Far in the capital city of Lethon, in a hotel—
On the bed sat Suu.
"So, do we have a new quest yet?" Suu asked, as she let out a groan.
"Nope, since the exploration teams of the Dark Lord hasn't been called, were just back to doing normal quest — and even then, we don't have that." Frelius answered, sitting on the other side of the bed.
"Doesn't it usually take a while for Worldly Creations to manifest?" Adam said, leaning on the wall of the hotel room.
"It does. Not once in the history of the world have one occurred after another in quick succession." Morla added.
"That still doesn't explain the lack of quest by the Adventurer's Guild, though?" Velsen joined in.
"What did you expect? We're only a C-rank party?" Morla answered.
"Still though, not even an easy Daggerthone hunting quest?" Adam complained.
"Well-"
Before Frelius could continue, a large ripple of energy could be felt around the world.
It could be felt around the entire world, a vibration with origins unknown. With this burst of energy also came the creation of a Worldly Creation.
"What the hell?!" Velsen shouted.
"W-What was that?!" Suu said, clearly the most shaken.
"Whatever it was, it sort of felt like a Worldly Creation no?" Adam added.
"Worldly Creations cause little to no tremors, so I highly doubt that." Morla reasoned.
In fact it wasn't a Worldly Creation that caused such an impact, it was the combination aura of the god of freedom and the "god of anomalies" which in turn caused a Worldly Creation to be derived, creating even more pressure of impact.
The "gods" however could not feel ripple of energy due to them all being in their own divine realms in which was isolated from the world.
"You know what that means!" Velsen asked.
"No way! You remember the last time we went on a wild goose chase for some discovery?!" Morla rebuked.
"Come on, this may just be the discovery of the century! Right guys?" Velsen said.
The others seemed to start thinking about the idea.
"He's sort of right. Nothing like this has ever happened since the war between the Gods and Dark Lord happened. Maybe it's something important or even entertaining at the very least." Frelius started.
"Besides, we don't have anything else to do except to sit back and wait." Adam continued.
"So we're gonna go?" Velsen asked.
"Why not, should be something interesting nonetheless, right?" Suu said, stretching as she stood up from the bed.
-----------------
A few minutes ago over in the new realm—
"You know, somehow I've already gotten use to this fast-paced, chaotic world. I'm already meeting a God." Caedis said.
"Hm? So you have no words about taking my apostle?" The Fool asked.
"Why would I? She merely encountered me, after all. There's point is there in killing her — she isn't of use to me either. I already have my own apostles, after all." Caedis said nonchalantly.
Alena got a shiver from those words as if she was something that could be discarded whenever.
"However, since she is with me at the moment I don't think I'll be giving her back."
"You what?" The Fool said, his face getting angry slightly.
"Are you one that is very sentimental about the people you appoint as your apostles? Or is there a lack of worthy people, excuse my tongue after all I don't exactly know the nature of you fellow Gods." Caedis followed.
"How long do you plan to disgrace yourself shitless? Your not even a real god." The Fool said.
At that moment the entire area went silent, the only thing that could be heard was the silent breeze of the wind and the movement of flowers. Those words were enough for everyone except the two to become furious, while Alena was tense.
"Do you know what you just said?! Your slander will not be tolerated!" Silvan exclaimed, moving in front of Caedis.
"I agree, my blade shall personally see you for entertaining fall from godhood." Kuro joined.
"It's alright... It's quite fine." Caedis said, his hand in the air to signal them to not intervene.
"As much as playing with you have been, I'm not in the mood to be insulted in my face. So do me a favor, and leave this forest."
With those words the nature golems returned and grabbed The Fool at once.
"G-God of Anomalies, please spare my lord! He truly meant no harm towards you." Alena begged.
"Now, as much as I don't want to start something with this guy, I can't really let that insult fly. Especially since they don't know I'm not a god. So showing mercy isn't possible, hell I didn't even know these golems would come back! I was prepared to use my skill again even with my low flow amount." Caedis thought.
The Fool merely looked at Caedis with a smile, before the golems were destroyed.
