Evan was surprised by Vanessa's insecurity. However, her insecurity boosted his ego as he felt how desperate she was for him.
"Silly girl, why do you ask such a thing? You know that you are the only one I love, you have been with me for a very long time, I love you so much." At the end of the day, he could not stand her tears as he embraced her in a bid to comfort her.
"You are the only one I love, you are the one I want to spend the rest of my life with, this was the promise I made to you while we were still children and I'm a man of my words."
Evan reassured Vanessa and she nodded while still in his embrace.
"I know you love me, but I can't help but feel scared, you have been around her for a long time, I know I should trust you but these are the feelings of a woman in love, it's just too complicated," she complained, airing her grievances to him.
