Chapter 270 - Chapter 270: There’s No Way Back!

In the blink of an eye, the mist dispersed.

Where the palace had been, an enormous, bloated silhouette now loomed as if it filled the very heavens and earth. Four stubby arms patted a round, bulging belly in satisfaction. The newly formed, super-sized Ozotto wore an intoxicated look on his fat face.

"The Grand Priest and Zeno really do taste incredible!"

Then his gaze fell on Levos, and he licked his lips.

"I can't wait to have a taste of you too. Don't disappoint me, hahaha…"

As he spoke, the obese Ozotto's body shuddered, and two figures split off from him.

"Moro… Merus…"

A chill crawled up Levos's spine.

This thing could even devour an angel?!

At the same time, the Ozotto who had been facing him transformed into Beerus.

"I can sense the vast life energy in you, energy that comes from top-tier planets. Soon, it'll all be mine."

An elderly Moro with a huge, messy white goat beard wore a hungry, yearning expression.

"By the way, even though I haven't returned to my youth, I now possess limitless magic power!"

With that, violent purple flames ignited around him. He raised a hand, aiming at Levos from afar.

Instantly, wisps of life energy began gathering toward Moro's palm.

He hadn't even touched Levos, yet Levos could feel his stamina draining bit by bit.

"So even shields, the halo… none of it can fully block his technique…"

Levos couldn't imagine how helpless anyone would be without the halo's protection when facing Moro.

And the Moro in Levos's own timeline would definitely be far more terrifying than this one.

"'Infinite magic power'… no matter how you look at it, that's absurd." A trace of helplessness rose in Levos's chest.

As if reading his thoughts, Merus smiled faintly.

"Moro's abilities aren't limited to magic alone. The reason he's so difficult to deal with goes far beyond what most people can imagine."

Levos's eyes grew complicated as he looked at Merus.

The silver-haired man's manners were gentle and humble, nothing like a villain or an enemy.

But the next words made cold seep into Levos's bones.

"I've mostly figured you out. So let's be blunt. With your current level of power, there is no possibility you can stop us."

"I encountered [Light Power] long ago. It's not that I can't破解 it. It's just that there's no need."

"My true body is interested in your strength, and in what makes you unique. After devouring countless timelines, we've never met someone like you."

"So we're curious. We want to force out even more of your hidden potential. That way, you'll taste even better when we finally enjoy you…"

So that was why Ozotto hadn't chosen to devour him immediately.

Levos couldn't describe what he felt.

To them, he was nothing more than prey to toy with at will and that was exactly what he was.

Despair?

Of course there was despair.

Zeno and the Grand Priest along with the entire palace had been swallowed.

But what if he couldn't win?

This was a timeline sealed inside a History Scroll. It couldn't affect the outside world.

He still had a way out.

Running wasn't his style, but he wasn't stupid enough to throw his life away here.

Beerus narrowed his eyes.

"Crossing fists with a God of Destruction is the greatest honor of your life."

"How is that an honor?" Levos couldn't understand.

Beerus snorted.

"Show me everything you've got, brat!"

His figure vanished.

In the next second, a terrifying shockwave slammed into the gray phantom Levos had condensed.

Levos's right arm trembled. A massive fist collided head-on with Beerus's body.

Boom!

The surrounding space tore open instantly, ripping outward in every direction.

Then Levos followed with two heavy blows, smashing into Beerus's torso with bone-rattling force.

Beerus's pupils tightened. He retreated to his original position.

"You really are something. You're worth me using my full power."

A rune on his chest flashed with deep purple light. Beerus's aura began to surge wildly.

A sense of danger exploded in Levos's heart.

"Don't tell me…"

In the blink of an eye, Beerus's body was wrapped in a purple-black blaze. He grinned.

"This is my divine technique "

"Ultra Ego, brat!"

He curled a finger at Levos.

"Now, show me your true power!"

Levos drew a deep breath.

And now, he wasn't facing a full-power Beerus alone.

