But reality is not that kind, and he must keep moving, since no one likes to die, right? So follow the story of Vali Lucifer, the Demonic Dragon of Supremacy and Nothingness

Important Notes before reading

1. This is a rewrite of my own story with some real big changes, and yeah, I hope you like this one just as much as my other works. I will still take inspiration from other similar works, but I will make them my own.

2. As I said, this is an AU Massive Multi Cross, and the girls will be integrated into the world, not just put there; they, just like Vali, will be truly a part of the world, with their own lives.

3. It is inspired by Rapturous Rhapsody by ReadingDangerously. Seriously, a good read, it's long, thought out, and one of the greatest stories I've ever read. Go check it out, it's really good. Have fun.

4. If you don't like it, just leave, and don't leave a hateful comment, and if you do. Leave something productive, or just leave without doing anything. Have A Nice DAYYYY!!!!

5. All images are AI-generated

6. This is a Harem, what can I say, I love harems. But yeah, it will be a large harem. You've been warned. But I don't know the exact number. I will add the girls I really like. There will be occasional adult scenes in this FF.

7. No Rape, No NTR, No Yaoi, for Yuri, I really don't know, it is a 79% for yes, but you never know, nothing is finalized until I do it, and even then that can change.

Chapter 1: Death I, Not Edited

Though it was a standard teen room, it was heavily personalized. The walls were a show of the young man's passions, plastered with a great many posters of dragons, creating a mythical menagerie.

Dominating the collection were images of Toothless, the Night Fury, blown up on a nightstand, and the figures of Ddraig and Albion from an anime powered by boobs.

There were also posters from video games and cinema that featured prominently, including the iconic Fire-type Pokémon Charizard and the legendary Pokémon Master of the Sky, the sky serpent Rayquaza.

The terrifying three-headed cosmic monster King Ghidorah and the undisputed king of the monsters, Godzilla. Completing the dragon collection were posters of the purple hero, Spyro, and the dark and powerful Acnologia.

Interspersed with the dragons were an equally impressive collection of anime posters and figures. The room showcased key art from Naruto and the ecchi fantasy series High School DxD.

The pirate adventures of One Piece, the explosive battles of Dragon Ball, the superheroics of My Hero Academia, the dark and gritty future of Cyberpunk Edgerunners, and the guild camaraderie of Fairy Tail.

In the center of this decorated space, a young boy was lying asleep on his bed. He had black hair, slightly messy from sleep. He wore nothing but a pair of boxers, his usual sleepwear, which showed his body.

He wasn't lean or particularly fit, but he wasn't fat either—just an average, maybe slightly pudgy sixteen-year-old.

[RING RING RING, RING RING RING, RING RING RING, RING RING RING!]

The insistent sound of an alarm rang out through the early-morning silence, immediately waking the young man.

He squinted, clutching the pillow to his face. "Arrgg, come on, I really don't like that." He said with a groan of displeasure, his voice still filled with sleep.

With reluctance, he got out of bed and began his morning routine. The first order of business was to cleanse away the remnants of the night, so he went into the shower.

As the warm water streamed down, he began to sing "A Little Death" by The Neighborhood, echoing in the small bathtub.

[A/N: You can skip this; it is just some lyrics from "A Little Death" by The Neighborhood.]

"♫Touch me, yeah."

"I want you to touch me there."

"Make me feel like I am breathing."

"Feel like I am human."

"Dancing through the night."

"A vodka and a Sprite."

"A glimpse of the silhouettes"

"A night that they never forget."

"Touch me, yeah."

"I want you to touch me there."

"Make me feel like I am breathing."

"Feel like I am human."

"Touch me, yeah."

"I want you to touch me there."

"Make me feel like I am breathing."

"Feel like I am human."

"She sought death on a queen-sized bed."

"And he had said, 'Darling, your looks can kill."

"So now you're dead."

"Touch me, yeah."

"I want you to touch me there."

"Make me feel like I am breathing."

"Feel like I am human again.♫"

As he finished the verse, he took a deep breath, turned the faucet off, and grabbed his towel to dry off before getting dressed.

He put on a black shirt and paired it with black pants. Finally, he accessorized his outfit with some red, black, and white Air Jordan 1 lows.

The young man gathered his things, threw them in his backpack, and left his dorm for the cafeteria. The air in the hallways was quiet, indicating it was still relatively early.

Upon arriving, he looked over the large dining hall. Seeing only a few people in there, he headed straight for the breakfast line. He went up to the food place, where the attendant waited, and presented his meal card.

He grabbed his usual heavy breakfast- pancakes, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, and a large orange juice- and ate alone at a corner table.

He opened his phone and played a video his teacher had given as research material for the class. It was a video about thermodynamics, electricity, and magnetism.

'Damn, I really hate this shit. While the boarding school is nice and all, they give us an allowance, but the work they want us to do is insane.'

The young man thought he had lived in this boarding school ever since he was a child. He was able to leave the orphanage because of his high intellect, but he was also lazy and, like most young people, disliked school.