"So they were your tricks? I'm glad I let it drag me then, though I must admit — it's illusions are top tier. Your amusing, I must say." The Fool said, while chuckling.
"Now, what I can't beat a God... my flux amount right now is nonexistent!" Caedis thought.
Before the conflict can get worse, A jellyfish appears again.
"This stops now, for even a god should know their boundaries in this realm." The big black and light blue jellyfish said, grazing upon Caedis slightly as he past them, making Caedis feel somehow energized.
"What?" The Fool says.
"You are a guest and as such shouldn't be attacking your host. The next time you do so, you will be removed. EFFECTIVE IMMIDIATELY." The big jellyfish continued.
"...Tch. So after being grabbed by that creature, I'm now being treated as a mere insect?" The Fool asked.
Caedis sighed, collecting himself.
"It seems my joking has gone to far, so I apologize for that. I am as lost as you are so let us start fresh shall we as Gods and all." Caedis said.
"You aren't a God why do you keep saying such things, you don't radiate an ounce of divinity." The Fool replied.
This obviously didn't sit well with anyone, however, Caedis didn't care all that much.
"Well, since I'm not in the mood for needless fighting, do you want to test that theory of yours?" Caedis asked.
"Gladly." The Fool said with a smirk.
After those words were uttered, a red and blue aura encircled his body. It felt, heavenly, no mere words could describe the sight. Along with his aura, flying theater mask were hovering about in place moving ever so slightly.
"You seem to be new here, but each god has divine aura and the way it's displayed is tailored to the god." The Fool explained.
"I see, however I'm an anomaly. I'm sure anomalies have their own aura, the problem would be it needing to feel divine or godlike. However, whether he believes me or not the story of me losing most of my power could be a good cover up for my lack of divinity. My max flux capacity isn't enough to grant me divinity either." Caedis thought.
Caedis having resolved to see the outcome and act accordingly, closed his eyes and imagined releasing flux as if breathing.
The entire sky of the realm then turned a pale dark black. The air thickened as if drenched in ink. Flux butterflies storm the sky, along with jellyfishes. The aura around Caedis became twisted, as if not meant to be a thing.
"W-what on earth?" The Fool shouted, clearly shocked with the turn of events.
Unfortunately, this slight loss of focus caused their aura's to start mixing with each other.
"Oh, shoot!" The Fool panicked.
As their aura's mixed a huge shockwave resonated within not only this realm but the realm outside it. That shockwave removed both from their aura state.
"What the? What happened?" Caedis said, on the grass after he was blasted back a bit.
"We may have just caused a global energy wave." The Fool said, on grass as well.
The two Gods then looked at each other, before they broke into laughter.
"Man, when I came to get my apostle from this forest. When I heard about the God of Anomalies, I just knew us mixing would lead to some fun." The Fool said.
"Seems like you were right. Your not all that bad, Fool." Caedis added.
"Back at you." The Fool said.
The others just looked baffled at the chaos that occurred as if this was all somewhat planned.
"Does this mean were cooperating with each other?" Shiro asked.
"I guess you could say that kid. Not like I could do anything to you all anyways, the jellyfish said as such." The Fool replied, shrugging.
"Right..." Aedis said.
"There goes my chance to fight a god." Kuro sighed.
"We probably caused something stupid to happen just now though." The Fool said, looking at Caedis.
"In the real realm?" Caedis asked.
"Indeed, however I don't all that care to fix it so why don't you lead me through this realm of yours." The Fool answered.
"Sure. However, I don't really remember or even know much about this realm of 'mines', so this will be a learning experience for the both of us, I suppose." Caedis continued.
The Fool looked at Caedis, as he turned around to start walking and began to ponder some things. Alena then stopped while they were walking and turned around to The Fool.
"You coming my lord?" Alena asked.
"Of course, don't mind me.~" The Fool replied, as he started walking.
"Lucky me — stuck being the God I'm loyal to and a God who I just met, isn't my life just wonderful." Alena thought, before letting out a sigh.
"At least, It didn't escalate otherwise I might've truly been distraught." She concluded, in her head.