Moro and Merus were circling him as well.

Moro siphoned life energy from afar. Merus stood guard at his side, staff in hand.

Moments later, a storm of destruction tore through the starry void.

Four figures streaked through space at extreme speed. Every collision erupted into endless shockwaves.

Levos had long since thrown away his instinct to suppress his aura. He unleashed everything fully, openly.

This was the hardest battle of his life.

A special Saiyan bloodline.

The physical foundation of Dark Gogeta.

His potential ceiling forcibly raised by the Old Kai.

This body was at a peak he'd never known before.

Yet the three surrounding him were no weaker than he was and in terms of realm, they surpassed him by more than just a little.

What was even harder to accept was this:

This stalemate… was likely deliberate.

Sure enough

When Levos pretended to falter and dismissed the phantom behind him, they also stopped, calmly waiting for him to recover.

"They're trying to force me to break through…"

But breaking through mid-fight was never easy.

Besides, in the past three years, he'd mastered every transformation he could. He'd tested every method he could think of.

Beast stacked on Super Saiyan 4 might already be the end of the road.

He truly couldn't imagine a stronger form.

He'd treated this timeline like a training room.

He hadn't expected it to be a monster room and for him to become the prey inside it.

Levos's head throbbed.

"And of all times, it had to be this timeline. Could Chronoa be any more unreliable?"

The moment the complaint left his mind, a small figure suddenly appeared beside him.

"Chronoa?! Why are you in here?!" Levos blurted.

"The Grand Priest and Zeno being devoured is an extremely serious event. This timeline has already developed beyond anything I predicted."

"Ozotto will soon gain a way to escape the History Scroll. I have to step in and salvage this!"

Levos couldn't understand at all.

"Salvage what? And you're the Supreme Kai of Time erasing a timeline should be nothing to you. Why risk yourself coming in here?!"

Chronoa stared at him, surprised for a beat.

"So you actually… care about my safety."

Then she explained.

"Ever since the Time Scrolls were stolen, I've lost the means to erase timelines."

"Besides, my philosophy is to prevent branching timelines from being born not to destroy every timeline that already exists."

Managing so many branches… wouldn't that be exhausting?

Levos immediately pictured Time Patrol agents being worked to the bone.

Then something clicked. He shot Chronoa a suspicious look.

Maybe she didn't keep running to his timeline because she was bored.

Maybe she was short-staffed and had no choice but to do things herself.

No wonder she was always trying to trick him into joining the Time Patrol.

"Good thing I didn't step onto that pirate ship," Levos thought.

Even now, facing an enemy like this, he still had the leisure to think because he assumed Chronoa wouldn't appear unless she had some other way to deal with the problem.

"Fine, spare me the explanation. Hurry up and do it."

Chronoa blinked.

"Do what? What are you talking about?"

"Use your crazy powers and handle the guys over there!"

"What powers? How? Since when did I have that?" Chronoa's clear eyes settled on him.

Levos's heart sank. He tested carefully.

"Like… sealing Mechikabura?"

"It's not the same. Mechikabura was only one being."

"Ozotto has countless clones. And every seal requires exhaustive preparation."

"Even if you get lucky and seal his main body, you still can't stop the other clones from acting."

"They won't stop devouring. They'll keep ravaging other timelines…"

Levos still refused to give up.

"Then… can you rewind time? Go back five minutes, before Ozotto swallowed the whole palace?"

"…" Chronoa rolled her eyes at him.

"No. Zeno and the Grand Priest are extremely特殊. They won't be affected by methods like that."

So Chronoa had brought nothing but bad news.

Levos had no words left. In the end, he let out a heavy sigh.

"So… even the last escape route is gone."

In the end, the answer was still the same.

If they wanted to stop Ozotto… they had to win through battle.

"Don't worry. I'll do everything I can to help you!"

Levos didn't even take her encouragement seriously.

"No need," he said. "What you should do right now is leave this world immediately and keep yourself alive!"