[RING RING RING, RING RING RING!] After he watched the entire video, the bell rang, signaling that breakfast was over and it was time to go to class.

The young man grabbed his backpack, threw away his trash, and headed to math class. When he arrived, he went to his usual seat at the very edge of the class, where he was not easily visible, so he was not called on as often.

And that was how his usual day went: going to class, answering when called upon, not actively participating, and leaving for the next class, all till the final class ended.

When the next bell rang, he went to a small, family-owned food business a few blocks from the boarding school. It wasn't the boarding school cafeteria that had so many options, but it had a nice, homey atmosphere.

He walked up to the counter. "Hi, Maria. The usual today, please?" he asked with a small, lazy smile.

Maria, one of the owners, smiled back warmly. "Hey, Vic! Coming right up, sweetie. You need your fuel for the homework, right?"

She said with a small smile. Victor got to know these people by accident. He just wanted to get a slushy from Speedway, but got hungry on the way and saw the restaurant, and he'd been going there at least once a week.

Saying hi, she told the cooks to get started on his meal, a custom-ordered wrap or sandwich, which was a seamless routine.

He was taking out his wallet as they prepared the food, taking the needed amount of cash. A few minutes later, Maria handed him a wrapped meal and his change. "Here you go, Vic. Enjoy."

He left the restaurant just as he got his meal, walked back to his dorm room, sat down, and ate his food there, savoring the familiar taste.

To accompany his meal, he played the song Headlock by Imogen. He then went to the waifu catalog, a popular digital thought-experiment platform where users design personalized fantasy worlds. This was a mental escape, a way to channel his intense fondness for fiction into something for fanfiction.

He began crafting an elaborate scenario: making an edited High School DxD build. In this fantasy, he designed himself as a Substitute as Vali Lucifer.

A powerful character known for wielding the White Dragon Emperor's power, but with a unique twist, using the power set and cool demeanor of Satoru Gojo as a template. He made sure his character had dragon heritage.

Most importantly, he ensured that the fictitious Vali had a retinue of powerful and helpful female characters, selecting them for strength, loyalty, and ho… personality.

He didn't want any males in the retinue due to a few reasons, mainly because he likes women. He spent the rest of his meal assigning his character a whole lot of other perks and talents, detailing everything from superhuman charisma to the ability to use other power systems.

He finally finished his food and logged out of the fantasy builder, feeling slightly recharged by the mental break. He then flopped onto his bed and went to sleep, dreading the next day since it was finals.

While he was intelligent, his laziness also reared its ugly head, making him procrastinate hard, but, unknown to him, that was the least of his worries, and Victor, with no last name, died in his sleep.

When Victor opened his eyes, the very first thing he saw was Darkness. A profound darkness was immediately followed by the magnificent emergence of the distant, glittering stars, each a pinprick against the Darkness.

His vision moved, revealing not just the countless stars but also other planets, their accompanying moons, and even an astounding array of celestial bodies far beyond his understanding, such as terrifying black holes, violent supernovas, and countless other cosmic phenomena throughout the universe.

If anyone, including Victor himself, were to wonder and be perplexed as to why he was not instantly sucked into the inescapable gravitational pull of a nearby black hole or why he was not destroyed and/or vaporized by the cataclysmic amounts of energy released from the supernova.

It was due to a single thing: he no longer had a physical body; he was merely a transparent being, a consciousness floating in the vast emptiness of space.

When Victor, in a state of disbelief, looked around, taking in the serene beauty of the stars and nebulae, since he thought it was a dream, he had no idea he was dead.

The glorious, star-dusted panorama and all the other cosmic things that were there moments before suddenly vanished.

In their place, he saw a normal office; it was much like the one his principal had, but it was a bit uncomfortable, since he had just been in a dark place, and a completely black, feminine figure, covered in shadow, sat serenely at the desk, her hands interlocked.

"Here, come have a seat," the dark figure said, her voice sounding not just in his nonexistent ears but directly in his mind.

Victor walked slowly to the opposite chair from hers, still thinking it was a dream, but he had someone speak to him in a dream a few times, so he thought nothing of it; it was just more interesting than most.

"We have an awful lot to talk about. Oh, I should introduce myself. I am the Death for this entire Multiverse, so I think you may have a few words and significant questions for me."

She finished her words with what seemed like a polite, knowing smile upon her dark features, as she looked at him.

Victor looked intently at the woman calling herself DEATH, and, still thinking it was a dream, he raised a questioning eyebrow. The black feminine figure leaned back slightly in her chair.

"So, let's get straight to the point of the matter," she began, her tone devoid of any flowery sentiments or comforting words.

"So you died. While you may think of this as a dream, it's not. You did die, but someone wanted you to do a favor for them, and since you picked me as your patron. I think it is the least I can do to let you have your fun till you can complete said request."

She said, not mincing any words, and explained why he is here.

Victor, processing the mind-boggling information he was just given, just looked at her figure blankly for a few minutes, his mind trying to think of a reason.

"Okay, so you're saying this is not a dream?" The young man questioned, his voice turning fearful, but other than that, he still believed it was a dream; the possibility of being dead scared him.

