Chapter 16 - The white room...

The girl betrayed them.

Why? Nobody knows.....

Or maybe they do,

Too clearly...,

Too clearly at this small age, that it is scary.

And her—Stella??...

She was afraid—everyone knew it.

Did she choose survival?

Yes..she did.

Can we blame her?

Ya... Ya, we can.

Why?

Because it wasn't a mistake. It was a choice.

We can't really forget that.

Can't really forgive her for making it.

Can we?

It depends on us.

She decided her survival was worth more than those children's lives.

Which—sure—anyone in her place might have done.

Or maybe not.

We can talk all we want, judge however.. it's not wrong. Why??.. because we can...but when we are in similar situation, everyone end up making different choices.

To survive she chose others pain.

She stood there, behind the men with ledger and his guards, frozen.

Every child looked at her with nothing in their eyes—hollow eyes.

They didn't blame her.

They didn't choose to.

They just… didn't want to.

---

This place wasn't a fairy tale.

This world never was.

Not everyone would be kind enough to let them live just because they wanted to.

If you get a chance—you take it.

Because if you don't, you won't survive.

This world doesn't let weak links live.

They all knew it.

Very, very clearly.

Too clearly, that it was almost unreal.

---

"So… you all were thinking of escaping, huh?"

The man with the ledger sat, speaking lazily, his voice almost sweet.

"I heard from my little alley rat how you tried all kinds of tricks. Some of you put metal in your chains, trying to cut them.

Some of you studied our routines, waiting for a slip. Some of you even tried to make noise… must have been very fun..hmmmm???...."

He hummed.

His face was smiling—but they knew what was under it.

They hated that face.

The same one they'd once believed.

The one that brought them here.

Now they understood.

But, too late now.

---

"Drag them all," he said to the two men beside him.

The big ones. The guards. The men in black.

The ones whose hands looked like they were made for dragging bodies.

They said nothing, just moved.

Grabbing. Pulling.

The children resisted—they knew what was coming.

Or maybe they didn't.

We can't be sure if anything but one thing was certain.....there mind was a mess and it's only going to get worse now...

And we can do nothing to help them. The kids begging to live.

---

"Well, you see," the man went on, "I was going to do it sooner. You just gave me a nice excuse, a nice little excuse for the higher-ups—you know, those stinking nobles who think everything should be done their way. I hate it."

His gaze slid to the boy.

The strange boy.

Blond hair—still gold even under all that dirt.

Still shining.

"Oh my… how sad," the man said in that same sweet tone.

"I guess I shouldn't have said that out loud."

Then his smile twitched. He looked towards his guards.

"What the hell are you doing?"

His voice cracked sharp towards the guards who were just standing there, instead of taking children away.

"Why are you just standing there, doing nothing, huh?"

Guards bowed and dragged the wailing kids towards a secret basement.

---

They were taken.

They thought—

the place they were in before was the basement.

The lowest level.

But—ohh—guess what?

They were wrong.

There was one more room.

Underneath.

Maybe the last trial.

Or their death.

---

The men in black threw them in.

The room—white.

Everything white.

Too white.

White that hurt to look at.

The opposite of the dark room they'd been in before.

No furniture.

Nothing.

Just white walls staring back at you like an abyss.

An abyss that smiled.

---

The men in black stayed in the corners—

out of place in their long black coats.

The only shadows in all that white.

Then—behind them—

came the man in the white suit.

Like he belonged here.

Slow steps.

Deliberate steps.

Like he was the king of this place.

The owner.

The one who pulled all the strings.

But maybe not the only one.

Like he said—

those "higher ups."

The real masters.

Maybe he was just another puppet. Like those men in black.

But the main one.

The one who could kill with a snap of his fingers.

---

The bodyguards moved before anyone noticed.

Bringing a white chair.

For him.

That black-haired man in the white coat.

He sat like a judge.

No medals.

No marks of honor.

Nothing in the room but him.

The children's fear was sharp.

They knew something horrible was coming—

they just didn't know what.

---

Then—like it was a game—

he signaled to his men.

They brought tools.

Not for fixing.

Not for building.

For breaking.

---

"Hit them," he said.

His tone cold now.

No fake sweetness left.

The mask was gone.

He didn't need it anymore.

---

One of the bodyguards stepped forward.

"Scream, whimper—

and you die."

That was the rule.

The only rule.

Before—

all they had to do was survive.

Now—

they had to survive without letting anything out.

No screams.

No flinching.

It was harder.

Before they could cry.

Now—they had to bleed in silence.

---

It started.

One child.

Then the next.

The first five—done right in front of the others.

One boy's head was cut clean off.

Right there.

The sound—sharp and wet.

Other kids screamed, even the ones not touched yet.

That was it.

They were finished in one sweep.

All but a handful left.

---

Elen.

Leya.

The blond boy.

The girl who betrayed them.

Two more.

The two were taken first.

They passed the "no reaction" test.

Everyone thought they were safe.

They thought so....

---

The white coat man didn't even blink.

He motioned to his men.

A needle.

A clear liquid.

Injected.

Their bodies twisted—

bones shifting, skin bulging.

Every vein in their mind popped out, they screamed too loud..too painful...

Eyes bulging out.

Minds snapping in half.

Their mouth started bleeding

They rolled on the ground, eyes rolled too but backward.

They all just watch the men with no emotion and kids with their hands on mouth to not squeak even a bit....They are next was the only thing in their mind, not how to save them. No...

And then—

BOOMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THEIR MIND EXPLODED AND BLOOD SPLATTERED...

Spllater spllater ...
