Elevyn felt herself being dragged on the hard cobble stone. She imagined she was going to be taken to the same place she was taken everytime the Alpha came. To the room where she would be able to freshen up and feel nice for a change.
But when she felt her body being lifted up and throw into the back of a carriage, she knew this time was different. She was too weak though to put up a fight and even if she did, they would beat her into submission.
She hadn't her wand and she had very little confidence that she would remember any of the spells she was taught way back when anyway. Unlike Puimo, she didn't attend Hacate. No, she attended the school in Red Woods where the education was decent.
The carriage was a bumpy ride, it creaked and moaned, shuckled on the road. Her body was manhandled this way and that way to get her into the small compartment in the back.
She was at an odd angle but when she looked up, she was able to see some light coming from the carriage's window.
The voices came from the front and she couldn't recognize the language they were speaking. It wasn't Atin nor did it sound like anything she had heard before.
Evelyn closed her eyes. She was probably going to be sold off again and this time, she wouldn't be so lucky when it comes to her potential client or in this case, clients.
Time had slipped away from her and she was going in and out of conscious. One day, she was pulled from the back carriage and she felt colorful lights shining everywhere. When she opened her eyes, she saw they were in an urban city. A large one at that.
She awed and moaned at the same time for the pain she was in.
"This woman looks horrible," said a woman speaking in Atin.
Then Elevyn heard it, she heard Doureena's voice. "She wasn't being fed regularly."
"I see, bring her inside so we can get her washed up."
Elevyn pulled enough energy to lift her head up to see where she was. With the shops and building around her and with the signs advertising sex, sex, and more sex, she quickly concluded she was located within the red light district. She was in another brothel.
She was slammed into a large hot tub and maidens began to bathe her body. They plastered oil and soap on her, rubbing her in all the places that needed to be cleaned.
Doureena stood by the bath room's entrance and watched with her arms folded. She looked down at the madam who was rather short and plumped.
"Don't sell her to anybody."
"Why do you send me a woman I can't make money from?" The madam asked. She took out an eastern fan and began to fan herself. The fan was decorated with red and white dragons with long tails and little hands but large wings.
"I'm paying you to keep her hidden. She can not be found," Doureena exclaimed.
"Found by who?" The madam continued to wave her fan.
"SOUS!" Instructor Song waved his arms over in the snow as the students ran to him and the bleachers. They were wearing their practice winter uniforms, their breath white as it touched the freezing air, but Song still had a smile on his face. "Gather around, Sous, sit down. Give yourselves a round of applause! You all did amazing at this semester's sparring show. Third years, I'm so proud of you. You were able to do the tai chi matches with ease, the wing chun matches with confidence, and even kung fu matches with excellence. You all be good on Navititas break!"
The students got up and and wished their instructor a good ending of the semester as well. They ran toward the campus to quickly get into the warmth.
Sous and Faye shook off the snow that began to cover them. Faye rubbed her glasses down and placed them back on.
"I think wing chun is my favorite martial art style," Sous said.
"I think that may change once we learn wu shu."
They had learned four styles: judo, tai chi, wing chun, and kung fu. In their fouth year, they were going to transition into tae kwon do and wu shu.
Sous thought about what Faye said. "What do you think you'll like?"
Faye and Sous walked into the cafeteria to get dinner. Randali waved at them from their usual spot.
"I think wu shu or tae kwon do will be my favorites."
Sous could see that. Wu shu would allow Faye to incorporate her acrobatics and threading techniques, making a worthy opponent for wu shu enthusiasts.
They sat down at the benches to start eating dinner. "Also," Sous started. "Can I drain one of your zombies?"
Faye lifted up an eyebrow curious to see what Sous was planning.
Zhiliary made her rounds in the brothel and met back up with Doureena in the office of the madam. She walked in and closed the door, standing off to the side with her hands behind her back.
The madam nodded her head toward Zhiliary, "That one has a reputation of getting workers pregnant. Is she going to make trouble?"
Doureena looked back at Zhiliary who stepped forward to speak. "I request to mate with any of your witches."
"Request denied." The madam said. "I don't have any witches because I made a promise to them I wouldn't sell them for protection. They gave my brothel a cloak so as to avoid detection from authorities." She turned back to the Alpha. "Why witches?"
"She theorizes a werewolf and a witch hybrid can make for a powerful team," Doureena exclaimed.
The madam laughed. "Witches are loyal to no one. They do business with whoever offers the best prize. Whatever that may be. They haven't any enemies and they haven't any friends."
"Do you know of such powerful witches?" Doureena asked.
"Of course. Sisters from Nadia, the Witching Salons. They dabble in black magic. There's another witch who has since left her thrown on the Island of Dimona. Then the witch of Grim in Conaska. Theres also a witch in Vania who has a habit of turning children into black birds for misdeeds."
"And they are suitable to mate with?" Zhiliary asked.
"With the exception of the sisters, the others are rather old, even ancient." The madam answered. She rubbed her chin. "Sous...Sous...awe, she's the one that allowed the witch of Dimona to be free." The Madam paused, putting her feet up on her desk. "There is another powerful witch. She can cause instant death to anyone. She's so young though...fourteen."
"What's her name?" Zhiliary asked.
"Tania. A prodigy of the sisters and a student of Hacate."
Doureena turned to Zhiliary. "I'd rather you mate with Kara."
"This girl sounds like a good candidate for powerful offspring."
"Listen to your Alpha, dear," the Madam smiled. "She is young but I know she can easily kill you."
She snapped her eyes open in the night. She sat up and looked out into the darkness of of her room. All of her roommates were asleep.
She gulped and laid back down, pulling the covers to her chin, feeling a coldness not caused by the weather creep over her.
"Someone spoke of my name," Tany acknowledged, glaring into the night.
