Footsteps sounded on the soft ground as they walked to the cemetery in Red Wood Springs by the train tracks, the lower income area of the city.
It was 1500 years later, Tany, Glinda, Gortrius, and Gladian stood before Sous and Kara's graves back in Canas.
"There weren't too many like her?" Gladian said.
Tany shook her head and shook it, acknowledging it. She loved that woman, that Alpha and to know so many years had past, it felt, weird still.
"Do you miss her?" Gortrius asked.
"Yes," Tany said. "I thought she would live a little bit longer. Kara did, lived into her hundreds."
"Kara was one fourth witch," Glinda said. "Sous was one fifth plus other species whereas Kara just had wolf."
Tany understood, she sighed. "Well, I could always talk to her spirit with a medium," the witch said.
The four witches turned from the grave and continued on about their day.
