The apartment was quiet as night settled, the kind of quiet that stretched for miles, where nothing rushed, and everything moved at its own gentle pace. Aria sat at the edge of their bed, her hands resting on the small roundness of her belly, and Leon was beside her, flipping through a baby name book, his brow furrowed in concentration.

He paused on a page, the light from the bedside lamp casting a soft glow over his face. "What about Evelyn?"

Aria tilted her head. "Evelyn…" She let the name roll around her thoughts, then smiled softly. "It's lovely. Elegant."

He nodded, marking the page. "I think it suits a little girl."

A comfortable silence settled between them before she spoke again, her voice quieter this time, more reflective. "I wonder what kind of parents we'll be."

Leon set the book aside, turning to face her fully. "The kind that make mistakes, probably." He smiled at her. "But the kind that love fiercely."

Aria reached for his hand, her fingers threading through his. "I want to be the kind of mother who always listens. Who makes sure they know how much they're loved—how much they mean, even before they can understand it."

Leon squeezed her hand. "You already are." He pressed his forehead against hers. "I'm just here to back you up."

She chuckled softly. "Well, I'll need the backup, believe me."

The room seemed to grow warmer, as if the very air around them was alive with the shared anticipation of a future still forming. They both looked out the window at the moon, its soft silver light spilling into the room, and for a moment, the world outside seemed so far away. As though there were nothing else left to worry about, nothing else to focus on but this—this life they were creating, the three little heartbeats inside her, the love between them.

"You know," Aria murmured, "we should probably figure out names for all three of them."

"I thought we were just picking one at a time?" Leon's voice was teasing, but there was a warmth in it too—something soft that made her heart skip a beat.

Aria laughed. "I know, but every time I look at a list, I feel like none of them are quite right. I want something that matches who they are, even though I don't even know them yet."

"We've got time," Leon said, kissing her forehead. "But I think Evelyn is a good start. For the girl."

Aria smiled, closing her eyes as she rested against him. "I like it. What about the boys?"

"We could name one after you," Leon said, grinning. "How about 'Aric'?"

She raised an eyebrow. "Aric?"

"It's a variation of your name. And it sounds strong." He kissed her gently. "Perfect for one of our boys."

She laughed softly. "You're terrible."

He chuckled. "I was serious. And the other one?"

"Hmm," she thought for a moment. "Maybe something with meaning. Something solid."

"What about 'Alexander'? It means 'protector,' and I know that's exactly what we're going to be for them."

Her heart swelled. "That's perfect." She reached for the notebook on the nightstand. "Let's write it down."

They spent the next few minutes quietly jotting down names in the notebook—Evelyn, Aric, and Alexander—and Leon added little notes beside each, as if trying to justify their choices. When they finished, they both leaned back, content in the moment.

"I can't wait to see them," Leon said softly, a trace of awe in his voice. "To meet them."

Aria nestled closer, her hand resting on his chest, feeling his heartbeat steady beneath her fingers. "Me neither. I already love them so much."

"So do I," he murmured, pressing a kiss to her forehead. "So much."

They both fell into a comfortable silence, each lost in thoughts of their future, of the family they were building with their own hands, and of the tiny lives growing inside her.

In that moment, the quiet wasn't empty. It was full of everything they had become and everything they still had yet to be.
