It resembled Sasuke's Eternal Mangekyō, but only at a glance—Sasuke's pattern featured triangular shuriken, while Ash's design was sharper, more geometric, and entirely distinct.
After all, Ash's Sharingan originated from Uchiha Itachi's blueprint.
Therefore, evolving into the Eternal form followed Itachi's evolutionary path, not Sasuke's.
In essence, Ash's eyes were the version Itachi would have awakened had he fused his Mangekyō with Sasuke's—whereas Sasuke's Eternal form came from Itachi's Mangekyō.

His official identity was that of a Rain Village rogue ninja.
Before registering, he had paid to acquire a proper Amegakure forehead protector—and carved a horizontal slash across it, marking himself as a Missing-nin.