She responded promptly, "Yes, you are dead, and since you chose me as your patron, I will be the one to guide you somewhat. Greater Death is someone who likes to help, which is quite contradictory to her job."

She said, with what seemed like a sad smile, since she knew this was just a child, a baby even, to her sense of time, but she and he had no choice; it's just the way of things.

"Are you kidding me? I just went to sleep, Im only 16, I can't die, I'm too young, and why, why me, why am I here?"

The young man asked, his head in his hands, his voice hollow, and seeing his hands only made the truth more obvious.

"I am sorry, young one, but someone wants you to complete a task. There is a good side to that waifu catalog you made; it will be your power, and you have a lot of time before you need to do what needs to be done."

Death said as she got up and patted the young man on his head, but the young man just kept his head in his hands. While he heard what she had said, it did not change the fact that he was dead.

"Haaa."

A gentle sigh came from Death's lips as she just waited for Victor to get his emotions under control, which only took a few hours, all things considered.

'So, for one, I'm dead; that's not great. For two, someone or something named Death, as in the Death of the Multiverse, like in Marvel and DC, is the one telling me this. For three, I am being asked? Forced?'

Victor thought as he pushed his head into what he felt was a comfortable embrace or nice soft pillows, and Death just stroked his head as if he was a child, not caring that he pressed his head into her breast.

'I really don't know which one it is, but someone wants me to do a task, and I know nothing about them or the task. Finally, I will be reincarnated as Vali since she said my reincarnation will be based on that, but I should have done some other things, but it's still a good build, so I should be fi...'

Victor thought it was going to be okay since he made some pretty overpowered choices, but then he remembered to make those choices logically; he had to increase the world's difficulty and take on some other points.

'Damn it, why, why, why, why! Why the hell did I make the world's difficulty as great as possible, as bad as Warhammer 40K, and I had to go into debt or whatever it is.'

For a 16-year-old loner, it was quite short, but the thoughts about the world and his debt plagued his mind. When Death felt him calm down enough, she went back to her seat, and the young man felt like he had lost a comfortable blanket, but he looked at Death.

"So, umm, who is that person who wants me to complete the task, and what is it?" He asked softly, but Death only had a feeling of remorse for him, since he could not see her face.

"I apologize; I can't tell, but you will know. I think you should go off to your new life. Some of your abilities will not be available to you at the start, but they are there; you just need to awaken them."

Death said with a small, sad smile, but Victor could not see it. Just as she was about to send him away, Victor raised his hands, which stopped her.

"Okay, I understand you don't want me to know, but what about the debt, world, and umm... the companions I picked out?" The young man said with a bit of embarrassment at the end, but he wanted, no, needed to know.

"Oh, they will be integrated into the world; some will be born in your time period, while others will be much older, but all of them will be there. Regarding the debt, I have taken care of it for you, for the one who wants the task done, and for the world; I can only say I am sorry. It may be hard, but if you do it right, you won't die. So if that's all."

Death answered his questions with a small, sad smile, but it was also a knowing one.

With a wave of her hand, Victor turned to small, black, dust-sized particles, and his ashes were sent to the Tier 10 world of Draconic Dues, in the body of a beaten, malnourished young boy with silver hair.

"So lets see what type of champion you chose, T̴̢̨̲͓̘̠̝̺̝͓̙̼͆̊̑͛Ê̶̢̧̧͇̬̭͇͇̳̭̮̦̐͆͆͆̆̔N̷̰̘͉̜͕̲̹̬͛R̷̡̢̘̳͇͙͗̈́̈́̊͂̀̕Ḙ̴̢̜͖̕Ĺ̷͚͍̜̱̹̣ͅA̶̡̧̢̦͙̼̻͈̦͉̲̐̊͛̂̒̃͋͘͜ͅM̸̨͈͕͖̰̦͕̮̲̞̪͆̂̽̉͂̀̒̍́̚͘͜͝A̵̧͓̠̲͇͙̺͒͑́̈́̎̓̍̽͛̐̊̈́͋S̶̢̛̠̞̪̥̰͓͖͓͚͊̉̍͊͊̈́̅͘͠R̷̡̤̩͎̽͐̈́̇͊͂̀͘A̶̭̳͇̱̥͇̰̖̲̠̾͒́̈́Ś̴̙̗͙̹̅͂̚͝Ã̴̺̯̩̱͌͐ͅ, I do have a few other things to do. Have a nice future life, Vic... No, your name is now Vali Satoru Lucifer."

She said, pulling a bottle out of nowhere and drinking from it, looking directly at the world of DxD. She was just a fragment of Greater Death, so she also wanted Vali to have a good life, for as long as he could.

"Haaa, now I have to get the girls; why did he have to pick so many? At least I can see his type." Death said to herself after she finished her wine and got up, looking at the vast cosmos of the Multiverse.

End of chapter

[A/N: I was going to add in him being reincarnated/transmigrated into Vali, but it is too long for my liking, and I do have some Companions to kill, then transmigrate into different eras and shit, so leave a comment. Have a great and blessed day (just great if you're not religious).]
