Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Nostalgia.

An immense purple darkness is illuminated by an ephemeral beam of lilac energy.

In it, two spheres envelope the silhouettes of two lovers who have not had the opportunity to become too intimate with the other.

Their dance in the inhospitable void, is a desperate attempt from both of them, wanting to shield their future partner without much success in achieving such deed.

The man manages to reach his woman, noticing she has already passed out from exhaustion.

Embracing her tightly to remain together, is all what the man is able to do, as he is falling unconscious too.

Locked for eternity, the couple unexpectedly enter in a primitive state of stasis, that for eons, had not been used by anyone of the Hûrngöth species.

Their journey continues for a seemingly indefinite period of time. Until a curvature lies ahead in the weird purple vacuum, leading the couple into a gravity pit that conducts them into the unknown.

However, if awake, their understanding would have been shattered, because the trip wasn't long at all, since a mere instant is what it took them to reach their oblivious and strange destination.

This demonstrates how horrible and merciless space time relativity can be with any unprepared life form.

Without stopping, the couple keeps flying through the void passage, unaware of the massive growth of momentum their bodies are amassing.

Like a meteor, they pass through the atmosphere of a gigantic planet. Said world is clearly overflowing with incredibles amounts of energy, emitted constantly from every particle available in the environment.

The lilac energy surrounding and protecting the couple, is weakened, losing part of its initial shade, turning blue before they crash violently against the ground.

A strange feeling of focused coldness is perceived by Marshack Reiker Bverxkka, the Absolute Apex of his species, and current Absolute Sovereign.

Or at least, that was his title, until those beneath him, couldn't tolerate for longer, the unreachable gap between their evolutions.

Unbeknown to Marshack's peers, there was no secret why he was so above them.

While he born with talent, he never stopped his progress, nor hinder his discoveries by the veil of traditions and taboos.

For Marshack, the answers were obvious, "If my body can do it, Why would i prevent my own development?".

This simple thought couldn't be grasped by most of the Hûrngöth, especially the weaker ones, who destroyed Húlfhednar, their homeworld.

Even his Bride struggle for a long period of time before she decided to put an end to the barriers that were blocking her own progress.

Another drop off coldness fell on Marshack's forehead, he tries to open his eyes at the foreign sensation, but he can't.

The reason is simple, the Hûrngöth's gene for adaptability has kicked in, altering Marshack's physiological functions.

One of which, is in charge of maintaining his size so he remains in optimal state, reducing his height from three and a half meters, to just one and three quarters meters.

Nevertheless, the shrunken state has a perfect explanation, augment the density of his body, providing additional stability as Marshack gets used to the strange release of energy that comes from absolutely everything around him.

With a new cold drop falling, the Apex hears the sound and brings his right hand to his forehead, catching the material with his palm.

{It feels like snow, but is releasing Cryo Plasma}

The Apex thought process is interrupted, as he has only slept two times in his life, and none of those two occasions, were pleasant experiences.

First, he was abandoned by a woman he fell in love, and with it, disregarding emotions as a burden, cutting off the sensations from his personality.

The second time was far worse, as a radical group launched a massive attack within Húlfhednar's surface, employing a form of Ultimatum, that got banned after the dire catastrophe.

The Ultimatum was Photonic Matter, and the power of said weapon was such, that only the Hûrngöth survive, rendering Húlfhednar, effectively sterile, eliminating any other life form.

After the hecatomb committed by those who were self drowning in their own inferiority complex, and due to the absurd number of lives lost, It was decided that was pointless to continue with the massacre, focusing their efforts in reconstructing their Civilization.

This display of piety, is what ended up condemning Húlfhednar and the Hûrngöth's that choose mercy over the eradication of the inferior caste.

As they ripped off Húlfhednar's core, and use it to make a breach in the fabric of REALITY, ultimately, destroying everything, and provoking prematurely, the natural course of the INFINITE CYCLE.

Opening his eyes, and performing an exasperated sigh for first time in decades, the Apex of the Hûrngöth notices he perceives emotions and sensations, which hadn't been part of him since he was a kid.

A kid who got his heart broken by a sensual and mature alien female who infiltrate the Hûrngöth and leave with part of their knowledge.

After the event, and not having anyone to talk about the subject, Marshack retort to severe his emotions, at that moment, it seemed like a sane, and viable option.

Yet, with that decision, he partially lost an important part of growing, never feeling sensations like indecision or nervousness, which are an intrinsic part of any teenager's journey during their emotional development.

{What is this?!}

Marshack's surprise could not be less, since he is lying on a reddish grassland plagued by white snow with touches of extremely light blue due to the Cryo Plasma that is released by every flake.

Standing up, the Apex first observes his inmediations, not seeing his Bride, nor tracks of her awakening and departing before him.

Confusion is present on Marshack's thoughts, but he can't help to be marveled at the beautiful landscape, as he barely recalls the last time he observed real vegetation, or a cloudy sky, as Húlfhednar, before being destroyed, lost its atmosphere, and the Hûrngöth had to resort to an ugly forcefield to protect the planet from the sun's radiation…
