Gara welcomed them with a warm smile.
"I knew it," Yuvika murmured under her breath, a faint, bitter smile tugging at her lips.
Meanwhile, Orman looked like he was about to cry.
"Does this mean I'll get to spend even less time with Madha now?" he whimpered.
Surprisingly, Kevio was the most normal one among the three.
"Congratulations on your engagement," he said sincerely. "Even though my father couldn't attend, he sent a gift. It's also his way of thanking you for all the help you've given me at the academy."
Gara let out an awkward laugh. Kevio's words almost sounded like a jab, but he knew that wasn't the intent.
Beside him, Hilda leaned closer and whispered, "The gift from Kevio's father is a carriage made from premium-grade materials."
"Please give my thanks to your father," Gara replied.
It was quite the coincidence. He didn't actually own a luxury carriage. Not because he couldn't afford one, but simply because he never felt the need.
