Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Gojo Satoru.

Mei Mei stood silently, eyes scanning the small boy sitting on the ground. Despite his fatigue and the lingering trace of powerful Cursed Energy still radiating faintly from his body, she could tell—he was the one who exorcised that Cursed Spirit.

Still, she asked to confirm. After all, it was nearly impossible for a child to defeat a Grade 1 curse, let alone one bordering on Special Grade. And the energy burst that had drawn her here earlier… it was monstrous.

The boy didn't speak. He simply stared at her with guarded eyes. Mei Mei sighed quietly, rubbing her temple. She had never been good with children—especially ones this small and wary.

She composed herself and crouched slightly, offering a kind smile. "Don't be afraid. I'm a Jujutsu Sorcerer. Think of me like the police, but for monsters. Can you tell me what happened here, little one?"

"…Jujutsu Sorcerer…"

Something clicked in Hajime's mind. That term—it meant something. His thoughts raced, memories flooding back.

Jujutsu Kaisen.

He knew this world. Cursed Spirits, Jujutsu Sorcerers, Techniques, and Cursed Energy—all stemming from negative human emotions. Those born with the ability to manipulate that energy were the ones who stood against the darkness.

The images came faster now—he hadn't watched much of the anime in his previous life, just a few episodes here and there. But enough. The name "Mei Mei." The blue hair. The elegant confidence.

This is real. I've reincarnated into the world of Jujutsu Kaisen…

And that meant—his so-called "telekinesis" was Cursed Energy. Was he gifted?

Mei Mei's smile was beginning to strain when the boy finally spoke.

"…My name is Kamihara Hajime. A monster ate her, so I killed it."

He pointed to where Haruna, one of the orphanage staff, lay unconscious.

Mei Mei followed his gaze, knelt beside the woman, and examined her. "She's okay—just unconscious. The Curse didn't corrupt her too deeply. She'll recover with rest."

Returning to Hajime, she picked him up with practiced ease. "Alright. I'll believe you for now. The big one's down, and I've cleaned up the rest. Let's go. Did you see anyone else survive?"

Hajime nodded and mentioned two other children who were hiding.

With one hand carrying him and the other holding Haruna, Mei Mei stepped back through the shimmering veil of the Curtain. The barrier flickered as she passed through, the distorted world dissolving behind her.

She laid the two in the back seat of a black car. Moments later, she returned with the two children—frightened but unharmed.

Once things calmed, Mei Mei pulled Hajime aside. He had rested a bit and looked more alert.

"Help is on the way," she said gently. "But can you tell me what happened? All of it?"

Hajime paused, thinking. Now that he was sure this was the world of Jujutsu Kaisen, a new purpose crystallized in his mind.

Join Tokyo Jujutsu High.

He had no family. He couldn't train alone forever. If he wanted to grow, to survive, he needed proper guidance—from the best.

From Gojo Satoru.

Hajime decided to share a version of the truth. Enough to be impressive. Enough to make them notice.

As he recounted what had happened, Mei Mei listened intently. Her eyes flickered with subtle emotion—curiosity, maybe even admiration.

When he finished, she gave his head a gentle pat. "There are some snacks in the car. Police and medical teams will be here soon, so just wait a bit."

Hajime climbed into the car and quietly shared the snacks with one of the rescued kids, Kumiko, who was nibbling on crackers with tired eyes. Out of the corner of his eye, he watched Mei Mei step a few paces away and pull out her phone.

"Satoru," Mei Mei said with a faint smirk, "you're not going to believe this."

She glanced at the boy in the car.

"In the middle of that Curse's semi-formed innate domain… a child exorcised it."

She listened to the voice on the other end, then continued, "Yes, he's awakened a Technique. And his Cursed Energy is immense—almost terrifying for his age. He's even figured out how to use it on his own."

"…Come as soon as you can."

---

Screeching sirens broke the calm. Police and ambulances rolled in. Haruna and the two children were escorted away. Officers exchanged words with Mei Mei and began clearing the scene.

Then—another presence.

Hajime turned his gaze to the figure approaching the car.

White hair. Tall frame. Bandaged eyes. Black uniform.

He knew instantly.

Gojo Satoru.

The strongest Jujutsu Sorcerer. The man at the center of this world's power struggle. Hajime's heart pounded—part awe, part anticipation.

Mei Mei stepped out to meet him, motioning for Hajime to follow.

Gojo bent slightly, studying Hajime's face with a smirk. The bandages didn't hide anything—those Six Eyes could see everything.

"His name's Kamihara Hajime, right?" Gojo asked. "Impressive Cursed Energy. Good control for his age. Self-taught… That's rare."

He straightened and said casually, "Can I see your Technique?"

Hajime blinked, tilting his head. "Technique? You mean… my ability?"

Gojo snapped his fingers. "Exactly. Show me what that little spark inside you can do."

Then he slowly removed his bandages.

The Six Eyes. Ethereal blue, radiant, unnervingly sharp.

Under that gaze, Hajime inhaled deeply, focused, and activated his Technique.

The world slowed again. Time distorted. Energy surged through him with smooth familiarity. He moved deliberately, watching for Gojo's reaction.

The sorcerer followed every motion.

He could see him—clearly.

Mei Mei, however, looked startled. "I could barely follow that… Satoru, was that speed enhancement?"

Gojo folded his arms, thoughtful. "Not exactly. It's more than just acceleration. I'm not entirely sure yet… but it's interesting."

Mei Mei raised an eyebrow. For Gojo to be this intrigued meant something.

Maybe—just maybe—another Special Grade was beginning to take shape.

Gojo crouched, his smile bright and infectious.

"Kamihara Hajime," he said, voice light but serious beneath the playfulness, "you've awakened a Technique. You're no longer ordinary. You, me, and this lovely big sister here—we're the same."

"There's a school for people like us. Jujutsu High. It's fun, trust me. We'll teach you how to use your power properly."

"Wanna come with us?"

Mei Mei sighed. "Satoru, stop sounding like a sketchy child abductor. Also… he's a little young. Jujutsu High doesn't accept kids this small."

Gojo tilted his head. "He's awakened already. He's a walking beacon for Curses. Leaving him untrained is worse. If someone targets him…"

He glanced back at Hajime, who was clearly following the conversation.

Hajime spoke up, pretending to be hesitant. "So… what should I do?"

Gojo laughed. "Relax! I'll handle it. I'll arrange adoption, move you out of the orphanage… heck, the Gojo Clan can raise one kid, no problem."

He rewrapped his bandages, eyes twinkling behind them. "This place isn't safe for you anymore. Let's go somewhere better."

Seeing Hajime nod, Gojo grinned and suddenly leaned in with exaggerated menace.

"Actually, we're bad guys. We're here to kidnap you."

Hajime stared at him blankly.

Gojo waited, clearly expecting a dramatic reaction. Instead, he got a deadpan look of mild annoyance.

"…Tough crowd."

He burst out laughing.

Mei Mei just smiled faintly. "Still a child at heart," she muttered.

Then Gojo placed his hand on the back of Hajime's neck—and lifted him effortlessly.

"Alright," he said cheerfully. "We're off!"

"Don't forget my reward," Mei Mei called after him as they vanished.

The world shifted in an instant, and Hajime found himself somewhere entirely new.
