Chapter 12 - Who's That Pokémon- Robot?

"Close, but not close enough. She is actually Jocasta, the creation/ex-bride of Ultron, but without all the murder nonsense. It's funny, really—just some memories of her future self, and boom, good robot."

Even though Moira joked, it's almost like she wasn't actually joking; her tone was flat and uncaring. To that, Fred merely shrugged it off as he asked, "Anyway, question, Moira: does this place have any bugs in it, or well will anyone know what happens here?"

To Frederick's question, Moira quickly responded with a "No." As she sat down at a desk chair not too far from the entrance, she spoke further: "Though I don't think you should speak any further on anything of cosmic significance. After all, level one only blocks technology, empaths, telepaths, and some magic—not fully, though."

At that, Frederick chose to switch the question. "So, when did you get the free time to set this place up?" Which was the most casual thing he could ask because nearly everything in his mind had cosmic significance somehow.

Moira shot down that question. "Not that either. Anyone with access to search-engine-like powers can know what someone said about a certain area by looking for keywords, then turning back time to somehow screw this thing over."

"Ohh... I see. Sorry for asking; I'm still kinda new to stuff like this." At that, Moira glanced back at him before looking back at her screen, not stopping her typing once as she said, "Most people are. It hasn't really been in the modern public eye for long.

And every time it has been, a war or something less worse happens that causes people to look away from stuff like this and turn their attention to it, or not think about it too much, instead using people with abilities surpassing the norms.

To help in said war or conflict, it's an endless cycle, really. You should have seen it from your peak into everything, Frederick. It just will never change, but hey, this time it just might..." Trailing off at the end, Moira locked her eyes with the computer screen she was looking at, and shortly thereafter, we started descending down.

Making me exclaim, "Alright, underground room under here—yeah, normal. But why are we descending down and not like a floor or something, and why does it feel like I'm still standing?" Moira, still in her sitting position, just smirked as she said.

"Simple. In the future, Reed shares some permanent pocket dimension technology without making the universe all fall apart and sending a cosmic god to kill us and destroy it. And before you ask, it's inside the computer, and also we are in the same position because our minds, bodies, and souls are being transferred to it in the same position.

Or else we might become something else or lose a part of ourselves that some demon or villain will use to fuck us over. But, well, I guess just the body and mind of Jocasta since she's just code."

Frederick couldn't even dispute what she was saying because he vaguely remembered several plotlines where that indeed does happen in some way, shape, or form. I mean, a popular example would be that one Doom storyline.

'Wait, wasn't she just racist to a robot? Does she still have some hate from that future she experienced?' Thinking this, Frederick couldn't help himself but ask, "Your speech about Jocasta sounded kinda, I don't know, racist. And if so, is it because of—"

"First, no, I wasn't. You can't be racist to something that doesn't have a soul. And yes, I'm aware of those with souls, and yes, I am still angry at the many, many, many, many futures where they kill all humanity and mutants and/or enslave humans when they don't know, or they do and still kill all mutants."

After saying that, silence was the only thing left in the room, other than the fans of Jocasta's cooling systems, since she was in the shell that Ultron first activated in—'I think it was Avengers #54, and it was published in 1968.'

Wait, didn't a bunch of people, or well, robots, try putting their consciousness inside her programming or mind...? Yeah, they did. So that means I should inform Moira about it, so I can just double-check she knew of this and purged those programs from her head.

Confirming these thoughts, Frederick looked over to Moira and asked, "So what are we going to do with Nimrod's subordinate, Karima Shapandar, after our plans are finished?" Moira, previously relaxed, stiffened her face as she fell into brief thought shortly before saying.

"Everything will eventually come to pass after obtaining the Infinity Gems and striking a deal with 'Her.' Though as to how you even figured out how to contact a being such as them without dying or going insane is still the most unbelievable thing I've experienced."

I merely shrugged at that shortly before looking at Jocasta as I said, "So why did you choose to help us other than obtaining your own memories of what you could become?" Jocasta's teeth light things then started flashing for an expanded period of time, then after she responded.

"While it is true Moira providing me a set of my future memories is why I'm helping, the ultimate reason is to become human and face grandfather." I raised an eyebrow at that as I dug through my memory for a short period of time, then as if a lightbulb went off in my head, I thought.

'Hank Pym, aye, it's been a while since I thought of that genius. Though not completely; I did go on a nerd binge shortly before coming here because of the new Ultron storyline for the first time in a while.

Usually, the guy gets kinda boring halfway through, making it hard to read his stories. But the newest one I loved because, for once, he changed in a direction that Hank simply wouldn't, as Hank Pym is who he tries to always imitate well because he's his father.

And wants acknowledgment from him in the end and to be treated like his child, which Hank actually did, which was nice. Ever since Ant-Man, or well, the original movie, they have been slowly improving him as a character.

Though his flaws are still there, of course. They simply won't go away so quickly, since in a lot of stories, they still need to either use him or Tony as a cop-out, though it has been off and on whether they will stay committed to that.'

( A/N Yeah being sick sucks is it just me or the moment you think oh yeah this will just go away after like 2 days it doesn't and it makes you feel like shit and look like it too? Fun Fact | Fun fact I guess Infinity is the big dog of time space in marvel mainly space

Eternity is mainly in charge of time though in earlier comics it kind of flip flops between those two so there's a fanfic idea I guess r-18 or not you can use them as an excuse to give your main character time abilities without needing to piss all over cannon.

Another fun fact that I would like fanfic writers to be aware of when it comes to marvel you can't just merge the dc and marvel universe into one omega verse it quite literally breaks all cannons doesn't need to be done and the verses exist within each other.

You can instead use canon alternates like Earth-9602 or Earth 1996 heck you can even say it's a branching timeline of one of the two and not have to make up some bullshit that wouldn't make sense even to you on a second read. )

( Inkstone deleted some of my words again sorry. )
