The empress instantly activates her ability granting her super speed,she crossed the entire village in few seconds, she saw the shadow of a figure she believed to be the demon.
"Hey you!,wait a minute!"
The demon kept on walking, but the empress used her powers to restrain him.
"I said you should wait."
"Sorry, i had no idea you were talking to me."
The empress was shocked, the man in her front was smiling.
"Why are you smiling?"
"What!"
"I heard you just lost your son, you lost your best friend and you lost everything."
"Oh that, what about it, are you part of them?"
"What?"
"I am already leaving your village, so you don't have to worry about it."
"What!, no i am talking about you leaving, in fact i do not care about you leaving or staying, all i just want is to know you."
The demon was surprised.
"What?"
"I said i want to know you."
"Why?"
"You seem like something fun."
She released him from the force she was holding him with, and the demon stood up.
"Thank you."
"Now tell me, what are you?"
"Why ask pointless question when you already know the answer?"
"Won't it be better for us to do proper introduction, than continue with random information."
"I see, but why do you want to know me?, i will soon be leaving your village."
"I want to know you better, you seem like something that will be more fun and interesting in the future, and like i said earlier, i do not care if you stay in these village,in fact i might just adopt you into my dynasty."
The demon was shocked,but then he gave a cold smile, and he closed his eyes back, he opened his palm and a mask appears, he wears the mask.
"Is that some type of trick?"
The empress instantly heard his thought.
"Why do you want to know me?, are you planning to destroy me, wait these might be the perfect chance for me to experience death, if i annoy her enough,she might use her secret technique."
The empress was shocked.
Did i just hear his thought?,why?,his these one of his tricks?, how did he know of my secret technique?, or is he just bluffing?
"I am Shenra Von Desu,i am the empress of the entire kingdom."
The demon remained silent, but the empress could hear his thought.
"I know who you are, but i do not care anymore, the system that controls these world is unfair, i would have love to change it, but i do not like to stress myself."
What is these strange phenomenon, i can hear his thought, but i can't see his face, the mask is not only covering his face, but it looks like it has completely shut everything else about me, i can't perceive anything about him, what's he, i doubt even my secret technique would deal any lasting damage to him.
"Well i see you don't want to talk, but now i am now more interested in you than before, forget about these life you live now and start a new one with me."
"Why, why should i follow you, you seem like the type of person that leads people on and destroy them."
Oh, is that how he perceives me, that's painful, but i can understand his reasoning.
"Well, i will help you erase the path you have lived so far,and you and i will start a new one together."
"Well if she wants to play with me, i will just have to follow up on her game,and if she does it again like the rest, i will know i saw these coming, but still decided to go ahead."
Is that faith i sense, he trusts me, he his ready to place his trust in me.
"Here we go, i will erase your past now, {Fatereinosuper}."
With a blinding light, the whole village was restored.
The demon removed his mask.
"What did you just do?"
Fatereinosuper does not work on him, these is starting to become even more interesting.
"I reversed the effect of you ever existing in these village,so every damage that might have happened due to you existing in these village,has been reversed."
"Wow that sounds powerful."
"Yes, and it works on all except me."
"So..."
"Yes, i still retain the memory of every event i have reversed."
"What about the drawback?"
"I won't be able to use these ability for another twelve weeks."
"Wow."
"What?"
"You would use such a broken ability on me, a stranger you just met."
"To me you are no longer a stranger, we are now one."
The demon smiled.
"So are we moving to your castle now?"
"Yes, but you haven't told me your name yet."
"My name is Ren, and i am an ancient being,that people already termed a demon."
"Well from now on, you will live in the royal castle with me, all your wishes would be meet with."
"How long?"
"what?"
"How long are you going to keep these act for?"
"You think i am acting, do not worry we will be together forever."
The demon smiled.
"I hope you can fulfill these promises of yours."
I see even though he trusts me, his mind his not fully yet with me, i will have to break that wall.
"Yeah."
Unknown to Shenra, although her ability was powerful, Shenra never realized her powers never healed Ren.
Two weeks Ren told Shenra his name and he was already working with Shenra in the castle, he works alone due to his power, Shenra made a law that forbids anyone from working together with him.
Shenra was walking around the garden, she meets with Ren.
"Oh, hi Ren."
"Good day lady Shenra."
"Lady Shenra,why are you still behaving formal after all we have been through together."
"You are still my mistress, i can't be rude."
"But i told you to ignore honorifics when you are with me privately."
"That i can't do for now."
"Well i have somewhere i want the both of us to visit these evening."
"Not to sound rude my lady, but if you wish to have any man in the entire kingdom you can go for him, so why me?"
Cause i want to break the cold ice in your heart,like i could say that out.
"Just to announce to the entire kingdom that you belong to me."
"And why is that necessary?,did you do that to every of your companion?"
"No, but you are special, and special people must be treated specially."
"I guess you say that to everyone."
"No.you are the first person i am telling something like these."
"Sure."
That does not sound completely reassuring,but anyway i got him.
"I will send the maids to bring you some clothes to wear."
"Yes ma'am."
Shenra walked past Ren, she smiled, meanwhile Ren created another mask.
"A suppression mask, a mask that conceals everything,even someone with an appraisal skill can't see what these mask conceal, it hides the strength and abilities of his host, it gives it's wearer the ability to change appearance,a mask forged from my blood, one of my most priced creation."
He wore the mask.
By evening Shenra already sent the maid to deliver some clothes to Ren.
"Good evening Ren, lady Shenra asked me to deliver these to you."
"Thank you."
