Ash Ketchum muttered to himself inside the small wooden cabin he'd constructed since leaving the battlefield behind. The Rain Country's forests were remote enough to hide from frequent bounty hunters — every ambitious fool who thought they could cash in on his head.
They all failed.
And now, only Masada Sakata remained as his sole point of contact with the outside world.
Ash didn't intend to build a power base here. He came to this world for one reason: to grow stronger.
As for intelligence? The bounty guild handled that — anything was possible with enough Pokédollars.
During this period, Ash often compared this world's strength system to the Pokémon world. Yet the two were difficult to measure side-by-side.
A Champion-level Pokémon back home was roughly between Kage-level and high-tier Jonin here — a bizarre and unstable comparison.

"Hey, System," Ash relaxed back into a rocking chair, eyes shifting to his spiritual interface. "If I obtain bloodline cells from this world… and you help me perfectly fuse them… would that cost less than redeeming a Kekkei Genkai?"

"So if I want to remove two blues and two reds… that's 80,000 points gone. All just for a chance at a gold or black pull?"
He grimaced, running the numbers again in his head.
"And if I still don't draw them… that's 80k right down the drain."

Ash rubbed his chin thoughtfully. If he hit a duplicate Senzu Bean or Devil Fruit, at least he'd have multiples of the item, just not overlapping boosts.

Ash stared blankly into space.

His 69 lottery draws (lol!) were disappearing fast — and every chime announcing a white-tier trash item made his blood pressure spike.
His hands tightened into fists.
"Senzu Beans come in bags of three… come on, I need that pull…"
But the System didn't care about urgency or hope.
It just kept ringing in the most irritatingly cheerful tone imaginable:
