Dorian's eyes shifted from the screen to the layout displayed above the feed, a blueprint of the city. It showed the different zones, streets, walls, marked spots, and one mark on the west side, which was the facility.
The beasts were coming from the south, but their path curved slightly, suddenly changing course. They weren't heading for the city anymore—they were turning toward the facility itself.
No one noticed it yet, or noticed his presence. He couldn't blame them, since they were preoccupied with the approach and what to do to stop that, but he kept watching the blueprint, hoping the beasts' path would change.
It didn't.
Then one of the staff spoke loudly, "Chief, they've charged through the first barrier."
Aurora's jaw clenched, she raised a hand and pointed at the screen near her. "Give me an accurate time range."
"Three days, Chief!"
Dorian's eyesnarrowed, 'How far could the beasts be?' he thought, not taking his eyes off the blueprint. 'Or are they slow?'
