c74: Superman Water! Fake Vegeta Appears
Three days later.
Somewhere in a remote forest.
Vzzzt!
A sudden flicker of energy warped the space around the clearing as the surrounding air twisted and vanished into silence.
A lone figure stood where the energy had burst—Luya had arrived.
Luya smirked slightly, his expression showing a flicker of excitement. "I've gotten my Time-Skip down to 0.3 seconds..."
Three days of intense training, using the enhanced capabilities of his Saiyan potential, had brought him this far. Simulating Hit's Time-Skip, even partially, required relentless focus. Though far from Hit's mastery during the Universe 6 vs 7 tournament, Luya's progress was undeniably fast.
But just as Luya was reviewing his results, he paused—sensing something strange.
His eyes shifted skyward, brows furrowing.
He placed two fingers to his forehead, channeling his ki.
"Vegeta, Trunks... and Goten. They've left Earth," he muttered. "If I'm right... they're on Planet Potofu."

Luya blinked. "A mission?"
Before he could respond, he vanished in a blink.

BOOM! BOOM!
A violent battle unfolded in the rocky canyon below. Explosions rocked the terrain as several figures darted through the smoke-filled sky. Laser blasts cut through the air, forcing them to dodge frantically.
"Goten! Faster! They're gaining on us!" Trunks yelled, carrying Monaka on his back.
Beside him, Goten carried an old man gripping a strange object—a pacifier-shaped artifact glowing faintly.
Behind them, a mob of alien warriors—skin pink and eyes vacant—chased them with relentless aggression. These were no ordinary enemies; they were possessed.
The cause? A mysterious substance known as Superhuman Water, also called Komeson.
Earlier, Trunks and Goten had accidentally boarded Monaka's cargo ship, ending up on this strange world. Before they could get their bearings, they'd rescued a local elder under attack by intergalactic fugitives. That act of kindness had backfired: the fugitives seized Monaka and forced the boys into a confrontation.
Their leader, Gryll, sought the elder's artifact—rumored to be a key sealing the Superhuman Water, a legendary substance said to copy fighters and steal their strength.
But once the key was used, it triggered a catastrophe. The water absorbed the criminals and spawned perfect copies with even greater power than before!
Now on the run, Trunks and Goten were doing their best to protect Monaka and the elder.
Suddenly—
CRACK!
"Agh!" Trunks tripped over rubble, crashing to the ground and dropping Monaka.
"Trunks!!" Goten called, halting midair.
ZAP! ZAP! ZAP!
A volley of laser blasts shot toward the fallen Trunks!
"It's over…" Trunks thought, eyes wide.
But just then—a burst of power split the sky.
BWOOM!
A figure blocked the attack. With swift, precise movements, the energy blasts were deflected and dissipated.
"Dad!!" Trunks gasped.
Vegeta stood before him, arms crossed, his expression fierce.
"Running off without permission? Bulma was furious. You're lucky I showed up," he scolded, but his tone softened slightly.
"Sorry, but if you hadn't come, we'd be toast!" Trunks said, helping Monaka up.
Vegeta scoffed, then glared at the alien pursuers. "And who the hell are these clowns?"
"That's... that's Gryll!" shouted Jaco, flying in behind Vegeta, panting. "One of the top fugitives on the Galactic Patrol's most-wanted list!"
Vegeta raised an eyebrow. "Hmph. So you're the punk causing trouble."
"Hehehe…" Gryll stepped forward, his expression twisted. "You're stronger than the kids. Perfect! I'll absorb your power too!"
"You think you can absorb my energy?" Vegeta sneered. "What a joke."
"We'll see soon enough." Gryll raised his hand, and his minions charged.
"Trash."
Vegeta disappeared in a flash and reappeared behind one of the attackers. WHAM! A single punch knocked the enemy out cold.
ZWOOSH! WHACK! BAM!
Vegeta blitzed through the mob, dropping one enemy after another, vanishing and reappearing with deadly precision.
"No way…" Gryll muttered, shocked. "He's wiping them out like flies!"
But then he smirked again, eyes glinting. "Still… that doesn't matter."
Vegeta raised his palm and fired a barrage of ki blasts, incinerating the remaining minions in one clean wave. The pinkish liquid they left behind oozed across the battlefield, squirming ominously.
"Be careful, Dad! That stuff's alive!" Trunks warned.
Vegeta landed and stood before Gryll. "You're next. Choose how you die."
"Haha… confident, aren't you?" Gryll said, chuckling. "But this is where things turn."
"What?"
Suddenly, from behind Vegeta, a blob of pink slime lunged out of the ground—a piece of Komeson that had broken off!
"DAD!!" Trunks screamed.
The slime wrapped around Vegeta in an instant, engulfing him completely.
"NGHHH—WHAT IS THIS?!" Vegeta struggled furiously, but the more he fought, the more energy was drained from him.
His body weakened rapidly, his limbs grew heavy, and his ki vanished.
Moments later, the Komeson spat him out, and he collapsed near Trunks, panting heavily.
"No… way…" Vegeta whispered. He stared in disbelief as the pink slime morphed into a mirror image of him.
A Pink Vegeta, exuding malice.
"Hahaha! Behold!" Gryll laughed triumphantly. "The power of Komeson! It copies fighters and makes them even stronger!"
Vegeta stared, horrified. "That… thing stole my power…"
Trunks rushed to his side. "Dad! Are you okay?!"
Vegeta growled weakly. "What mess have you gotten into this time…?"
The elder clutched the pacifier key and stepped forward, guilt on his face. "I never imagined… it would come to this…"
But before anyone could respond, Fake Vegeta launched forward!
"TRUNKS! MOVE!" Vegeta shoved his son aside just in time to take the full brunt of the punch.
CRASH!
He slammed into a rocky wall, groaning in pain.
"Dad!!"
