Chapter 8 - Electro-Stimulation Technique... Total Annihilation

"Zack, are you crazy?"

Zane noticed that Zack seemed terrified of Chen Yang. What was there to be afraid of in a sissy like him?

Weird.

A smile touched the corners of Leo's mouth. He gently patted Zack's shoulder and then returned to his seat.

"Zack, what the hell happened between you and Chen Yang?" Zane asked.

Zack didn't want to talk about it. He didn't want to recount the events of that morning. It was just too damn terrifying. Was this the same Chen Yang he knew?

Had he been possessed by an alien?

First Period.

Literature Class.

The literature teacher was also their homeroom teacher, a middle-aged woman who looked very experienced but was actually quite timid. She often pretended to be very strict, using her authority to intimidate the students.

Only the students in the back knew that their homeroom teacher was a paper tiger. She was actually quite weak and would often bring them to her office to plead with them, saying, "I don't expect you to study, I just beg you not to cause trouble in class."

Lily had long since returned to her seat. She sat next to Leo, her head bowed, her body hunched over as if she were an ostrich, not daring to breathe too loudly.

Sometimes, when Leo smiled at her, expressing goodwill, Lily would tremble in fear, her face pale and bloodless.

The homeroom teacher stood at the podium, holding her book and adjusting her thick glasses. "Chen Yang, please recite this text."

Leo stood up and said, "Sorry, teacher, I haven't read it."

The teacher looked at Leo in surprise. In her memory, Chen Yang was a good student. Apart from his somewhat weak personality, he had always been perfect.

Perhaps this was the first time she had heard such an answer from her good student, and it left her a bit stunned.

"Alright, sit down then."

"Thank you." Leo sat down straight and continued to stare at the teacher.

His gaze was devoid of any emotion, yet it sent a chill down her spine.

The teacher stood at the podium, long accustomed to being watched by students. But now, for some reason, she felt a shiver run through her entire body.

There was nothing she could do.

She endured until the bell rang.

"Class dismissed."

The teacher packed her things and hurriedly left the classroom. This was the first time a student's gaze had made her feel so uncomfortable.

Leo sat at his desk.

Deep in thought.

He missed life at the Green Mountain Asylum. There, he had people he could talk to.

Here, he couldn't find anyone to talk to.

He watched the students running around the classroom, their conversations strange and, in his opinion, a waste of time.

At this moment, he walked to the back of the classroom, squatted down by the wall, and stared at the electrical socket embedded in it. It was identical to the ones at Green Mountain.

Two holes.

Dark and bottomless.

He couldn't see what was inside.

"Chen Yang, are you sick in the head? I've been watching you stare at that thing for a long time. What's so interesting about an electrical socket? You wouldn't dare stick your finger in there, would you? That's a death wish," a classmate said.

Leo said calmly, "Electricity can stimulate the human body. When you get used to the stimulation, it means you've become stronger. And I can tell you, this amount of electricity won't kill you."

The classmate said, "You're crazy. Anyone can talk big. If you've got the guts, show me."

"Alright." Leo took out a key and inserted it into the socket.

The classmate watched without blinking. Just then, someone tapped him on the shoulder. He turned to talk to them for a moment, then turned back to Leo and saw him still squatting there.

"Whatever, you can play with that on your own. You're weird."

He reached out to pat Leo on the shoulder, and the moment his hand landed on Leo's shoulder…

Bzzzt!

An electric current shot through him.

The classmate started to convulse as if possessed by a dancing spirit.

"Whoa! Ethan, what kind of dance is that? It's so cool!"

"Let me show you."

Another classmate reached out to push Ethan.

But the moment he touched him, the mischievous current, as if seeing its long-lost father, latched onto him as well.

A-la-la-la!

His tongue lolled out, his eyes rolled back.

The other students in the class, who had been chatting amongst themselves, saw the students in the back acting as if they had gone mad and burst out laughing. A few students with a talent for dancing started to mimic their moves.

A chubby, round-faced girl, performing a traditional folk dance with nimble neck movements, approached the electrocuted boy and bumped him with her hip.

Bzzzt!

Ooh-ooh-ooh!

The chubby girl's whole body convulsed, her head shaking violently.

Leo, his mind free of all other thoughts, was focused on studying the effects of electro-stimulation on the body.

"Strange."

"The effect seems very weak."

"Could it be that because I've experimented so often, the electricity doesn't have as strong an effect on me?"

Leo's expression turned grave.

He knew that his and Old Walter's theory had finally been proven. It was all true. Their scientific theory, through their persistence, had finally borne fruit.

He really wanted to share their success with Old Walter.

But then he remembered he was still stuck in this boring, unfamiliar place, and he felt a pang of loneliness. I want to go back. When can I go back?

Leo pulled out the key, carefully looped it back on its ring, and put it in his pocket.

Then he replaced the socket cover.

"Oh!"

When he was about to return to his seat, he noticed that all his classmates were lying on the floor. Some had singed hair, some were foaming at the mouth, and others were twitching uncontrollably.

"Strange."

Leo scratched his head. He couldn't understand these so-called normal people. Even at Green Mountain Asylum, his fellow patients, who were labeled as having the most severe mental illnesses, knew to sleep in their beds.

But these people were lying on the floor.

"Studying really is a mentally taxing affair."

Leo wanted to blend in, to not stand out, but his bladder was sending him a clear signal. It was full and needed to be emptied before it burst.

"I'll go to the bathroom first."

The second period was math.

The math teacher was a smug young man who styled his hair perfectly every day.

In a word.

He was drop-dead gorgeous.

The most handsome guy in school, the most handsome male teacher.

From 60 to 15, no female could resist his charm.

Clack, clack!

The sound of footsteps approached.

A figure appeared at the classroom door.

"My dear students, next up is math class, your favorite…" The math teacher grinned, striking what he thought was his most handsome pose. But very quickly, his smile turned into a pig-like squeal.

"Aaaah!"

"There's been a murder! Someone, help! Oh my god!"

In an instant.

A heart-wrenching scream echoed through the quiet school building.

A long while later.

Leo patted his bladder, then his large intestine. Not only had he emptied the tank, but he had also cleared out all the waste from his colon.

He felt refreshed and light.

It seemed that the Electro-Stimulation Technique was very effective for expelling impurities.

As he walked back to the classroom, he heard a sound.

"Wee-woo! Wee-woo! Wee-woo!"

A fleet of ambulances, their holy lights flashing, sped out of the school gates.

Leo stood silently on the fourth floor, watching.

He scratched his head.

What a terrifying school.
