Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: Ability Evaluation? Leo Bright's Super Ability Showcase

Agent Combat Training Room.

"Let me introduce myself. I'm Leo Fitz from the Science Task Force, but you can call me Fitz. And this is Gemma Simmons, my partner."

"Mr. Bright, I'm very interested in your special abilities. We're about to test them. Don't worry, it won't harm you. I'm eager to get started. Are you ready?" asked the young man with naturally curly hair, exuding a genuine and earnest demeanor.

Nearby, Phil Coulson and Melinda May watched the proceedings with interest.

Leo Bright was outfitted with about four or five metal patches, all connected to a computer at his side.

"My name is Leo Bright, not Robin. Could you please use my actual name?" Leo replied, pulling at the wires attached to him. The computer displayed his heart rate and other data. He was calm.

"Uh... sorry, I really tried..." Fitz shrugged and grinned sheepishly.

Leo Bright's name was a bit challenging to pronounce. It wasn't Fitz's fault that he accidentally called him Robin.

"Mr. Bright, can we begin?" Simmons asked eagerly.

"You haven't done this before, have you?" Leo asked, raising an eyebrow at their enthusiasm.

"Uh... to be honest, we've only experimented on corpses so far. Not many people have cooperated like this. But don't worry, theoretically, this shouldn't affect you at all," Fitz admitted candidly.

Simmons shot him a look, signaling him to stop talking if he couldn't do so tactfully.

Leo sighed and waved for them to start.

"From the current data, your physique is nothing extraordinary except being slightly stronger than average. NBA players and athletes can achieve similar physiques."

"So, I'm curious, what is your super ability?" Fitz asked directly.

Leo rubbed his chin, feeling a bit self-conscious.

"I..."

"I can make people handsome," he said.

"Okay, your ability is... Wait, what did you just say? What is your ability?!" Fitz was stunned for a moment, then looked skeptical.

"I can make people handsome." Leo rolled his eyes. Having said it, he felt less embarrassed.

"I... don't quite get it. Making people handsome... what kind of ability is that?" Fitz looked puzzled.

Others in the room also seemed bewildered.

"Mr. Coulson, can you help me with a demonstration?" Leo turned to Phil Coulson.

"Me? Alright," Phil Coulson replied, looking a bit unsure.

"Remember our conversation about hair color?" Leo asked with a mischievous grin.

"It's tough being in this position. I noticed some gray hairs at the back of your head. You've dyed it before, and your hairline is receding. A mid-life crisis might be looming," Leo said casually.

"Well... yeah... but what does that have to do with your ability?" Phil Coulson asked, a bit self-conscious about his image.

Maybe no man wants to go bald.

"It's related because, as I said, I can make people handsome."

"Alright then!"

Leo pointed his index finger at Phil Coulson.

Phil Coulson felt a bit nervous, like being in the crosshairs, but his calm demeanor quickly returned.

"piu~"

Leo mimicked shooting, complete with sound effects.

Then, a change occurred!

Phil Coulson's thinning hair thickened, and under the shifting light, little golden stars appeared, sparkling.

A slicked-back hairstyle, as if tailor-made, replaced Phil Coulson's thinning crown.

It's amazing how a hairstyle can transform someone's aura.

Phil Coulson now looked like the coolest guy around, instantly turning into a lady killer. He appeared ten years younger, exuding elegance in his black professional suit. Even his previously bewildered expression now seemed deep and intriguing.

"Unbelievable! Is this some kind of magic trick!?" Fitz couldn't help but blurt out, touching his own curls enviously.

"What just happened? Why's everyone looking at me like that?" Phil Coulson asked, bewildered.

Simmons handed him a mirror, stepping forward excitedly: "See for yourself. You're quite charming now."

Phil Coulson glanced at the mirror, momentarily stunned, unsure whether to laugh or cry.

"Is this your super ability? Well, it's certainly unique."

Even Phil Coulson, usually composed, was taken aback by his transformation. What a remarkable ability!

Though it lacked direct combat potential...

"This is just one of my super abilities." Leo shrugged, having used his "hairdressing director's master-level skill" on someone else for the first time.

Seeing the impressive results, Leo was already considering future pricing.

"Do you have other super abilities?" Simmons asked, tilting her head, clearly intrigued.

"Yes, it seems you've been pulling all-nighters. You have dark circles and a few pimples. Come here," Leo motioned to the blonde scientist.

"Me?" Simmons approached instinctively.

Leo waved his hand, using his 'whitening skin care technique.'

After a brief moment, Simmons' skin looked incredibly smooth, not just on her face, but even her neck appeared white and translucent.

Compared to Phil Coulson, Simmons' transformation was more noticeable. She felt rejuvenated, her tiredness from work melting away.

"Wow... you look amazing," Fitz remarked in awe.

"Impressive," May commented coolly, though her glances at Simmons betrayed her interest.

"How did you do that?" Phil Coulson was puzzled. He could comprehend abilities like fire-breathing or electric shocks, but what Leo did defied scientific explanation.

It seemed almost magical.

"Damn, I just knew how to use it right after my abilities awakened."

"Oh, and I have a few other skills. It's a bit messy here, let me tidy up."

Leo snapped his fingers, activating the 'Small Area Cleaning Technique.' A pleasant breeze blew through, and the room was spotless, shining bright.

"This is definitely a trick!" Fitz, usually so rigid and factual, exclaimed.

Everyone's perception of Leo Bright shifted dramatically.
