Muni still found it difficult to wrap his head around what had just happened right in front of his eyes.
He wasn't new to gore after all but the stunning display and the sheer suddenness of it had caught him off guard.
But when he did regain his senses he chuckled and stood up, walking backwards to where his sword had fallen off in the midst of their struggle. His eyes still trained on an equally baffled Sanit.
"That was just horribly well done," he said, trying to put some distance between them.
Sanit stood up staring down at the dead man and then back at Muni, before turning completely to face him.
"You're not mad?"
"About what? Him?" Muni almost laughed at the thought, "not in the least. You did me a favor actually."
His fingers found his sword's hilt and he brought it in front of him, alerting Sanit who tensed up.
"Relax, I'm not attacking you," Muni smiled and stood straight, "but I do have a proposal."
"What is it?" Sanit's wary voice came a bit shaky.
"You can join me. Us," Muni revealed a dark tattoo on his shoulder, "I think you got the guts for it."
"I don't understand." Sanit feigned ignorance but his mind was racing. It was the same imprint as the dead man's. Only brighter.
Muni rolled his eyes, "the dark faction chutiye, it's a right fit for you."
When he saw Sanit glance back at the dead man Muni cackled, "yeah he was a former member but don't worry we don't take deaths too personally."
Sanit stared at the guy before shaking his head, "no."
It seemed blase to say just that but at the moment he couldn't think of a better way to refuse.
Muni's eyebrows twitched, a smudge irritated. And he became more so when Sanit stayed quiet.
"What? No explanation? Just a definitive no for no reason? Or do you think you're too good for us?" Muni pointed his sword sideways and tilted his head in a judgemental stare.
Sanit raised his hands, "I was already going to leave when you guys attacked me. I'm the one who needs an explanation don't you think?"
Muni began to say something but he shook his head instead, "you know what, it's fine. I was the idiot to extend an invitation to a lowly inborn like you anyway," he followed that up with a charge and rammed his sword at Sanit.
The charged up weapon should've sent Sanit flying upon impact but he escaped it at the last moment, further infuriating Muni who now began to swing mindlessly.
"Die! Fucking die!"
Sanit delivered a blow to the back of Muni's head and sent him stumbling to the walls.
In response Muni stopped himself by jagging his blade on them, making the entire ground shudder.
Whoa, does that sword of his hold this much power?
Muni grinned and turned, "you see that? You should be scared of what this can do if it comes into contact with your weak ass body!"
He lunged again and Sanit dove away.
KRANG!
BZANG!
Loud sharp noises echoed through the place as both of them moved in fast motions through the corridor trailing faint dust behind them and sparks of lights from Muni's energized construct.
Sanit couldn't give even an inch knowing it would have disastrous impacts on him but he was losing his footing.
It isn't even a skill. He's fighting like a manic person.
But he got an opportunity and took it to bash Muni's skull against the rock wall.
It accomplished two things.
One was to severely disorient Muni who was already exhausted from flailing his sword around.
The other was to bring down the wall upon them both.
TUMBLE
RUMBLE
Sanit groaned at the weight of the rocks and debris but his eyes immediately searched for Muni who was now making his move towards him, clearing rocks and all with his sword as he sent them flying.
Sanit's leg was trapped just then which meant he was left completely open.
Shit
"Raaaggh!"
Muni's furious roar accompanied him bringing down his sword heavily on Sanit. The blade pierced through his shoulder and cut in diagonally across his torso.
"Aahhh, fuck!" Sanit yelled in pain.
Muni grinned at the successful landing and tried to cut deeper but he was prevented by a jagged rock blocking a straight movement.
So he decided to saw through Sanit's body using his sword instead.
KRECHUK
KRRACKK
Sanit faintly felt a bone break and lashed out as his bloodlust overtook him, delivering punch after punch on Muni.
Muni ate it for the first few times but he felt the intensity about to increase so he tried to get free when he felt Sanit's hands suddenly grab the blade and his eyes widened.
"What the hell?" Muni muttered.
Dust particles flew free as they both struggled to injure each other but when it cleared Muni saw it.
Sanit had pulled out the invading blade with his fingers wrapped around them and a faint glow emanating from them. It was unquestionably a construct. Though crude but unmistakable in it's form.
