed?!
You really did?!
Legendary."
Elyar (looking at her, whispering):
"You're... unlike this world."
Rei:
"I know. I'm weird... but lovable weird, right?"
[He nods slightly – finally looks at the food – something inside him begins to shift.]
[Final shot – camera pulls away slowly – Rita is watching them from afar – eyes burning]
Narration:
"When innocence walks into the fire... darkness burns deeper than ever before."
