There was a country that was further to the north west of Nadia. A country that was completed covered in snow. The country was a monarchy, with a king, queen, prince, and princess. Their warm and hot seasons were short and the cold seasons were long. For six months there was light with not a night in toe and then there was six months of complete darkness, not a sun in sight. The majority of the people that lived in this harsh country were wolves and humans with a few elves. The name of this country was called Conaska.
The language spoken in this country was harsh and rough on the tongue. It made for one of the hardest languages to learn, Nish was the language. Even still there was a princess that spoke it. A princess named Petun who often found herself opening her window in the cold nights, climbing down a rope, and running off to be with a female. Not just any female but an Omega wolf female. And Petun was human.
Petun was apart of the royal family. A family who's lineage began centuries ago as pipers. Non magae pipers that helped rid the place of rodents. During the present day, they no longer piped. Not only did they no longer piped but Petun even found herself enjoying the company of rats. They were cute, intelligent, easy to train, communicative. Their only downfall was living for about two to three years if lucky.
In her room fit for a princess, literally, Petun stood at her desk and looked at her bed. The canopy had blood trickling down, knowing it was going to leave stains. She planned to call her handmaids in the morning once she came back. As for now, the wolf that laid on her bed with a sword through its neck, dead. This wolf was a spy and meant no harm but one. And that was to keep Petun away from her lover.
The wolf would stay in her room until she got back later in the morning. She and the maintenence men would get rid of the body, burning it-they would do.
Petun ran down the cobblestone street that were being swept of its snow. She had one goal and that was to see her lover.
In the night and in the cold, she was bundled up with the only thing visible was her crown that she wore on her head. A princess crown that she hoped to share with the woman she loved one day.
Petun crossed the bridge and ran into the woods where the wolf community lived. There she would be waiting for Petun and it was true. She was waiting for Petun.
The Omega was waiting in the darkness. Her long black hair flowing with the chill of the night. The only thing that shown were her eyes as they laid upon Petun becoming visible within the darkness. Aticus smiled when she saw her and quickly ran to be enveloped into her lover's arms.
They embraced, they kissed, two young women who just hit adulthood saw only themselves at that point in time.
Aticus took Petun's hands and led her away deeper into the woods where there was a small cabin amongst other small cabins. Aticus opened the door and shoved Petun against it, completely wanting her right then and now.
And that's how Petun liked it. She liked, no, she loved waking up in her lover's arms or she her lover within her arms. The morning time only brought bitterness and a wake up call back to reality.
The two ladies got dressed and looked at one another before departing. Petun looked at Aticus. "Are they going to send any more wolves my way?"
The pack didn't like the Omega was seeing someone else. The Omega was seeing a human. That wasn't the problem. The problem was Aticus was mated to an Alpha. And though not the Alpha to the pack, this Alpha was considered the second rank to the pack Alpha.
Aticus stood by the window watching the snow silently inform the world of its presence.
"What happened to the spy?" Aticus asked.
"I killed him." She said with such calmness in her voice. The way Petun held her own was like that of an Alpha. It impressed Aticus. Humans were stronger than what was perceived by wolves. They may not have the Omega or Alpha sexes but their personality traits were just as definitive as the two.
Petun placed her arms around Aticus and gave her a kiss on the cheek. Together they stood by the window as one couple. Petun whispered into the Omega's ear. "They can send all the spies they want but they will simply die by the sword. They need to stop underestimating humans." She got closer to her lover and bit her ear. "We may not have strenth or speed or even magic but we have technology."
Aticus turned around to face Petun. This woman was the woman she wanted to spend the rest of her life with.
Knock, knock!
Both women turned to face the door. Petun quickly jumped over the couch, and took a glock from under the sofa. She checked for the silver bullets and placed the gun behind her back. She looked at Aticus giving her the eye, telling her to stay behind her.
Petun opened the door just a crack. She peaked her head out. Before her stood a washboy from the palace. Petun sighed and slumped her shoulders.
"Your Highness, the palace is wanting you to return. I shall guide you." The boy said. Petun looked at him then Aticus.
Aticus walked over and saw the boy. She smiled and looked at the little human. Humans could be so cute when young with their fat little cheeks. She just wanted to slap 'em!
The boy bowed to the Omega. "Hello, madam."
Petun placed the glock in her stocking since she was wearing a gown. And it simply wasn't lady like. Petun stepped out to have the boy guide her. She looked back at Aticus and held her hand, kissing it.
"Highness, should I guide her back?"
Aticus laughed and patted the human boy on the head. "Its fine. I can make it back to pack on my own."
They didn't kiss goodbyes in front of the boy so she parted ways by a simply blow of a kiss and a wave in the air. When Petun got back to the palace, she ran to her chambers after one of her handmaiden to go retrieve the maintenence man. The wolf that laid stiff on her bed had completely soaked her sheets and bed.
She waited patiently thinking about Aticus and what she was doing.
It would be easy to think that Aticus was in a relationship that was completely abusive. Where her Alpha beat her, mocked her, looked down on her. No. It wasn't like that at all.
Her Alpha was sweet, loving, kind, caring, strong, well built, yet feminine and womanly all the same.
Aticus walked in the snow leaving a trail behind her. She came to her home, the two story home that she shared with her Alpha and...child. Yes, she had a little baby Omega male. It was hard for her Alpha at first because her Alpha wanted an Alpha. The Alpha wasn't the most present when it came to taking care of the Omega. That was her one flaw.
Aticus ran to the four year old Omega that sat on the carpet playing with blocks.
"Mommy!" He screamed, running into her arms.
"Poop Poop!" Aticus squealed.
Her Alpha, Lyra, walked down the stairs that led into the living room. "Must you call him that disgusting name?" She laughed, hugging her wife. "Where were you last night?"
Aticus went to the fire place and picked at the small amount of flames. She sat on the brick barrier.
"You were with the princess?"
Nothing, no words.
"She's killing our spies."
"Stop sending spies." She finally spoke.
Lyra knelt down beside Aticus. "Do you want to keep being ruled by humans? We're stronger than them. We can take this kingdom."
Aticus shook her head. "If you try to take this kingdom, we will be massacred."
Lora smacked her lips and laughed. She kissed her wife on the forehead. She looked at her son who clapped his chubby hands together.
"You hear that, Potel, she thinks we'll be massacred." Lora stopped laughing and sat next to her wife. In a more serious tone, she turned to her wife. "I won't ever mock you. I believe what you say. But you must have faith."
Aticus shook her head. They could not nor would they win against humans. The wolves were smug, they were cocky. For a magae that had little ability to do magic, they thought that they owned the world. They believed that had the rights to this world and that everything was meant to be theirs. They were delusional especially the Alphas. The Omegas were to help their Alphas, to keep them in a right frame of mind. Too bad it was the Alphas that led.
