The Crowd fell into a hushed silence as the blood dripped from Cain's hand. The warmth of Abel's heart was a comfort to Cain. His revenge was almost over. However, Cain was not satisfied with what he had done to Abel.
He opened his mouth and took a deep breath. What nobody noticed was faint blue wisps coalescing towards Cain's mouth. By the time Cain's lungs were full of oxygen, a small blue marble had formed in Cain's mouth. It was what remained of Abel's soul. It was his essence and the root of his innate skill.
Cain frowned as he bit down on the marble. He could tell that there were impurities in the marble, almost as if there were foreign contaminants were mixed in. Even still, he chose to swallow it where the fragments of the marble dissolved and disappeared forever.
Abel had been erased from the world and his soul would never return. He would never have a second chance, no resurrection. He had been removed from the cycle of reincarnation. Forever.
