Five days after the terrorist devastation of Tepes and Carmilla's towns.
Back in Japan, we awaited responses from mythological factions.
Rizevim Livan Lucifer, the biblical "Lilim," and Asem, a foreign god.
Their emergence and ideologies caused chaos among Underworld, Heaven, and other gods.
Using evil dragons for global havoc, aiming to revive Trihexa, and declaring interdimensional war.
Mythological leaders deemed this the highest danger level.
Allied factions decided to strategize against Qliphoth, escalating into a historic, cross-religious international issue.
As an otherworld returnee, with Miu and Alice as natives, I was summoned to the summit.
I explained Ast Aarde—its world, gods, and circumstances. Leaders, gods, demon kings listened intently.
Some wanted to dissect Miu and Alice—rejected instantly.
Can't tolerate their bodies being probed.
Sazex, Azazel, and Michael smoothed things over; I threw in a light threat.
Rizevim's group hasn't acted, but factions remain on high alert.
Midnight at Kuoh Academy.
Occult Research Club, Student Council, Azazel, Griselda, Dulio, Tiamat, Ikuse, Sairaorg, Seekvaira Agares, First-Gen Son Goku, Vali's team.
Incredible lineup.
Vali's team and Son Goku!
Elite warriors gathered.
Rias asked Azazel, "What's the higher-ups' reaction?"
"They can't ignore this. Even uncooperative factions agreed to talks. Rizevim and Asem's ideologies are dangerous—proven by the vampire territory destruction," Azazel said.
They caused massive casualties.
Just the beginning.
Azazel sighed. "Some mythologies suggest military intervention. Odin, Zeus are advising restraint, but more attacks could shift that. Evil dragons, eradicated by myths, are rampaging under Lucifer's son. The beast riot was 'Underworld's problem'—now they see the threat. Trihexa vs. Great Red could collapse the world."
"—!"
Silence.
Knew it.
Two Great Red-tier beasts fighting? Obvious outcome.
If Great Red falls, the dimensional guardian—unimaginable chaos.
I questioned, "They're only wary of Rizevim and dragons?"
"I get you. Some highly alert Asem's group, but others focus on Rizevim—half-doubting Asem," Azazel said.
Tiamat scoffed. "Who's that idiot?"
"Understandable. Rizevim's danger is infamous. An unknown like Asem takes backseat," Rias added.
True.
Otherworlds were theoretical. A god from one, wreaking havoc? Hard to believe.
Rizevim's plenty dangerous, though.
Azazel smirked. "Don't worry. We're not under attack. Just a shared enemy problem."
Griselda added, "Michael's negotiating as God's proxy. Some aggressive factions calmed."
Angel Chief for the win!
Azazel raised a finger. "Leaders propose a counter-terrorism team."
Counter-terrorism?
All ears on Azazel.
"Post-vampire terrorism, factions are alert. Gods are strong but can't fight directly—politics. We need a team to counter Rizevim, mobile and capable."
Makes sense.
Gods vanishing would be catastrophic.
He scanned us. "This team needs free, strong members. You get it? You're the anti-terror mixed team. Elite and mobile."
Young Four Kings, Azazel, Blade Dogs, Irina, Griselda, Dulio, Dragon Kings, Son Goku.
Unmatched roster.
No objections.
"I'm in. We must unite," Rias said.
"No issue. I'll fight with Rias and Issei," Sairaorg said.
"No objections," Sona added.
"Same. Likely support role," Seekvaira said.
"No prob. Better with youngsters than alone," Son Goku agreed.
Son Goku's in!
Dulio mused, "Hmm."
Azazel asked, "Problem?"
"No, just need a name. It's a team," Dulio said.
True.
Needs a name, not just "anti-terror."
Koneko muttered, "—D×D."
Eyes on her.
Flustered, she continued, "Mixed team… felt right."
Rias asked, "'D×D'? Great Red?"
