Chapter 58 - Chapter 58: Zamasu’s Zero Mortals Plan

"Humans... nothing more than a swarm of lowly ants..."

Zamasu's words were abruptly cut off.

Levos clutched his throat with one hand, hoisting him into the air without effort.

Without a pause, Levos turned sharply and rocketed toward Android 16's location on the battlefield.

But when he arrived, the enemy who had been fighting 16 was nowhere to be found.

"I'm sorry, Levos. He fled, and I failed to stop him," 16 said with quiet guilt.

"What did he look like?"

From their earlier distance, Levos had only caught a vague outline a small figure.

"He had a simple, almost innocent look. Big head, slim build. His skin was... pink," 16 reported swiftly.

Now that he knew the enemy's features, Levos asked in a cold voice, "Which way did he go?"

16 pointed, and Levos immediately shot off in that direction.

During his earlier clash with Zamasu, Levos had already noticed this version wasn't particularly powerful. He also didn't have immortality.

This was likely the Zamasu native to this timeline. He hadn't made his wish on the Super Dragon Balls yet.

While he certainly harbored hatred for mortals, he hadn't experienced the events of the main timeline that would push him to steal Goku's body.

Under normal circumstances, this Zamasu should have still been training as a Supreme Kai apprentice in Universe 10.

And yet here he was on Earth, in Universe 7.

Which meant only one thing.

Another Zamasu from an alternate timeline had used the Time Ring to cross into this reality, and had convinced this timeline's Zamasu to join him.

In other words, the one who escaped the small one was another Zamasu.

The Dark Zamasu.

And he was the real threat.

He had given up his godhood to steal the body of a powerful mortal in pursuit of his warped ideals.

He might have even used Super Dragon Balls across timelines to make successive wishes, enhancing his power to unthinkable levels.

Levos chased him down at full speed, thoughts racing. He knew one thing for sure.

If he let the Dark Zamasu escape now, tracking him later would become nearly impossible.

From what he'd sensed, this version was still relatively weak even weaker than the local Zamasu.

This was the perfect time to wipe him out.

Levos pushed his speed to the absolute limit.

With the boost from Kaio-ken, he streaked across the sky like a crimson comet.

The friction against the air caused the red aura around him to blaze hotter, becoming an inferno.

In his grasp, the original Zamasu's skin began to scorch under the heat, and he let out a pained groan.

But Levos couldn't care less. All that mattered now was stopping the Dark Zamasu.

Suddenly, the sky split open.

A jagged crack appeared in the fabric of space and time, pulsing with terrifying destructive energy.

A blinding violet-black light surged from within.

And in that moment, Levos spotted the small figure slipping into the rift.

"Damn it!"

He had used the Time Ring to escape.

Levos unleashed a barrage of energy blasts into the collapsing rift.

But it was like hurling stones into the ocean. Useless.

The rift sealed shut with no trace of the fugitive Zamasu left behind.

Levos clenched his teeth.

He had no way to travel through time.

The world might be facing something far more terrifying than it had ever imagined.

"Levos..."

He turned at the sound of a voice. Android 16 was flying toward him, holding Mai in his arms.

"She's critically injured. She needs healing."

Without a word, Levos brought them both to the Lookout.

Once Mai was entrusted to Dende's care, he returned alone to the ruins of the underground facility.

Amid the wreckage, something caught his eye.

A small hand still clutching a space capsule.

But the whole area was lifeless now. The ground was littered only with corpses.

Zamasu...

Levos's eyes burned with uncontainable rage. He gripped Zamasu's wrist tightly.

Crack!

With a sickening snap, Zamasu's shoulder was crushed. He let out a strangled scream of agony.

Though seriously injured and clearly no longer able to fight, Zamasu's life force remained unbelievably stubborn.

Levos lifted him off the ground and stared into his eyes, icy and unforgiving.

"Where did the other Zamasu come from? What's your plan?"

Zamasu's expression twisted with hatred and pain. He coughed up blood but sneered with scorn.

"Cough... Pathetic mortals... Your extinction draws near."

Levos frowned and drove his knee hard into Zamasu's gut.

Zamasu gasped, body convulsing, but still managed a grotesque smile feverish and unhinged.

"Telling you changes nothing. This world has already been marked."

"Soon, others like me will gather here. This timeline will be our base of operations."

"And when that time comes, not just this universe but all mortals across all timelines will be erased."

Levos's pupils contracted violently.

They had marked this world?

Zamasu's tone made it clear.

The one who fled wasn't the only one.

There were more Zamasus.

Zamasu chuckled darkly.

"Foolish mortals. So what if you beat me? Your future is drenched in darkness."

He looked at Levos with utter contempt.

"Even if I die, my comrades will return. I will be reborn. And your kind will be slaughtered."

"No one can stop our Zero Mortals Plan!"

His voice grew more frenzied with each word, bursting with madness and delusion, as if he already held dominion over the universe.

"How does it feel, huh? Scared yet? You pathetic mortals, hahahahaha!"

Levos's eyes narrowed.

"…You're right. I am a little afraid."

Even as a transmigrator, Levos had no answer for this catastrophe.

But he wasn't going to back down.

"You really think this universe is yours to toy with?"

Levos reached forward and plucked the green Potara earrings off Zamasu's ears.

"Potara earrings. A symbol of the Supreme Kai. So you've already been promoted."

"In that case, my path to god-slaying begins with you."

Deep in Zamasu's pupils, a flicker of fear emerged.

Levos's expression was calm as he formed a brilliant white energy sphere in his palm.

It expanded rapidly, radiating a terrifying destructive aura.

Just as he was about to strike the killing blow...

A hand suddenly grabbed his wrist.

And a teasing, playful voice echoed beside his ear.

"Oh my, oh my, Mr. Levos... You didn't even give me a chance to catch up."
