Maiven quickly grabbed Elwyn's arm as he was about to move forward and said in a low voice, "Hey hey hey, interfering in a fight is not allowed."
Her eyes stayed on him, trying to calm him down. But Elwyn did not stop, his body tense and his face serious in a way that made the other maids glance at each other in confusion and concern.
"No," he said firmly, his voice heavy with worry, "we need to stop this."
Maiven blinked, "Huh? What do you mean?"
Elwyn turned to her with furrowed brows and said, "Kade is not himself. That is not the way Kade fights. I have watched him countless times. I know his rhythm. I know his strength. I know when he holds back, and I know when he is serious. But this… this is not him."
Maiven frowned at his words. Her eyes went back to the duel and for a moment, she felt the same unease.
Something was off. Elwyn continued, not looking away, "I do not know what is happening to Kade, but we need to make this stop before something worse happens."