"How is this trash–"
Sanit interrupted Muni's words by a ferocious kick to his abdomen, "get the hell away from me!"
He grabbed the sword but lost it as more rocks buried him and he began to find it hard to breathe though it helped him quell his bloodlust.
He realized he was breathing too heavily under all the rubble and closed his eyes, the pain stinging and his mind going numb.
Hah…hah! I survived! I think!

'The hell am I even doing?' Dipan thought to himself as he pocketed the stone from another one of the carcasses that Sanit had left in his wake.
He had been collecting the stones from them for the past hour now.
"'Take care of this for me, I'll be back,"' who does he think he is? Arnold?"
But even as he said that he couldn't wrap his mind around what he had seen.
An inborn fighting like that. With bare hands and no construct.
How much had he dreamed of being in such a position himself? To show the Awakeners and the doubters that their arrogance was for naught.
Dipan was still being careful despite the several dead Rakshasas as he knew one could sprout out of nowhere.
He had just bent over to pick another one when he heard the loud sound.
BOOM!
CRASH!
He immediately winced and fell back to try and hide himself. Out of the corner of his eye he saw it in full view.
A green colored guy was fighting with Sanit who was bleeding all over but also had this ghastly pale look full of a strange unnatural rage in him.
It took a while for Dipan but when he finally realized it was an Awakener Sanit was fighting his jaw dropped.
'Who the hell is this guy even?!'
Sanit flew up and delivered a smack from the top on Muni's face which made him wither away and he snapped at Dipan.
"Don't just stand there! Grab him!"
Dipan stared at him like he was a crazy person, "w-what?"
"Get over here dammit!"
Muni pummeled a fist into Sanit who flew back and hurtled into the wall then turned to Dipan "stay out of this you filth!"
Sanit rose up and bit into Muni's ankle from his lower position causing Muni to scream as he brought his sword down awkwardly.
To that, Sanit twisted and shoved his elbow right into Muni's groin area causing the latter to stop breathing for a moment and clutch his organs.
"You crazy idiot–"
Sanit would not have been able to escape the blow if not for Dipan applying himself.
He had gathered the sand and dust around them, to pull back on Muni who struggled to get free. Finally deciding to use his inborn abilities.
"What now?" He asked not believing what he was doing right then.
"Hold him like that," Sanit reached around and grabbed Muni's arm which still held the imbued sword which was heavy now from the mass in it.
"What are you going to do?"
"Break his fucking arm." Sanit said with gritted teeth.
Both Muni and Dipan's eyes widened almost together at what Sanit had just said.
"You're not serious are you?" Dipan's voice shook.
"He called you filth." Sanit grit his teeth with the effort of pinning Muni, "you still wanna show him mercy?"
When Dipan didn't reply Sanit continued, "you can close your eyes if you want, just hold him tight."
Muni gargled his own spit in desperation and turned to Dipan, "you…you tell him he's mad, god please. You will tell him right?"
In response Dipan simply closed his eyes and turned away, his grip only tightening around Muni who immediately became hysterical.
Sanit took it as a nod and grinned towards Muni, while coughing up blood from his own chest injury, "I hope this hurts like bloody murder for you."
"You're both mad! Stop him you fool…noooo!"
CRACK!
SNAP!
"KAAAAGGHHHH–AAAGGHHH!"
The sound of arm snapping and bones scrunching made Dipan wince, and the added sounds of Muni's blood curdling screams were not helping him either.
"Can you just stop?" he said without opening his eyes. Hoping he had been heard.
But all Sanit responded with was, "don't open your eyes yet."
And Dipan shut up.
For a few minutes it continued. The screaming that is. Till it finally stopped. Then there was only an eerie silence followed by it.
Dipan had sat on the floor, his grip loosened and his hands covering his ears, "is it over?"
"Sanit?"
He heard coughing and opened his eyes to immediately close them back again.
What he had seen in front of him for just a millisecond was enough to will himself out of attempting that again.
He heard more coughing and a grumbling voice come nearer to where he was on the ground, "let's–go…"
Dipan felt a heavy hand lie on his shoulder and he immediately stood up, faintly recognizing Sanit's voice.
He only dared to open his eyes when they had walked a few steps ahead and didn't give a second glance backwards.
