Chapter 3 - Chapter 02 — Between Glances and Pheromones

The meeting room was filled with soft fragrances and hushed voices. Japanese investors lined the glass table, every movement meticulously calculated, every word measured with precision.

Yun entered first. Upright posture, razor-sharp gaze, a fresh, citrusy scent that filled the air with an almost cruel authority. His impeccably tailored suit seemed part of his own skin — a shield. But what stood out most was the way he entered a room: as someone who never asked permission to exist.

Ryan followed close behind, silent as an oncoming storm. He didn't wear cologne. He didn't need to. His scent — primal and powerful — invaded any space and put the omegas in the room on alert — except Yun. Or at least, that's what he pretended.

The meeting began with formal greetings and calculated introductions. Yun kept his eyes on the projected graphs, the numbers, the subtext. But now and then, without realizing it, his gaze drifted to Ryan — who remained motionless, yet alert, like a wolf.

At one point, one of the investors asked Ryan a direct question in Japanese. Yun turned, ready to translate — but Ryan responded with perfect fluency.

For a moment, silence fell.

Yun arched a brow.

"You speak Japanese?"

"Fluent since I was fifteen," Ryan replied, eyes still locked on the investors. "Didn't you read my résumé properly, Mr. Yun?"

A faint smile tugged at the omega's lips. A rare thing. But a beautiful one.

"Apparently not," he said quietly.

When the meeting ended and the investors left, satisfied with promises and contracts, the air finally felt lighter.

Yun stood by the window again when Ryan approached.

"Why do you keep me here?" he asked. "You're too smart to hold on to someone who constantly challenges you."

Yun didn't turn, but his voice came firm:

"Because I like danger. And you… you smell exactly like the kind of ruin that draws me in."

Ryan was silent for a moment. Then, boldly, he crossed the invisible line between them. They were even closer now.

"Then tell me, Yun," his voice deep and charged, "what's it going to be? War or surrender?"

Yun locked eyes with him.

"That depends on who fires first."

To be continued…
