Chapter 89 - Chapter 89: I'll Break Your Legs

Chapter 89: I'll Break Your Legs

The crimson demon, dozens of meters tall, set foot on the snow-covered land, advancing step-by-step with a long whip and a giant axe.

"Louis... I will break your legs, take you back, and you will become my most perfect masterpiece!"

The cavernous mouth with its ferocious fangs opened wide, uttering words filled with rage and greed. The inhuman roar made Yelena, who was standing beside Louis, raise an eyebrow. She looked at Louis with a puzzled expression.

"Do you know him?"

At this moment, a strange expression also appeared on Louis's face. He looked quite speechless. "No, I don't."

"But based on his behavior, he must be a pervert. He should be locked in prison by a sheriff."

To this, Yelena's brow relaxed, and she said with great interest, "A sheriff doesn't have the authority to lock up a Celestial Dragon."

Louis heard this, raised a hand to his chin, and feigned a thoughtful pose. "That seems to be true. In that case, let's just kill him!"

BOOM—

Another loud roar was heard. As huge rocks were sent flying for thousands of meters, the giant, whose body was covered in branches and whose skin was like tree bark, also slowly stood up. It was the forest spirit fruit user who had been hammered into the ground by Yelena's smooth combo.

Yelena once again put on her special gas mask, which had a single spike. She whispered in a gender-neutral voice, "Only that demon has that burning black cloud... That form should be what you called an awakened Zoan Devil Fruit, right?"

"From the looks of it, the pervert you mentioned is a bit stronger."

"So? Are you confident you can take him out?" Yelena turned her head again to look at Louis's profile.

To this, Louis slowly took down his spear and drew the Seven Star Sword, giving a confident answer. "It's a 50/70 split."

"A 50/70 split?" Yelena was taken aback, then complained, annoyed, "What does a 50/70 split even mean?"

Louis's eyes pierced through the falling snow, staring at the behemoth that was beginning to run. A confident smile graced his lips. "I use fifty percent of my power," he chuckled, "and he gets his seven-day funeral."

"..."

Yelena was rendered speechless. The corner of her mouth, hidden beneath her special gas mask, twitched slightly.

Just then, a series of explosive footsteps sounded. The earth trembled, and碎石 (broken rocks) and ice shook violently.

The bat-winged, ferocious demon charged to a spot not far from the two of them. Its scaled demonic hand gripped the long whip.

"My name is Cabanha! And I am the one who will become your master!" With a terrifying roar, the demon violently swung its whip.

Several hundred meters away, Louis was taken aback. "Cabanha?"

The next second, Louis's face darkened, and the blood in his veins began to boil.

In an instant, the whip tore through the atmosphere. Under the intense friction, searing flames erupted. The whip of fire swept across the ice field, lashing straight toward Louis and Yelena.

To this, Yelena stood completely still, quietly watching the crystal whip, which was covered in sharp barbs and wrapped in flames.

Just then, a pale golden halo rose from the back of Louis's head. Searing flames ignited, coiling around his flawless white wings.

BOOM—

The flames shot out, propelling Louis. He instantly disappeared from Yelena's side, leaving only a scorching patch of molten red lava behind them.

Propelled by the flames, Louis crossed several hundred meters in an instant. The chaotic hurricane formed by his high-speed movement tore open the hard, frozen ground, kicking up a sky-blotting cloud of debris.

In an instant, his spear, wreathed in a blazing sun and Conqueror's Haki, appeared in the air. The brilliant sun and Haki lightning filled the demon's crimson eyes.

"So fast..." was the only thought that rose in the mind of the awakened Cabanha.

The next moment, the blazing sun emitted a dazzling light and, wrapped in Haki lightning, exploded violently. The firelight rapidly expanded, swallowing the massive demon whole. The high temperature spread, melting the ice and snow covering the earth from a distance, igniting the atmosphere, and dyeing the world red.

BOOM—

With one blow, the demon, wreathed in black smoke, was sent flying backward. His body was charred black, and his huge bat wings were tattered from the Haki-infused blow. A gash so deep that bone was visible was cut across his chest, but the scorching high temperature didn't seem to have its intended effect.

In the molten earth created by the sun's explosion, Louis raised a hand and caught the falling whip. He yanked it hard, pulling the flying Cabanha back by the neck.

"Damn you..." Cabanha gritted his teeth, raising a claw to grip the whip wrapped around his neck. As he neared the wing-flapping Louis, his other hand, holding the giant battle-axe, was coated in Armament Haki and swung straight at Louis's chest. He subconsciously avoided Louis's neck, as if still clinging to the absurd idea of capturing him alive.

Louis sensed this, scoffed, but had no intention of indulging him. He sidestepped, avoiding the sweep of the giant axe, which cut a visible rift in the air behind him. Then, he raised his leg, which was covered in leg armor and coated in Conqueror's Haki, and stomped heavily on Cabanha's chest.

BOOM—

A giant roar suddenly erupted. Black and red lightning exploded, consuming the entire battlefield.

SPLAT...

Cabanha's eyes rolled back again. Blood gushed from his mouth and from the huge, freshly-staunched gash on his chest, flying more than ten meters high. The giant battle-axe fell, embedding itself deep in the earth. The ground beneath them collapsed, slabs of earth shooting out, and a web of cracks spread for thousands of meters, almost reaching the distant town.

The powerful shockwave, carrying a fierce hurricane, lifted Louis's golden hair, making it sway in the wind. He spun his spear with one hand, creating a small tornado that swirled around the two of them. He then imbued the tornado with life, coiled it around his spear, and thrust it directly at Cabanha's head.

Louis had noticed just now that the power of fire and high temperature didn't seem to work on Cabanha. Therefore, he chose to use the power of the storm.

Just as Cabanha was about to be pierced by the spear, his whitened eyes returned to normal. His wounds stopped bleeding and began to heal slowly. The tenacity of an awakened Mythical Zoan's life force was on full display. He abruptly raised his two giant demonic hands and managed to clamp down on the spear that was thrusting at his head with the force of a storm.

For a moment, the situation seemed to be a stalemate, but only Cabanha knew just how astonishing Louis's strength was. Even though he was using all his might, he could only watch as the spear cut bloody gashes into his palms and continued to descend. Blood flowed down his hands and dripped into his cavernous mouth, dyeing half his face crimson.

But the next moment, he thought of a countermeasure. Hidden by his hands, a firelight began to brew in his bloody mouth.

Just then, a tin staff coated in Armament Haki suddenly appeared, sweeping straight toward Louis's head. At the same time, a sharp ice spear shot out from behind Louis, grazing past his wing and stabbing toward the forest spirit's chest.

A bone-white figure with antlers instantly appeared. The war hammer, wreathed in Armament Haki, was swung with a terrifying clap of thunder, once again smashing toward the enemy's head.

Cabanha saw this, and a hint of surprise flashed in his eyes. He seized the opportunity, and searing flames shot out from his mouth. His long, crimson, bone-spiked tail shot up and, coated in Armament Haki, whipped toward Louis's back.

To this, a red light flashed in Louis's eyes. He quickly turned, letting the searing flames graze past his golden hair and fly into the sky.

"Not just Conqueror's Coating, but his Observation Haki is also..." Cabanha's eyes were wide with disbelief.

Louis let go of his spear. With one hand, he used the Seven Star Sword to sever the long, sharp-boned tail. With the other, he grabbed the battle-axe that was stuck in the ground and chopped heavily at one of Cabanha's digitigrade goat hooves.

SPLAT...

The axe rose and fell, and a giant goat's hoof, accompanied by a spray of red blood, flew into the air.
