Cooler and Moro's argument came to an abrupt halt as they both turned to look at Levos.
"Mr. Levos, it seems you still haven't understood your situation." Cooler let out a cold laugh.
"I admit that you're strong, but right now, you're nothing more than a dish waiting to be served." Moro's tone was full of pity.
"The ones who haven't understood the situation are you two." Levos remained perfectly calm. "Have either of you ever heard a famous saying?"
"Hmph. Playing games with words. No matter how famous the saying is, it won't change your fate!"
Levos smiled.
A golden figure suddenly appeared at his side.
Healing magic enveloped his body, and in an instant, he returned to his peak condition, completely restored.
"Cell Max! Golden form?!" Cooler's pupils contracted sharply.
A bad feeling surged up in Moro's heart as well.
It was not as if the two of them were unfamiliar with Cell Max.
The leaked full-view tournament footage had shown a few shots of him, though he had never entered the arena, so no one had been able to judge his true strength.
But Cooler felt this far more deeply than Moro did.
Back on this very planet, Dark Broly had been effortlessly crushed by Cell Max!
Cooler believed he could crush Dark Broly just as easily, meaning his own strength was no lower than Cell Max's.
What he had not expected was that when Cell Max appeared again, he would already have mastered a Golden transformation!
"In just that short a time, he's grown this much?"
And this Golden form somehow looked far more complete than Android 21's, with even greater pressure behind it.
Did that mean Cell Max's potential was no less than hers?
Cooler's shock went beyond even that.
"With the main body already this strong, if he merges with Cell Max as one..."
The thought made him slowly retreat into the middle of his black-gold mechanical bodies, preparing to use Big Gete Star's teleportation ability to withdraw his true body for the time being.
Boom!!!
A terrifying aura, far greater than anything from Levos and Broly's earlier battle, far larger, far deeper, far more despair-inducing, suddenly descended over the entire planet and even the entire star region!
The planet cried out. Space trembled!
The expressions on Cooler and Moro's faces froze instantly, replaced by unprecedented horror.
"H-how is this possible?"
Cooler's eyes widened. He suddenly realized that his connection to Big Gete Star had been severed. It was as if the entire battlefield had been sealed off by some invisible barrier!
"Has Fu returned already?"
This kind of space-locking ability was something they had only ever seen from Fu.
But Levos's next words shattered that guess at once.
"The best hunters often disguise themselves as prey."
The moment the words fell
Whoosh!
Cell Max threw a punch.
The two frontmost black-gold mechanical bodies crossed their arms to block, but they were still blasted apart through half their bodies by that absurdly overbearing force.
Then his tail whipped out and swallowed both the wreckage and their bodies.
All the black-gold Coolers instantly retreated, energy blasts pouring out wildly to open up distance.
Cell Max's figure flashed through the dense bombardment like a phantom.
Bang!
He appeared ghostlike behind one of the black-gold mechanical bodies and brought down a precise knife-hand onto the back of its neck.
Its body stiffened. Its entire frame locked up for an instant, and that alone was enough for it to share the same fate of being absorbed.
"Damn it! How is this possible? Why can't Big Gete Star's teleportation ability work at all?!"
Cooler's urge to retreat was overwhelming, yet the divine technique that had always worked without fail now refused to activate no matter what he did!
But Cooler was a veteran of countless battles. After that brief moment of panic, he quickly regained his calm.
"Moro! Join forces with me!"
Moro's face turned dark.
In front of that golden figure, even the angelic power he was so proud of had begun to tremble slightly.
"Join forces?" Moro's voice was hoarse. "Do you think we even have a chance?"
"If we don't join forces, we're meat on the chopping block." Cooler's judgment was cold and merciless. "If we do, we might still have one slim chance."
"Fine!"
Moro no longer hesitated. Under the threat of death, the two cosmic overlords reached a full agreement in an instant.
The next second, Moro spread both hands wide. Vast magical power fused with angelic power, transforming into a giant energy net that blotted out the sky as it descended upon Cell Max!
At the same time, Cooler and the remaining fifteen black-gold mechanical bodies attacked together.
"Die!"
More than a dozen Death Beams imbued with destructive law shot in from all directions, sealing off every possible route of escape!
Cell Max slowly raised his head, with no intention of dodging at all.
"Too weak."
His indifferent voice rang out as his figure transformed into a golden dragon and slammed head-on into their intertwined storm of energy.
Boom!
A terrifying storm swept through everything, carving across the already ruined surface of the planet.
Merged Zamasu, whose will had already been pushed to the brink, didn't even have the strength left to howl anymore.
"Today's Cell Max... has already reached this level?"
All his efforts had become meaningless in front of an opponent of this magnitude.
Worse still, the moment Cell Max appeared, he realized that every bit of outside space he had quietly begun to infect had been completely sealed shut again. He was once more trapped under another kind of imprisonment.
On the battlefield
A golden hand suddenly burst through the chest of one black-gold mechanical body.
Cell Max did not even glance at it. He casually flung the body away, smashing it into another of its kind. The tremendous impact shattered the second one into pieces.
Bang!
A single knife-hand slash cleanly severed the neck of another mechanical body.
Bang!
One whip-like kick split yet another black-gold mechanical body clean in half at the waist.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
There were no flashy techniques. No dazzling energy blasts.
Only pure, absolute violence.
Every strike came with the shriek of twisting, splitting metal.
The black-gold mechanical bodies' speed, strength, and computational ability, which they took such pride in, were utterly useless before Cell Max.
This was not a battle.
It was a massacre.
"Moro!"
Cooler barked coldly.
He had discovered that the other man had somehow already retreated to the very edge of the battlefield, with absolutely no intention of standing beside him and fighting to the end.
