c90: Goku Goes to Universe 10! Vegeta Trains Trunks
"By the way, when can we return to the future world?" Son Goku suddenly asked, curiosity flashing in his eyes.
Everyone turned to look at Future Trunks.
Trunks hesitated, then said solemnly: "The time machine my mother built was designed for one round trip. The fuel was completely consumed when I arrived here. So, if I want to return to the future, we need to gather more energy for another trip."
"This won't be a problem. Leave it to me!" Bulma replied confidently, brushing her hair aside. "I'll synthesize the necessary fuel as quickly as possible. Thankfully, Black didn't destroy the time machine. Otherwise, we'd be in real trouble!"
"In other words, we should thank Luya for that," Krillin chuckled. "If it weren't for him holding off Goku Black, the time machine would've been vaporized."
Luya gave a modest smile. "It was a small effort. I had my eye on Black Goku the whole time. When I saw him aiming for the time machine, I jumped in."
"Regardless, you've done a great job, Luya!" Goku laughed and patted his shoulder.
Luya nodded slightly and said, "That Goku Black... he's no ordinary opponent. Goku, have you considered the possibility that he might actually be you or rather, a version of you?"
The room fell silent instantly, and everyone looked toward Goku.
Goku was stunned at first, then his eyes narrowed with thought. "Yeah... when I fought him, I definitely felt something off. His ki was similar to mine, but there was a twisted edge to it. It's not exactly me... but there's a weird connection between us."
Luya nodded. "That's all I wanted to confirm."
"I've figured out who that ki belongs to!" Beerus suddenly interjected, his voice sharp and commanding.
"Really?! Lord Beerus, who is it?" Goku asked quickly.
Beerus looked at Goku seriously. "Goku, come with me. I'll take you to someone who can explain this better."
"Huh?" Goku blinked, confused by Beerus's sudden urgency, but didn't argue.
Luya glanced at Beerus knowingly. Of course, he was thinking of Zamasu, the apprentice Kaioshin of Universe 10—a being with a deep grudge against mortals and a cold, divine sense of justice.
Beerus turned to Bulma. "Since you insist on solving this future mess, fix the time machine quickly. But this will be the last time. Once this situation is resolved, the time machine must be destroyed. Tampering with time brings chaos."
Bulma looked stunned for a second, but then nodded quickly. Of course, she had her own thoughts Beerus couldn't read her mind.
"Alright, see you all later. We'll be back after checking this out!" Whis smiled brightly, then disappeared with Goku and Beerus in a flash of divine energy.
"Wait! I just remembered something!" Bulma suddenly exclaimed after a pause.
"What is it, Mom?" Present Trunks looked over, puzzled.
Bulma's eyes gleamed mischievously, but she shook her head. "No, never mind. Just thought of something unrelated."
Trunks nodded, still confused.
"Hey! You come with me. Before you go back to your future, I'm going to train you!" Vegeta barked suddenly.
With his usual pride, he turned and walked off.
Future Trunks immediately followed his father.
"Well... I guess we'll head back too," Krillin said, glancing at Piccolo.
Piccolo gave a small nod. The two of them took to the sky after all, they had unfinished farming duties. The carrots in the field weren't going to harvest themselves.
Luya also said goodbye to Bulma. He wanted to get in some more training before they returned to Trunks' world.
Once the courtyard was empty, Bulma grinned slyly to herself and whispered: "How could I forget? I still have the prototype time machine in storage. If I can repair it, I'll have two machines! Even if Lord Beerus destroys one, I'll still have the backup! Hohoho~ This lady's a genius!"
Her chuckle grew louder as the idea took hold.
"Boss… boss, I have a bad feeling about her smile..." said one of the Pilaf trio nervously. Even Shu's fur stood on end.
Mai and Pilaf also looked uneasy.
"Hey! Quit standing around! Help me gather the materials! I need to finish the fuel synthesis!" Bulma shouted.
"Yes, ma'am!!" the Pilaf trio responded immediately, dashing off to assist her without hesitation.

Elsewhere, Luya arrived at Kami's Lookout.
Dende and Mr. Popo looked slightly alarmed. Would Luya enter the Hyperbolic Time Chamber? That place was terrifying enough already.
But Luya simply approached Dende and asked, "Dende, do you know where the Elder Kai is?"
Dende blinked. "I do, but I can't open a path there. Why do you want to meet the Elder Kai?"
Luya smiled. "Just a small matter. Never mind if it's not convenient."
He had originally wanted to ask the Elder Kai about Time Rings, like the one Goku Black used. But after thinking about Beerus's temper, he decided it wasn't worth it. If he got accused of meddling in divine affairs, it would be a headache.

It was Future Trunks.

Trunks snarled and launched a retaliatory flurry of ki spheres that detonated mid-air, stopping the attack.
From the dust emerged a blur Vegeta. He appeared right in front of Trunks and unleashed a savage combo of strikes.
Trunks shielded his face, stumbling back from the overwhelming blows.
"Ha!" Trunks roared, finally powering up, golden light exploding around him—he had turned into a Super Saiyan. His aura blew the ground apart, even forcing Vegeta to step back slightly.
Seizing the moment, Trunks launched a counterattack of his own!
His fists struck with fury, pushing Vegeta back step by step.
"TA-TA-TA-TA!"
Bang!
With a powerful punch, Trunks knocked his father away and immediately charged a giant ki blast.
But Vegeta didn't flinch. He smirked, his aura flashing as he calmly transformed into a Super Saiyan as well, then waved a hand and smacked the blast away like swatting a fly.
BOOM!
An explosion echoed in the distance, followed by a massive dome of light.
Vegeta looked at Trunks. "Stop holding back. Use your full strength."
Trunks gritted his teeth and then erupted with a massive scream. His energy surged as his hair spiked up even more violently.
He had transformed into Super Saiyan 2, electricity crackling around his body.
Vegeta responded in kind his own golden aura flared to Super Saiyan 2 with a thunderclap.
"You said Goku Black grows stronger during battle," Vegeta smirked. "So... if that's the case "
Vegeta suddenly roared and his aura morphed into radiant blue. A divine calmness surrounded him as he ascended beyond mortal limits.
"This... this is..." Trunks's eyes widened.
"This is Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan or what we call Super Saiyan Blue!" Vegeta announced, glowing with godly might.
"Super Saiyan Blue... It's incredible..." Trunks whispered, overwhelmed.
"Why don't you ever use Super Saiyan 3? And... can Uncle Goku also transform into this?" Trunks asked.
"Of course he can. Though there's still a gap between us," Vegeta said calmly, frowning slightly as he recalled his struggle to reach Super Saiyan 3 in the past. "But that form consumes too much stamina. This form is better."
"Now keep coming!!"