"No, Devil, Dragon, Downfall, Fallen… various," Koneko said.
Azazel nodded. "Name's needed. 'D×D'—protects Great Red, clear. I'm good."
"Not bad. Safe," Dulio said.
"Don't care. Up to youngsters," Son Goku added.
Others agreed—safe choice.
Some factions might dislike it, but they can't move, so we do.
Azazel pointed at Dulio. "You're leader."
"…"
Dulio froze, then— "Ehh!? Me!? Why!?"
Panicked.
Not his thing.
Pointing at me, "Issei's leader! Otherworld hero, perfect!"
Me?
Everyone here knows my secret—not secret anymore.
Azazel said, "I get it. Issei's ideal for otherworld issues. But devil or fallen angel leaders? Bad optics. Evil image. Angel's better—human-turned-angel scores points."
True. Angels have better PR.
Dulio groaned, "Decided like that? I'm not…"
Doesn't want it.
Griselda interjected, "Dulio, it's an honor. History-making. Do it. As the Ace, you must."
Ordered!
Scary Griselda!
Dulio caved. "Ugh, can't win against Sis. Fine, I'll do it!"
Stepping forward, "So, I'm leader. Let's do this."
No enthusiasm!
Step up, leader!
Perfect in skill and role—high hopes.
Azazel to Son Goku, "Sub-leader, sorry for the secondary role."
"No prob. Young fire's better for lead," Son Goku accepted.
Leader: Heaven's Ace. Sub-leader: Son Goku.
Team's epic.
Azazel to Vali, "Your team joins to deter Rizevim's plans, easing distrust."
Vali's team, ex-Chaos Brigade, is distrusted. Joining mitigates that.
Vali's power is vital.
Vali asked Albion, "No issue teaming with rivals?"
"Fine. Red, shall we discuss our thousand-year fight?"
"No issue, White. Old tales are fun."
Dragons care more about chatting than teaming.
So chill!
"Pretty chummy," Vali said, bemused.
Right?
"Together, breasts, butts—fearless!" Albion said.
"Boobs, hips—bring it! We won't yield!" Ddraig added.
"'Nay'!"
They said "Nay"!
"Mwahaha! I'll bind you both! To a new world!" Tiamat roared.
"Nooo!"
What's this goddess doing!?
Screams!
Leave them be!
"Binding?" Vali asked.
"Don't ask! Can't teach you Dragon SM! Sorry, our goddess is sorry!"
What's Dragon SM!?
I don't know!
"Two Heavenly Dragons settling here? Wild," Sairaorg mused.
Right—caused by me…
World's unpredictable☆
"Vali's Chaos Brigade ties are heavy," Sona said.
Azazel scratched his cheek. "Odin offered to adopt Vali."
"Seriously? Not you, his foster parent?" I asked.
"Devils, fallen angels—bad optics. Odin's an ancient god. His adoption silences complaints. Conditions apply, but freer movement. Vali?"
Vali paused, "Cooperate when beneficial. Otherwise, independent."
"Agreement?" Azazel asked.
Vali's indirect OK.
Vali, Odin's adopted son—huge title.
To Kuroka, Le Fay, "I'll entrust you here. Call if needed."
"Got it, nya," Kuroka saluted.
I sighed, "Still house freeloaders?"
"Hehe, take care, Red Dragon Emperor♪"
"Kuroka, you ate my ice cream!"
"And mine!" Alice jumped in.
She steals post-bath treats!
Unforgivable!
"Teehee, oops☆"
Not sorry!
Arthur spoke to Le Fay, "Good chance. Join this team. Take the amnesty. —Red Dragon Emperor."
"Yeah?"
"You're seeking a mage contractor. Contract with my sister. With you, Underworld's hero, she can return home."
"Got it. Cool, Ravel?"
"No issue. Joining clears Chaos Brigade ties," Ravel said.
Perfect manager!
"So, not immediate, but contract soon. Le Fay?"