He said collecting the clothes from the maid, and she left.
Now now, lady Shenra, you are definitely going all out.
He wore the clothes and almost immediately a knock came in sharply.
"Who is there?"
"Ren, are you done?, open up."
He walked towards the door and opened his door.
"Good to see you again Ren."
"Sure, the pleasure is mine."
Shenra enters his room.
"Are you ready?"
"Yes."
"Then let's go."
"I will be following the other guards."
"Why?"
"Am i not following you as a guard?"
"Did i ever mention you going as my guard?"
"No, but i thought i was going as your guard."
"Well buddy, you guessed wrong."
"Really is that how all rich ladies behave?"
"What's that?"
"Nothing."
"Good boy."
Ren clicked his tongue.
"Get into the carriage."
"No worry i will just follow you."
"No we are using same carriage and do not argue."
Ren flew on top of the carriage and sat down on the carriage.
"Who are you posing for?"
"Shut up and enter, at least we are on the same carriage."
The guards were all shocked,waiting for Shenra to snap, but she only smiled.
"Is that where i still stay in your heart, these is turning to be such a hassle."
Ren didn't reply,and she enters the carriage.
They left almost immediately, while Ren was sitting on the carriage,he was forming tiny lance of light,he used it to snipe against insect and various tiny monster around the carriages.
Inside the carriage, Shenra was constantly using her powers to spy on Ren.
"So he would rather prey on insects than seat inside the carriage with me, how childish."
Ren continued killing monsters and insects, suddenly he vanished.
"Stop the carriage!"
The driver flinched as he stopped the carriage almost immediately.
"Lady Shenra, what's going on?"
"Ren just vanished."
"What?"
They looked up,but didn't see him.
"What happened?"
"Where is he?"
The guards begins to mumble word among themselves.
"Quiet."
They all froze in fear, and Shenra released her energy.
"His energy signature just vanished,like he was never here, did he use some kind of illusion, or did he fall into a trap."
"Lady Shenra look at these!"
Shenra run toward where the sound was coming from.
"What's these?"
A giant snake was fighting someone.
"That won't be Ren,right?"
Suddenly the snake fired an energy blast towards the guards and Shenra, but Ren instantly sliced the blast into two resulting a large explosion.
"Go away!,now!" Ren yelled at all of them.
They flinched.
"Do as he say, right now!"
"Yes ma'am."
The guards all ran away.
"Ren what's going on?"
"Duck now lady Shenra!"
The snake shot a massive ball of energy, she managed to dodge it, but the crater it left behind her was massive.
"The snake seems to be sensing energy around it, that's why it's able to attack almost too perfect."
"I see."
She dulled her energy, as she erased her energy completely.
"Stay at alert, the snake can also sense your movement and it's kind of can predict the future, it has been able to counter and deflect all my attack so far."
"So what do we do?"
"Stay back, i can handle it."
"Do you take me for an extra?"
"No,but these might be the best counter to all your abilities."
Ren said, creating two energy swords, he jumped up slashing the snake, but it regenerated almost immediately, and with a swing from it's tail,it's attacked Shenra's direction, but Ren appeared almost right in her front, as the tail, pierced through his shoulder.
"Ren!"
"I am okay."
Shenra was almost crying.
"No you are not, you have an hole on your shoulder."
"Just go, i can't protect you and fight that monster together."
"No i can't leave you, you are bleeding."
"I will be just fine, just go."
"No.."
Ren instantly knocked her out cold.
"Sorry, but i have to do these."
He carried her body,resting it on a tree.
"Now then."
Ren instantly blitzed the snake, as he kept attacking the snake from every direction.
The snake hissed as it spits out venom from it's fangs,Ren barely dodged it
"You are more troublesome than i thought."
The snake threw it's tail towards Ren's direction, but he jumped over it and stomped it with an energy based hammer,smashing the tail,but it regenerates.
"Is there any way to put you down finally?"
The snake instantly vanished, catching ren off guard.
"Now you can go invisible, how many tricks do you have in your bag?"
He closed his eyes sensing the movement,but he couldn't track the movement,as an attack slashed his face,a cut appears under his eyes.
"Woah!, chill out, you almost took my eyes from me."
Truth be told,i am reaching my limit here, i do not know how deep or complex it's abilities are,i will have to finish it off,before it kills me.
"Sword art:Thousand step slasher!"
Ren created multiple projections of swords, and he fires it off consecutively,destroying the whole forest.
"That should have done a little damage to it right?"
The snake was protected by a barrier.
"Barrier!"
The snake eyes glows red,instantly paralyzing Ren.
"What?,i can't move."
The snake morphed into an half human half snake.
"Human, you are quite interesting."
It can talk and it can transform.
"Yes, i can do almost anything."
She is reading my mind.
"Yes, i can read your mind."
"So why are you doing these?"
"To test you."
"What?"
"Anyone going into the land of spirits and fairies, must go through me,the guardian."
"What?, don't tell me?"
"Yes,these was all a plan by the empress, lady Sylvia Von Desu."
"Why would she?"
"She was testing you?, she is trying to gauge your strength."
Ren face went dark.
So all these was according to her plan?, she was testing me?,why?
"Are you angry?" a voice said behind him.
Ren and the guardian looked back.
"Oh, greetings lady Shenra."
"Hello Lamy."
"Was it fun?"
The two looked at Ren.
"What?"
"Was it fun, watching me struggle against your plan?"
"No Ren,it's not like that."
Lamy released the paralysis effect.
"Ren.."
Ren raised his hand signaling her to stop.
"You have done enough, i will be going now."
