The night sky stretched endlessly above, a blanket of stars shimmering like scattered jewels. Ren's gaze was fixed, lost in the constellations, a small smile curling at the corners of his lips. For a moment, the chaotic world around him faded — there was only the serene quiet and the glittering stars.
"YO!Earth to Ren!"
The sharp, teasing voice of Kael snapped him back, and before he could process, a strong shove sent him stumbling forward.
"Kael!" Ren stumbled, arms flailing comically, only to find himself colliding gently with…
Ayame.
Her violet eyes widened in shock at the sudden intrusion. "Matsugo! It would be preferable if youwatch where you're going!" Her tone was sharp, but there was a trace of restrained exasperation.
Ren straightened, cheeks burning red, mumbling an apology. "S-sorry… I was… uh… admiring the stars!"
Ayame crossed her arms, sighing. "Hmph. This is why I can't let you wander off on your own."
Kael grinned lazily behind him. "You were miles away, man. Thought I'd give you a little… push back to reality."
Ayame's expression softened slightly, though the sharp edge remained. "And don't forget — today is the first day of winter break. We're supposed to hang out together, all of us. Don't startwandering off again."
Ren nodded, still flustered, while Kael leaned back, smirking at the exchange. "Don't worry, Ren. We'll keep you on track. Can't have you floating off into the stars forever."
From the side, a flurry of laughter and chatter approached. Rika's bold, teasing voice cut through the night air: "What's all this? Ren getting caught star-gazing again? Pathetic!" She flipped her hair dramatically, eyes sparkling with mischief.
Misaki's shadow loomed behind Rika, her sharp gaze assessing Ren with quiet intensity. "Hmph. Focus, Ren. Don't get distracted. Or… you might get yourself into trouble." A faint smirk betrayed her hidden amusement.
Nagi shyly tiptoed into view, holding her hands clasped to her chest. "Um… hi, everyone! Don't leave me behind…" Her small voice carried innocence, but Ren caught the mischievous glint in her eyes as she quickly whispered, "…and I noticed everything you said, Ren-kun."
Finally, Itsuki ambled up, looking slightly lost as usual. "Ah, the night sky… such a paradox. Infinite, yet somehow… grounded? Anyway, greetings all!" He waved awkwardly, then muttered under his breath, "And yes, Ren-kun, your face is definitely red. Kawaii!." (everyone with the "dude, you'regay or something" look.)
Ren groaned, burying his face in his hands as Kael laughed. "See? You're already doomed. First day of break, and the chaos has begun."
Ayame pinched the bridge of her nose. "Fine… but let's just go. If we're all together, maybe this winter break won't be a disaster… yet."
And with that, the group began walking, a chaotic blend of personalities under the winter night sky — laughter, teasing, awkward remarks, and the promise of unpredictable adventures waiting just around the corner.
