Chapter 71 - What the hell is going on?! -69

At that moment, Peter no longer cared about anything else. He quickly stepped forward, brushed away Carina's playful hand that was groping carelessly, and placed his palm on Robin's belly.

Although he didn't feel anything, that didn't stop his joy.

"When did this happen? Why didn't you tell me earlier?"

Robin placed her hand over his, her eyes glowing with tenderness and joy, but her tone carried a hint of reproach:

"If it weren't for the examination Miss Doctor just did, I would've waited until we returned to the Grand Line to tell you… But maybe it's good you found out now. It was weighing on my chest."

Peter gently caressed Robin's belly, then looked excitedly at Kaya:

"Can you tell if it's a boy or a girl? And how far along is the pregnancy?"

Robin brushed his hand away in mild annoyance:

"Since we met, it hasn't been more than three months… Which means, at most, two months into the pregnancy. How could we possibly know the baby's gender?"

Robin had learned quite a lot recently after acquiring a "medical book."

Even so, as she said this, she cast a hopeful glance at Kaya. But Kaya could only shake her head regretfully.

"Maybe there are doctors in this world who can, but my level isn't that high… All I can say is that the pregnancy is about two months along."

A quiet, slightly disappointed expression crossed both Kaya's and Robin's faces.

Seeing that, Peter quickly reassured them:

"It's fine. Whether it's a boy or a girl, I'll love them all the same. And Kaya, don't worry, I was just asking."

But deep down, Peter valued this greatly—this would be the first time he'd become a father.

He even spent two whole nights by Robin's side, which made the other girls breathe a sigh of relief, though they still felt a twinge of jealousy.

On the third night, Robin sensed this and kicked him out of the room.

Peter saw no reason to refuse Mikita's warm invitation, so he spent the entire night with her, teaching her the "arts of life."

Perhaps because of the feelings Robin had stirred in her, Mikita trained with extra seriousness, even covering her womanhood to ensure pregnancy, and her loud cries could be heard even by Kaya two rooms away.

As for the shy girl, she tossed and turned in bed, hugging her legs under the blanket until she finally fell asleep.

On the fourth day, Peter returned to his usual state and finally remembered his other reward—the Dragon Balls.

That morning, after eating breakfast prepared by Nojiko and Carina together, he told the girls not to disturb him and locked himself inside the captain's cabin.

He sat behind the clean, tidy desk, rubbing his hands in excitement, then called out in his heart:

"System, bring out the Dragon Balls and the dragon model from Earth's version."

As soon as he finished speaking, seven smooth, equally-sized stone spheres appeared on the table, along with a stone model of a four-clawed dragon.

With these two things—and the knowledge granted by the system—he could create his own Dragon Balls in the world of pirates!

With them, he could obtain anything—immortality, wealth—so long as it was within the power of the divine dragon.

"The temptation of these is far greater than that of the Devil Fruits…"

As he looked at them, a plan came to mind to add a little fun to this chaotic world.

"But before that, I need to activate the Dragon Balls first."

He arranged the balls around the dragon model, raised his hands in a sword gesture, and began chanting a strange incantation:

"Babu Babi, Dada Babibo, Boda Boba Bo, Baba Boda!!"

A mysterious blue energy shot from his fingertips and struck the dragon model.

In an instant, golden light filled the room, and the stone model transformed into a palm-sized dragon. It moved slightly, then shot forward as a beam of light, entering the balls.

The Dragon Balls then shone with golden light, each displaying red stars from one to seven.

Peter picked up the four-star ball, but it hummed together with the others.

"Calm down… It's not your time yet. I'll make you appear on a day the whole world is watching, and you'll become a legend everywhere."

As if they understood, the balls fell silent. He carefully stored them inside a treasure chest.

Half an hour later, Peter walked out to the girls, his smile wide.

On the deck, Carina was playing cards with Robin and Nami. She waved at him:

"Peter! Come play with us!"

Peter approached, humming:

"Alright, I'm in a great mood today, so you choose the game."

He pulled out a thick stack of cash and placed it on the table.

Carina's and Nami's eyes lit up greedily, and they exchanged glances.

But after a few rounds, Peter had lost all his money—and surprisingly, Carina and Nami had lost as well—while Robin quietly won everything with a calm smile.

"Shall we continue? This money is barely enough to buy a carton of milk for the baby."

Nami and Carina quickly shook their heads and made excuses to escape.

But a few minutes later, Nami came running back holding a newspaper, shouting:

"Guys, come here! There's unbelievable news!"

Everyone gathered around, even Peter, who was munching on a huge watermelon.

"It's about you, Peter!" Nami said.

Peter blinked. "Me? Did they raise my bounty?"

Nami took a deep breath and read:

"Breaking news: Hawk-Eye Mihawk, one of the Shichibukai and the world's strongest swordsman, who was defeated half a month ago by the God of Destruction, has been captured by Big Mom's pirates—and she intends to marry him as her forty-fourth husband!"

Then she flipped the paper to him:

"Look! There's a picture of Zoro too! The report says he's joined Big Mom's crew, become close to the family, and might even be her strongest subordinate in the future."

The watermelon slipped from Peter's hands in shock.

"What the hell?! Mihawk, married to Big Mom?! And Zoro… Didn't you agree with Luffy that you'd be the world's greatest swordsman and he'd be Pirate King?! What kind of insane plot is this?!"

Even the girls, after Peter explained to them who the Four Emperors and the Shichibukai were, stood there stunned.

As for Hina, all she could say was one word:

"Legendary!"

Elsewhere in the New World, Shanks was reading the paper on a deserted island and burst into laughter until tears streamed down his face.

"Hahaha! What a joke, Mihawk!"

Lucky Roux, chewing on a chunk of meat, said:

"At least he's still alive, Captain."

Shanks laughed even harder:

"In this situation, he might wish he were dead instead!"

Benn Beckman took the paper, smoking calmly:

"That rookie really isn't ordinary… To take down Mihawk and capture him without resistance—that's impressive."
