Chapter 2 - System?

When Alex came too he looked around before remembering everything that happened before he fell unconscious he quickly took the cloth off one of the alien scientists and covered the stump of a left arm he had with it tightly, effectively stopping the stupid amount of blood that was gushing out of it.

He sighed before getting up and resolving himself, "I will survive and I will conquer the stars, that is my purpose! And not even death will stop me!" He then noticed the blue transparent screen he saw previously, "huh? That wasn't a hallucination?" He said to myself before trying to touch it "Notice: System screen is a figment of master's imagination created by the system for better comprehension of the system"

Instantly, he jumped back, looking at the screen cautiously, "come out!" He commanded, being on very high guard "I apologise master, however I cannot comply with that request as I possess no physical form" the system said it's voice slightly lower in shame as it could not follow it's master's directives

"What are you?" At that the screen chimes as the voice proceeded to explain

"I'm the log in star conquering system, I exist to help master grow, become strong, and conquer the universe for all of eternity" while still cautious, Alex nodded along, while it was vivid, he could remember this concept from when he read shity novels on the internet back before he was abducted "alright, explain what your functions are, system"

With a happy chime the system started explaining "I'm the log in star conquering system, my functions are log in, inventory, lottery, fusion, and inspect. Does master wish for me to explain each in detail?" The system said it's female mechanical voice holding a hint of glee at it's master's attention "yes" Alex said, his voice cold and calculating after his 5 years of torture and experimentation

"Here is a detailed explanation of each function of the system, log in; master can "log in" at various spots around the universe, or witness/be a part of certain events gives the host rewards according to time, place and event."

"Inventory; an infinite pocket dimensions within the system for storage of strictly none-living matter"

"Lottery; spend tickets to roll for different rewards from all across fiction, bloodlines, powers, tech, weapons, etc"

"Fusion; certain items can be fused into better items, however they have to be compatible for them to work"

"Inspect; inspect the status of yourself, others, or gain information on anything you can see"

Nodding along to the system's explanation Alex spoke "that last one would be extremely useful if I truly want to survive, information is power, power is everything within this universe, that is what I learned from the past 5 years."

"System, is there any startr sign in or reward for me?" Alex asked remembering that detail from the fanfictions and novels he read as a kid back on earth. "Yes master, if you want, you can sign in for activating me" Alex nodded and a system screen popped up in front of him

"Sign in complete: activate the Sign in Star Conquering System your rewards are:

Titles:

1) the personification of the indomitable human spirit: your spirit is unbreakable, you never yeild, never falter in the face of pain, in the face of death, your only fear is to not be able to fight on. Hostile members of other species have an instictual fear of you, members of your own race have an inclination to believe and follow you

2) the one who overcame all odds: you overcame against insermountable odds, and rose up against your oppressors. Your will now manifests physically in an aura around your body, against weaker willed opponents, all their abilities have a 50% decrease

3)the one who survived: you survived against many near death situations, your mind never broke. You heal faster than a normal human, broken bones can be repaired in a day or two, normal cuts can be visibly seen regenerating, you don't need food or sleep anymore.

Not a moment later, Alex fell to the ground in pain clutching at his head as [High Specs] integrated with his whole being and an insermountable amount of languages flooded his mind along with basic understanding of the culture they come from

A few moments later he sighed, the pain subsided, and with it, came intelligence he'd never thought possible, subjects that previously seemed completely indistinguishable from gibberish, now felt as easily understandable as one plus one equals two

Alex sat down, he knew now was the time to plan out his next moves before returning to earth. "First, I have to take care of my arm, I've been ignoring it up until now, but I have to do something about it, I don't think a piece of cloth will be enough"

Alex sat up, and started exploring the ship he's been in the last 5 years, he first went to the control room, having an understanding of the lay out because of [Extra Skill: Language of The Ancients] he figured out these aliens were rouge scientist, while such experiments were legal on the planet they came from, they wanted to serve themselves instead of the overlord of their planet, not like he cared but it's good information, he then stopped the ship's course

Next he went to the storage room, searching around he found what he was looking for, alien bandages, he removed the cloth around his right arm and wrapped the bandages around the stump tightly, ensuring no bleeding until he can figure out what to do about his arm

Looking at the walls, lined with pods of several disfigured test subjects, some were human... Others not. "Doesn't matter, they will be good test dummies for later" he went through an automatic futuristic looking door before entering a security room, there he found basic energy based melee weaponry and firearms as well as exoskeleton suits designed for different races "this will come in handy later once I start making my own equipment, but, for now..." He walked over and took an energy knife, some sort of heavy duty, energy-based rifle, and energy-based dual pistols

After fully equipping himself he now had the knife in a strap across his chest the dual pistols in their holsters on his hips and the heavy duty rifle across his back.

He then exited the security room, walking back into the storage room he walked into the other door he saw there, which led to the living room

It was effective and sufficient, 3 beds, a mirror, a closet, and a window for outside the ship. He looked in the mirror seeing himself for the first time in 5 years.

He had shoulder length crimson hair, golden, hardened eyes, a frail physique due to being devoid of good nutrition and exercise for the past 5 years, and naked because the scientist got a kick out of his squirming at the start when he was naked. "Huh... Forgot about that..." He said before opening the closet and seeing nothing but the same annoyingly horrible looking cloths the scientist wore he decided to summon the system

"System" the system screen appeared in front of him "how may I serve you master?" The system asked it's female mechanical voice a little to eager to be summoned by it's master. "Can you make me some clothes? I can't wear that piece of crap" Alex said jabbing a finger into the closet full of those horrendously horrible looking cloths "of course, my lord, but it will cost you System Points" the system replied in it's usual monotone mechanical voice "I presume that's one way to get tickets for the lottery, how do I gain System Points?" Alex asked, now used to only having his left hand he was rubbing his chin with it, "by signing in, or achieving requirements for titles you can gain System Points" the system replied. "I see, alright, do it"

A practical, tight shirt and pants formed around his body, with undergarments of course, all practical and combat and movement focused

He exited the living quarters and stood in front of the last door in the storage room it was a heavy door, and looked like it would take a lot of strength to open, strength he didn't have

For now, he'll leave it alone, but later he'll...
