Boom!
Another brutal slam straight through the planet.
Under the repeated impacts, Moro's body was already mangled beyond recognition. Only his magic remained untouched, still at full strength.
He wanted to resist. He wanted to struggle. More than that, he wanted to find a chance to copy his opponent's power.
But his opponent had clearly seen through that intention. Not a single opening was left for him, and the more he waited, the more frantic he became.
"You want to copy my ability? I'm not going to make Merus's mistake."
Crack!
Moro jerked his head up in horror.
In the next instant, Levos kicked both of his arms off.
At once, Moro sank into despair.
To copy an ability, he had to touch the back of his opponent's neck with the palm that held the copy crystal.
And now that trump card had been completely exposed.
On the brink of death, Moro still possessed endless magic, but with his body ruined, his life was slipping away at terrifying speed.
His shattered body plunged into the molten lava deep within the planet.
As his consciousness gradually slipped into darkness, only his most primitive hatred and unwillingness remained.
"I... won't... let this... end..."
He wanted revenge. He wanted to devour that man, along with every living thing on this planet.
And yet even angelic power was as fragile as paper in the face of overwhelming strength.
...
After dealing with his opponent, Levos quietly returned.
Cooler and the surviving black-gold mechanical bodies had already stopped their pointless resistance. They had gathered obediently together, waiting for judgment.
"Mr. Levos, Frieza bled for Earth and contributed to Universe 7. Since my younger brother could do it, then as his older brother, I can certainly do even better..."
Cooler's voice was dry. As he looked at the shattered black-gold mechanical remains scattered everywhere, his eyes were full of pain and fear.
Those had been the greatest masterpieces he had forged with endless resources and effort, the very foundation of his dream to conquer the universe.
And now, they were destined to be absorbed by Cell Max.
Levos swept his gaze across the wreckage and could only sigh.
Ozotto's energy still hadn't been fully digested. Just absorbing the previous five black-gold mechanical bodies had already pushed Cell Max close to indigestion, let alone someone like Moro.
If Cell Max swallowed a monster with infinite magic like Moro on top of that, he would probably burst on the spot.
Just then, Levos's eyes were drawn to a figure not far away.
Android 21 had returned to her white lab coat form, but she was staring at the black-gold mechanical remains with naked hunger in her eyes. At the same time, there was obvious struggle in them, to the point her whole body was trembling.
"No. I can't do this." She lifted her head and looked at Levos, her face full of pleading. "Levos, help me. I'm about to lose control."
Those disabled black-gold mechanical bodies were like the finest gourmet feast placed right at her lips.
Levos thought for a moment before speaking slowly.
"Like I told you before, that other side of you is still part of yourself. You shouldn't reject it. You should guide it. Otherwise, sooner or later, your mind will split apart..."
With Majin cells inside her, a mental split would most likely mean something like what happened with Buu in canon.
One good self. One evil self.
That kind of division would weaken the original body, and that alone would be bad enough. But more importantly, Levos didn't like people who were purely good or purely evil.
If an entirely evil 21 were born, that would be simple enough. Kill her, or absorb her, and be done with it.
But a purely good 21 would be troublesome. What if someone bullied her? How much would she end up suffering later?
So he couldn't leave her problem alone. He had to keep her whole.
"Go ahead. Absorb them all. I'll handle whatever comes after."
At those words, clarity instantly returned to 21's eyes. When she looked at Levos, her gaze softened like water.
She unconsciously licked her lips as her body began to change. Her skin rapidly turned pink, and she transformed into her white-haired, red-eyed Majin form, wild yet still carrying a certain feminine grace.
In that form, 21's reason hovered on the edge of desire. Her eyes flickered between lucidity and madness.
Levos's voice remained calm. "You can master this power. Don't let it dictate your actions."
"I..."
21 looked at Levos, and the storm of thoughts inside her settled as if by miracle.
For some reason, she trusted Levos from the depths of her soul. That sense of closeness had become the pillar holding her sanity together.
"I can do it!"
She took a deep breath. The Majin aura around her gradually drew back in, no longer violent or wicked, but peaceful and still.
Seeing that, the hearts of Piccolo, Gohan, and the other Earth fighters, which had been hanging by a thread, finally settled.
They had accepted 21 earlier, yes, but deep down they had still been wary.
A companion who couldn't control her own mind was like carrying a bomb at your side, one that could go off at any moment.
No one knew when she might snap and slaughter the allies beside her.
But now, seeing with their own eyes that she had used her own will to suppress that devouring instinct, their acceptance finally became genuine.
"Looks like I underestimated her," Piccolo said heavily. "She really can control her power."
Goku, already separated from his fusion, grinned and scratched his head. "Wow, we really got another super strong friend!"
A snort sounded.
Bulma and 18 had already split apart, and Bulma arched a brow.
"I'd say your standards for choosing friends are a little low."
18 crossed her arms and stood off to the side, her face expressionless, though the caution in her eyes was obvious.
"Don't forget she still has another transformation with an even worse personality."
What 18 meant was naturally 21's Legendary Super Saiyan-like form.
After fighting side by side, both of them had mostly accepted 21 as a comrade. But trusting her completely was another matter.
As the others recalled that transformation, which had been just as violent as Broly's, they also couldn't help feeling uneasy.
"By the way," someone asked, "why is 21's Super Saiyan transformation different from ours?"
Cooler stepped forward with his analysis.
"According to Big Gete Star's data, after the battle against Zamasu, a large amount of genetic material from powerful fighters was left behind on this planet. Obtaining Broly's cellular data wouldn't have been difficult..."
Piccolo frowned. "I think personality plays an even bigger role. Her Majin form and Broly's Legendary form are both driven by negative emotions. Add in the Dragon Ball wish's potential boost and bloodline purification effect..."
"But Puar is still pretty rational."
Hearing everyone's guesses, 21 grew uneasy again.
"Levos, I want to try and see whether I can stay rational in that form."
Levos nodded.
In the next second, a green aura exploded from 21's body, intertwining with her original Majin energy.
Her white Majin hair turned emerald green. She retained the wildness of the Majin form, but with an added layer of violent savagery.
Majin form, stacked with Legendary transformation.
But this time, her figure didn't become grotesquely muscular. She stayed lithe and curvaceous, just as she was in her Majin form.
Embarrassed, 21 explained, "I don't like how I look when my muscles bulk up, so when I stacked the forms, I let the Majin side take the lead..."
The moment those words were spoken, all the companions finally let go of the last of their fear.
That single sentence proved not only that she had retained her reason, but that she had once again created an entirely new transformation.
Her potential was truly terrifying.
Compared to Cell Max, she might not fall short in the slightest.
"Majin form, golden form, Legendary form..." Piccolo muttered. "And now a fusion of them on top of that..."
"For a talent like this, only Levos can really keep her in check."
"That statement is far too imprecise, Mr. Piccolo."
Vados shot him a sidelong glance.
"If the Grand Priest hadn't sealed my angelic power, I could keep her in check too."
Piccolo fell silent.
You're a literal angel. Is that really something you should be saying? And what exactly do you mean by "keep her in check," anyway?
