Jarvis and Octavia stared at the room before them, filled with unfamiliar interiors. Jarvis sat in the pilot's seat and tried to start the engine, following the instructions Monica had given him. Meanwhile, Octavia stood beside him, curiously looking at the buttons in front of her.
Even for a mage like me, I don't understand this at all. Lord Felix and Lady Monica are amazing, Octavia praised in her heart.
When the engine started, a light screen immediately appeared. On it, the view outside the spaceship was displayed. Jarvis saw Lord Arthur and the other Floor Guardians waiting outside for confirmation.
"Everything is normal, Lord Arthur," Jarvis reported through the microphone on the pilot's console.
Rian sighed in relief hearing this. He touched his index finger to his ear and used the Message spell. According to Monica, this spaceship could only receive sound from the outside, not the other way around.
"In that case, after you've completed your checks, you may take off. When you're about to leave the range of Merlin's illusion magic, you must have Stealth Mode activated," he requested in a serious tone.
"Understood, My Lord," Jarvis responded obediently.
"Jarvis, the World Conquest Plan is in your hands. Do not let them discover your existence. Your mission is not to wage war, but to obtain that world's coordinates." Another voice sounded in Jarvis's mind.
"Understood, Secretary-General. I will not disappoint the hopes of Avanheim and Lord Arthur," Jarvis replied calmly.
"I hope not." Emma immediately cut off the communication.
"Is it okay to send just the two of them?" Lily, who was watching the object called a 'spaceship' slowly ascend, asked Emma beside her, her voice full of worry.
"Don't worry, little Lily." Emma gently stroked Lily's hair, her face softening when she spoke to her. "Since Lord Arthur has chosen them, their abilities have met his criteria."
Rian looked at Lily with a soft, faint smile on his lips in response.
Jarvis slowly pulled the control lever and began to increase the spaceship's altitude gradually. Rian looked on in admiration at the anti-gravity technology used in the spaceship before him. He sighed. Those two are true geniuses.
The Floor Guardians directed their gazes to the spaceship that continued to rise. Rian even unconsciously saluted the ship, which was then followed by Emma and the others.
"They're gone, huh," Lily murmured, watching the ship carrying Jarvis and Octavia begin to disappear at an altitude of 200 meters after passing through Merlin's illusionary magic barrier.
"Yes, they're gone," Monica replied flatly.
"I can't wait to visit that world and fight with the strong creatures there!" said Natasha, who was standing not far from them. Her face was excited, her silver-armored hands clenched tightly.
Natasha saw everyone staring at her. "What?" she asked, a little scared.
"Didn't I explain that we will not seek conflict before we have complete information about that world?" Emma's eyes shone with a dangerous light. "I believe I was quite clear when I explained it."
Seeing this, the other Floor Guardians consciously began to move away from Natasha. Natasha's face was slick with cold sweat. Damn it, why did I say that in front of the Secretary-General?!
Seeing Natasha's reaction, Rian let out a small laugh. He covered his mouth with his hand.
"My Lord?" Emma, who heard the laugh, was confused.
Rian stopped his laughter, then looked at Emma and Natasha. "Today is the happiest day for Avanheim because we have successfully launched this ship. So, I think what Natasha said is fine."
Hearing Rian's words, the Floor Guardians nodded. Emma just felt that Lord Arthur was spoiling Natasha too much. She gave Natasha a dead-fish stare.
Seeing that, Natasha's heart sank. I'm dead. I'm definitely dead. She walked quickly away from Emma and went to the crowd of Floor Guardians. She sat down, panting, as if she had just experienced the most terrifying thing in her life.
"I'm truly impressed with you, Natasha. Saying that to Emma's face." Merlin extended his hand to Natasha with a gentle smile.
Natasha took his hand, then began to stand.
"I don't think that's something to be admired," Belial said in a firm tone.
"That's enough," Velusia, who had been quiet until now, decided to intervene. "Didn't Lord Arthur say this is the happiest day for Avanheim? Why are you all arguing?"
"You're right. I'm sorry," Belial bowed in apology.
"Umm, hey… what if we have a little feast here?" Lily exclaimed loudly, her cute face looking excited.
Hearing the suggestion, the Floor Guardians looked at Lily. She got a little scared. "Is… is that not okay?" she asked softly, fidgeting with her fingers.
Rian smiled gently. "No. In fact, that's a great idea. In that case, let's follow Lily's suggestion and have a feast here." He turned to Emma. "Emma, can I leave this to you?"
Emma replied with a happy smile on her face. She placed her arm on her chest and said loudly, "You can trust me, My Lord."
"In that case, I'm counting on you. Oh, and don't forget to call all the members of The Ninth Oath Maids here," Rian responded.
"Understood, My Lord." After saying that, Emma immediately teleported.
Seeing Emma had disappeared, Asuka decided to step forward and approach Rian. She extended her hand to the side. From her palm, tree roots emerged and then magically formed a beautiful throne, with a natural brown style and green leaf decorations.
"My Lord, this is a chair of my own making. Please, sit there. For a Supreme Being like you, I feel it's not right to see you constantly standing," Asuka said as she carefully presented the chair.
"Thank you, Asuka," Rian replied, then sat down on the wooden throne.
"It is my duty to a Supreme Being such as yourself, My Lord," Asuka replied with a gentle, sisterly expression.
Rian didn't respond to Asuka's praise. Instead, he looked up at the night sky filled with stars. No matter how many times I see it, I never get tired of it.
One of his hobbies since coming to Mars was observing the beautiful night sky.
This is a view I could never get on Earth, not even with millions of dollars. Here, I can see the Milky Way galaxy and the sea of stars so clearly.
This sight reminded him of the view he saw when he was a child. At that time, there were no tall buildings, and industrial pollution had not yet contaminated the sky as it would sixteen years later.
People say that the first thing a person sees after being born, besides their parents, is the night sky.
I guess… that might be true.
