Gara looked at their stunned faces. He almost lifted his chin in pride, but stopped himself, unwilling to appear overly arrogant.
"I awakened my third Talent. Invisibility," Gara replied casually. "As for the explosion… what's the problem? Was it considered powerful?"
He was far too relaxed. So relaxed that Ramun began questioning reality itself.
Was having three Talents normal? Was producing explosions of that scale in the first year of training normal?
He shook his head sharply. Of course it wasn't.
The way he looked at Gara changed completely. No longer just the proud gaze of an elder watching a promising junior, but genuine admiration. The kind reserved for someone who might surpass him in one or two years.
Karon and the Duke had plenty of questions too, but Karon gestured for Ramun to continue the test. They needed to see the full extent of Gara's ability before making any judgment.
Questions could wait.
