Chapter 24 - New home

Once Akaza saw his new residence, he felt a bit of amusement before trying to enter, but then he remembered the two guards accompanying him.

Akaza turned to them before speaking:

"You may leave now."

He quietly closed the door behind him.

Akaza entered his new residence quietly; the place was small but elegant and carefully arranged. The large windows overlooked a breathtaking view that delighted the eye, where pink trees with their vibrant colors met the bright pink moonlight in a natural painting resembling a dream.

He stood in front of the window, his eyes contemplating the starry sky, and the huge moon filling the horizon with its calm light, with cherry branches gently swaying in the night breeze.

He smiled softly, as if this calmness filled a void that had been missing throughout his previous life.

He sighed deeply and then said in a low but firm voice:

"This life... is much better than my previous one."

Then he turned toward the door and said clearly:

"I'm leaving now. I will need some time to adapt... Don't expect to see me much."

He quietly closed the door behind him, leaving behind that residence which held a new beginning and a place for dreams not yet realized.

From the perspective of the Serpent Hashira

The Serpent Hashira exited the Hashira meeting palace, his steps calm but his mind filled with a confusion he did not understand.

The cold evening air touched his face, but he did not feel the comfort he was used to in such moments of clarity. Instead, a strange urge to stop and think took hold of him.

His memory was blurred... all the events that had passed in the last two days seemed so confused that their outlines were unclear and their colors pale.

He tried to recall what happened but found nothing understandable.

He raised his hand to his forehead, feeling a slight pain creeping from behind his eyes, a recurring pain he had not noticed before.

He remembered a strong blow he had received in a distant battle, but the details did not become clear. How was he injured? When exactly? He couldn't determine.

Even the new Hashira who joined them—

He felt he had met him before but could not remember when exactly and did not bother to recall.

Continue the Serpent Hashira's path before he completely disappeared from sight

A soft knock sounded; Akaza heard it while sitting quietly inside his new residence.

He ordered in a calm but strict voice: "Enter."

The attendant opened the door slowly, entering while holding a paper and pen in his hands, bowing respectfully before he began to speak:

"Hello, Sir Hashira, the leader's wife ordered us to take your requests to craft a special weapon for you."

Akaza looked at him with a sharp gaze, then gestured with his hand toward the nearby table and said:

"Sit."

The attendant began showing him weapon designs, but he was astonished when Akaza took the pen from his hand.

Akaza picked up the pen and started drawing quickly.

He was drawing an iron staff with a curved blade, resembling a grim reaper's sickle—thin and sharp, with intricate designs at the handle as if it was pulsating with power and darkness.

He looked at the drawing after finishing, then said confidently:

"This is the weapon I want."

He handed the drawing to the attendant and said:

"Take this design and start making it. Tell the craftsmen to try to hurry."

Of course, here is a detailed description of how the attendant felt strange about the weapon's shape:

The attendant looked at the sword drawn on the paper and could not hide the astonishment that appeared on his face.

"I have never seen a weapon like this in my life," said the attendant in amazement.

He contemplated the drawing, and clear astonishment appeared on his face:

"I have never seen anything like this before."

Akaza smiled with satisfaction and said:

"You may leave now."

The attendant said:

"I will leave you now."

Akaza nodded and said:

"Go."

The attendant left quietly, leaving Akaza in the silence of his residence, contemplating the design before him.

Akaza quietly left his residence, heading toward the small garden surrounding the place.

The colors of the night danced between the pink moonlight and the pink tree branches, and the breeze carried the scent of fragrant flowers.

Among the grass and flowers, a large wooden post caught his attention, massive and heavy, seemingly intended for training.

The post was old and cracked, with deep sword strike marks on its surface that testified to the strength of those who trained on it.

Honestly, Akaza was preparing to test the extent of his power after devouring the fifth demon, and here came the opportunity.

Akaza approached the post, his gaze analyzing every detail.

He took a deep breath, closed his eyes for a moment, then opened them sharply.

Suddenly, he exhaled a glowing blue fiery breath, like a cold flame dancing in the cold air.

Akaza closed his eyes and continued to meditate quietly before finally feeling ready.

He moved toward the post, then jumped and performed a 360-degree spin.

Akaza's foot approached the post, and when it struck, something unexpected happened.
