Ethan's eyes flared with a lethal, violet light. His delicate features didn't soften the blow of his killing intent; they made it more unsettling. "Where? I want them erased from existence."
"They are entrenched in a mountain range 300 kilometers to the northwest," Crul replied.
"How did you find them? Those old rats are experts at playing dead."
"They were cautious for months, but they made the fatal mistake of entering one of our controlled zones to gather intelligence. They used physical disguises and aura-masking techniques, but they did not account for our facial recognition algorithms and bio-resonance scanners. Seeing through such primitive tricks was... trivial."
