Chapter 4 - Awakening ceremony 2

Finding out the table next to the Gremorys and the Pendragons. Sitting next to my mother and grandfather, we all watched as the lights dimmed slightly and a woman walked onto the platform.

"Hello all, I thank you for coming to the national awakening ceremony. Today we have a wide range of spectacular guests and children with bright futures ahead of them. Such as Nero Sparda from the house of Sparda," the woman spoke as a spotlight went to the Sparda family table and focused on Nero, who sighed in annoyance.

"We also have Rias Gremory and her peerage members awakening today."

"Riser Phenex from the legendary Phenex clan,"

"Aurther and Artoria Pendragon from the House of Pendragon,"

"Sona Sitir from the Levianthan Family,"

" Akiyama Rinko from the Taimanin clan,"

"Lastly, but definitely not least, five children from the Kujo clan, including Haruto Kujo, the future head of the Kujo clan,"

As the woman looked at the main people who would be awakened, she took a step back, pointing to the statue that would be the focus of their attention.

"I know that you are all excited and curious to see what abilities these children will awaken, so I won't keep you in suspense," the host said with a small laugh.

"First up, would young master Nero please step forward?" the host spoke.

As people gave a round of applause, Nero stood up with a sigh and made his way towards the statue. Already knowing what to do, Nero walked past the host and bit his finger before placing a drop of blood on the statue.

Slowly, that statue's eyes began to glow alongside the demonic wings—first one, then the second, then the third. Stopping there, a large amount of mana left the statue and entered Nero's body, causing his eyes to start glowing with a deep blue light.

As his eyes glowed, the ever-power-hungry Vergil looked on as his son's arm began to change, until it became a dark blue, demonic arm with light blue cracks that radiated power. Floating above him, the figure of an ancient demonic being with matching arms faded away.

"Woah, what an incredible start to the night, a third-ranked awakening," the host cheered alongside the others

Looking over at the now old Sparda, you could see the faint smile on his lips as he spoke.

"I expect nothing less from my grandson," Sparda laughed.

Checking out his arm, Nero made his way back to his seat.

"Next, would Rias Gremory please come to the stage alongside her peerage members?"

One by one, Rias and the other went up on stage and followed the same ritual of placing a drop of blood on the statue. With Rias reaching third-rank demonic status due to her awakening, the others all awakened to second rank, accompanied by a dim light on third rank. Akeno awakening her lightning magic, Kiba and his sword creation skill, and Koneko awakening her fox fire fist.

With another round of applause, each of them took their seat, Rias maintaining her composure but a small arrogant smile on her lips.

After that, Riser went up and got a second rank and a medium glow on third rank awakening. Sona also awakened as a third-ranked demon.

After that, the Rinko girl from the Taimanin clan walked up. With her long purple hair and footsteps so silent that you would have to watch her the whole time she was moving. Reaching the stage, she followed for the first time, and the pure mana wings began to glow. With three of them activating, a dark shadow appeared from above her and began to surround her. With it fading away, the aura around her seemed also slightly to disappear as if she were a ghost.

With gentle claps from her clan, she walked back to her seat next to a woman with pure white skin and what seemed to be a closed third eye on her forehead.

Moving on to the Pendragon, something surprising happened when Arthur ascended; he awakened all four mana wings and was chosen by the sword god and predecessor, Aurthr Pendragon, Prince of Britannia. Even more surprising was when Artoria had two angelic wings and two mana wings, as Athena chose her alongside the Saint of Lucia.

"Incredible folks, the first dual awakener in five years, this is quite the sight to bear witness to," the host praised

With the house of Pendragon cheering and a slight annoyance on the face of Sparda Artoria and her brother sat down. Her brother is not hiding his excitement and pride.

Finally, moving on to my family, all my siblings went first. All of them had awakened second rank mana talents, nothing that caused too much excitement, but made them happy nonetheless. Until Dale went, he had awakened a fourth rank dragon flame mana talent, which caused his pride to rise, and my grandfather to clap in pride.

"A fourth rank mana talent. Such an amazing awakening, I wonder how the next family head will compare. As the son of the Legendary Hunter Saruto Kujo,"

"What will you do, Haruto? A fourth rank mana talent is rare?" my grandfather asked.

"I will simply have to surpass him. That's the only outcome," I said with a grin as I stood up.

Walking up to the statue, I looked over at my mother, who had a gentle smile on her face. Looking over at Ouro, I could see her wishing me good luck as my grandfather looked on in interest.

Following the other, I bit my finger and placed some blood on the statue. Once I had done everything, everything around me went black.

Seeing the notification before me, I could not help but grin.

"Finally, you left me dreaming of the day," I replied

[Apologize, host, would you like to show your pride as the descendant of the Golden Dragon and the next sin of pride]

"Of course, make sure it's a spectacle to watch."

[Of course, host]

The next moment, I found myself back in the hall with everyone staring at me in confusion and anticipation. Seeing the statue not reacting, people began to believe that I had failed to awaken.

As people whispered to each other, I looked over at my mother, who had a worried look on her face. Giving her a wink, I looked back at the statue.

Once I did, he began to glow, each eye glowing with a bright golden light. Slowly, one by one, each of the draconic, angelic, demonic, and mana wings began glowing brilliantly. With that, a burst of golden mana was released from the statue, causing a shock wave.

Blocking their eyes from the wind, everyone looked back to see a golden spirit dragon alongside an angel made of flames, a woman dressed in a dress made of tree leaves, a pure white koi spirit, and a blue wolf with five eyes, all of which were looking at me. Slowly, each of them entered my body.

With each spirit, a wave of energy was released. The angle released a wave of heat that melted the glass cups and lit banners of fire next to the spirit koi, then entered, freezing the flames and causing it to snow. Next, the nature spirit entered my body, healing everyone who had gained burns and frostbite wounds. Next, the wolf spirit ran around my body at light speed until it turned into gauntlets and greaves before they faded away.

Lastly, the dragon stared at me for a moment before speaking.

"My child, you have been chosen to take my place as the golden dragon god. Failure is not an option. Take my power and reach the pinnacle of all races." Entering my body, there was a large burst of golden energy that shattered all the windows and caused every normal person to sudder at the oppressive aura and light.

As it slowly faded away, I got a look at my new body. I had two new golden and black wings with a tail. Both of my hands had the features of a dragon, with golden scales, but my claws on my right hand were blazing hot, while my left hand was ice cold.

"In my opinion, waiting twelve years was worth this level of power," I spoke as my partial dragon form faded away, and I returned to my original look.

"...I can't believe it...a fourth rank awakener...and someone chosen by five different deities in all aspects...this...this is history in the making," the host spoke, her shock evident in her voice, which was felt by everyone at the ceremony and watching it.
