Celine: She is Jena's friend, she is naturally smart, not just at the school but in life, she is bright and thoughtful girl with a calm, grounded presence. She loves reading and has a soft spot for old bookstores and rainy afternoons.
Alley: she says thing that don't quite make sense but somehow they feel oddly wise she mixes up words like calling a microwave "a food thunder box" and believes strange things. She wears mismatched socks on purpose "to confuse the ground" she says. She sees the world in way no one else does, but she is not smart as her friends.