"M-Me? Honored to contract with you!" Le Fay nodded.
Arthur smiled—rare emotion. "Deep thanks. I'll repay this."
"You care for Le Fay, huh?"
"She's my only sister."
"Get it."
Felt a bond with Arthur.
Fellow big brothers—sisters are precious!
We shook hands.
Miu asked Azazel, "How's the team operate?"
"Normal life. Can't move this group easily—everyone's got roles. Coordinate during incidents. That's the setup," Azazel said.
"Makes sense," Miu nodded.
Can't disrupt life—move as needed.
Son Goku stepped forward. "Youngsters want strength?"
"What's that mean?" Rias asked.
He grinned. "I'll train you all. Minimum—high-class devil, angel, fallen angel. Eventually, ultimate-class."
Son Goku training us!
Perfect sparring partner—diverse skills!
I added, "I want everyone to learn Zone. Extreme focus state—changes battle levels."
Zone: peak concentration, shifting time perception.
Essential for future enemies.
"No forcing. Brain-intensive, risky—double-edged. Tailored training," I said.
"For Asem's group?" Azazel asked.
"Yeah. Veeka likely uses it. Bell too."
"Servants that level? Headache," Azazel groaned.
Same…
Son Goku said, "I'll teach dragon combat. Must face gods."
Post-meeting, at home.
Alone on the rooftop, leaning on the railing, gazing at Kuoh's night.
"Quiet… well, midnight."
Vampire town's midnight battles made this feel quieter.
Anti-Terror Team 'D×D'
A symbol against terrorism.
We'll fight Rizevim, Asem with this team.
Revived evil dragons Stolen Grail Trihexa Lucifer's son
And—
"Asem, Ast Aarde's god. I won't let you ruin this or that world. I'll stop you."
As I resolved alone—
Someone entered.
"Thought you'd be here, not in bed," Alice said.
Pajama-clad, sandals, approaching.
"Weren't you asleep?"
"Was. Woke up."
She leaned on the railing beside me.
"Anti-terror team—big deal," she said.
"Yeah. Different from past attacks. Trihexa could destroy the world. Everyone's desperate. A team like this could've helped in Kyoto or the beast riot."
No use dwelling.
"Tell Maurice?" she asked.
"Yeah. We're going there. You and Miu come."
"Right. Precautions needed there too."
"Best if no precautions needed. Gotta prevent it."
I clenched my fist.
Alice placed her hand over it. "Same. I'll stop it. No matter what."
Fierce eyes, firm grip.
I smirked. "Don't overdo it. Don't want you wrecked again."
"Ugh… sorry for worrying you," she said, sheepish.
I've worried others plenty, but—
Seeing Alice bloodied, I thought my heart stopped. Her life's flow was there, but shocking.
Looking at the sky, "Gasper holding lifeless Valerie reminded me… loss's terror."
Never forgot it—always inside.
Gasper's tears mirrored my past.
Finding bloodied Alice after Eugrid…
"Knowing you were alive—relief. Thank you for living."
Alice teared up, holding back. "I'll get stronger. Never lose again. No overdoing—don't want you stopping me."
"Haha, please—my 'Queen.'"
"Got it—my Master."
Smiling, a cold breeze hit.
Alice shivered. "Achoo!"
"Thin clothes? You'll catch cold. Back to bed?"
"Haha… stay a bit. Rare chance."
"Rare?"
"Don't worry. Nice jacket."
"Don't tell me…"
Her mischievous grin. "Exactly♪ Let me in."
"Fine…"
She slipped into my jacket, looking happy.
My 'Queen'—quite the clinger.
We gazed at Kuoh's night.
'Daywalker's Extracurricular' concludes.
Longer than expected with plot threads and new characters, second to 'Princess of Otherworld Summoning.'
Alice the main heroine? Double-heroine setup, but she stole the spotlight.
Before the next arc, a side story's planned. Content TBD, so a brief pause.
End.
