Lucas's jaw clenched as the memories unfolded one after another. After that first encounter, Sebastian Kane's behavior toward him had subtly shifted. Sebastian would suddenly take a keen interest in his presence, insisting Lucas attend every office party—and always bring Vivienne along. At the time, Lucas thought it was out of courtesy, perhaps even appreciation for his loyalty.
