At last, Narumi Hattori's resistance began to crumble. His blurred eyes widened in fear—how dare Kitazawa humiliate him like this!?
He lost track of how many slaps he'd taken, but he understood one thing clearly: threats meant nothing against Kitazawa.
All around, witnesses were aghast.
In this school, everyone knew Hattori Narumi was the son of Diet Chairman Kojiro Hattori (OC)—who was a strong candidate for Prime Minister.
Silence—deadly silence.
Kitazawa's actions were intoxicatingly audacious. Yet no one dared intervene; the bodyguards couldn't even stand. Kitazawa's brutality left them powerless.
"I was wrong… please, spare me…" Hattori's voice cracked. He was disoriented, face battered, on the brink of collapse. One look into Kitazawa's icy, emotionless eyes and his body trembled. Each slap shredded his spirit.
He realized, helplessly, "I'm just a dog… begging for mercy like a lost mutt."
Asuka was stunned—Kitazawa had taken it far more violently than she'd ever expected. She had believed his temperament was too gentle to be a real fighter. Now she knew she was completely wrong. Kitazawa was merciless—his rage struck with a chilling finality.
Despite Hattori's pleas, Kitazawa pressed on—another slap.
Slap, slap, slap…
Each blow rang crystal clear, sending icy fear through all who watched. Was Kitazawa trying to kill him?
Eventually, Hattori collapsed into unconsciousness.
Suddenly, a hand grasped Kitazawa's raised arm. A familiar, calm voice whispered in his ear.
It was Rei Ayanami.
Kitazawa paused. Then he nodded once, freed his hold, and dropped the bloodied Hattori to the ground.
Hattori's bodyguards rushed forward and carried him away—each wore a face of terrified respect. Plainly, even together, they couldn't match Kitazawa.
Kitazawa stood alone—quiet and powerful.
"Get out," he said simply.
"Kitazawa… Mr. Hattori is the only son of the Diet Chairman. This won't just slide," Yamanoki warned, holding the limp Hattori.
"Today won't be forgotten. Let's go."
They left quickly—Hattori needed medical care and, more urgently, his father's attention. The personal insult ensured major fallout.
The school erupted in whispers. Hattori's words echoed: "Today's incident won't be forgotten." Everyone sensed trouble ahead.
Asuka glared at Kitazawa.
"You… I hate you, Kitazawa Ryota!" Her voice trembled with anger and fear. She knew they had crossed a line—Kitazawa had taken on politics, and that draw would shift danger onto his shoulders.
Still, Kitazawa seemed unfazed.
He turned and walked away, ignoring Toji Suzuhara and Kensuke Aida who urged him to inform Misato Katsuragi. They stood dumbfounded.
Toji stared at Rei: "Rei, you don't look worried?"
Rei answered simply, "Kitazawa Ryota—you heard what we just witnessed? Even the military wouldn't provoke him. A Diet Chairman isn't enough to scare someone like that."
And with that, she walked away—leaving Toji and Kensuke in stunned silence, overwhelmed by both shock and new understanding.
