Chapter 43 - Chapter 42 - Journey to the Realm of the Dead (IV)

Godwyn certainly knew what Hela's and Loki's gazes meant, but he didn't explain anything. Creating his own pantheon was something he didn't want to share at that moment. After all, it was such a bold ambition that it could hinder his plans.

"I will speak with the King of Muspelheim, perhaps I can make the Jotun start the war." Godwyn said in a calm tone. Although he didn't know if he could make Surtur join the war, he had to try. It was better than becoming an enemy of a being millions of years old.

Surtur was the second being in existence, Ymir's brother, millions of years old, extremely powerful and an even more voracious warrior than Thor. Godwyn didn't want to be an enemy of a being of that caliber for something like that.

"Good luck, he didn't seem receptive to my presence." Loki shrugged and spoke in a calm tone.

"No one is receptive to your presence." Mimir, who had been silent until now, commented with a sarcastic tone.

Hela looked at the head attached to Godwyn's belt with a cold gaze. She was not dissatisfied with Mimir's tone when speaking of her father, but rather by the fact that Mimir was dead, but his soul had not reached her Realm.

Feeling the goddess's gaze, Mimir regretted speaking, he just smiled gently at the Goddess of the Dead and spoke respectfully.

"You are so beautiful, beautiful goddess-" Before he could finish, a sword made of the souls of the dead passed inches away from Mimir's head, making him shut up.

"Godwyn can praise me because he is young and handsome, as for you… hehe." Hela spoke and ended with a disdainful laugh. She didn't need to continue for Mimir to understand the implications of the Queen of the Dead's words.

Mimir felt offended, although he was old, he was obviously the most beautiful head in the Nine Realms. Even the Queen of the Valkyries had fallen in love with him. He was definitely a handsome mature man!

When Mimir was about to retort the Queen of the Dead's words, he noticed her red eyes turning cold and wisely remained silent, as if agreeing with Hela's words.

"Any movement from the Aesir?" Godwyn asked, looking at Loki. He didn't believe that Odin didn't know about the war that was about to happen. After all, with the war against the Greek Pantheon, it was a rare chance to start Ragnarok.

"Aside from a few orders on the Front Line, the All-Father remained seated on the Hlidskialf throne." Loki spoke in a solemn tone. The Hlidskialf Throne was Odin's throne; the throne served as an amplifier of the All-Father's own powers.

As long as Odin remained seated, not even he dared to pretend to be another god. For Odin's Omniscience would be amplified and his disguise would be useless.

"It's understandable for him to be sitting on Hlidskialf, he knows better than anyone that he will fight on two war fronts, an external and an internal one." Hela said with a cold and sarcastic tone. "It's still a mystery if the God of War and the other gods obeyed the All-Father at this moment."

"The wives and children of many gods were forbidden to leave Asgard." Loki added with a smile.

"They are hostages to prevent the betrayal of gods and goddesses." Godwyn said with a calm look. Odin was despicable, he himself knew that and made everyone hostages so that there would be no betrayal at such a critical moment.

"And the front line?" Godwyn asked curiously. He had only heard some rumors while in the Greek Pantheon.

"The god and goddess of war are leading the Greek divine army. The front line has become a meat grinder, but we have a great advantage, we have entered Greek territory by fifty kilometers." Loki said with a somewhat proud tone of the current course of the war.

"Greek gods only know how to screw and drink, when it came to battle, which Pantheon dares to say they are better than us?" Hela said with a touch of sarcasm and pride. She was proud of the Norse Pantheon's warlike origin.

Thalia couldn't help but feel slightly embarrassed; she was a teenager and felt embarrassed about this topic.

"There are children present, My Queen." Godwyn had to speak, seeing Thalia's expression. These kinds of subjects were not something children should hear.

Hela and Loki looked strangely at Godwyn. From what they remembered, Norse demigods lost their virginity before their first mission. It was an ancient tradition to sleep with a woman before a battle; dying a virgin or dying without experiencing a woman was a sad fact in the eyes of the Norse.

Godwyn was definitely not inexperienced when it came to this matter, especially with his popularity in Asgard. So, hearing him call himself a child because of this topic was laughable in the eyes of Loki and Hela.

Godwyn knew the thoughts of both gods seeing their gazes, but he really didn't want to pollute Thalia's mind at this age. Although it was somewhat hypocritical of him, given that Thalia could lose her life at this moment. In the face of death, what was commenting on sex.

"The spear that pierces the All-Father's chest is already being forged." Godwyn changed the subject, showing a relaxed expression.

"Brok and Sindri are the best blacksmiths in our Pantheon." Loki said with a touch of admiration in his eyes. He himself was a blacksmith, so he had great admiration for the creators of the Mjolnir hammer.

"You should have asked for some rare materials for us." Hela said, looking at Godwyn with a touch of displeasure. "The Spear has to be as strong as possible."

"Don't worry, the body of the spear is a branch of the world tree." Godwyn replied calmly. Of course, he knew that the coffers of these ancient gods were full of treasures, but he already had the perfect materials for his spear.

Loki and Hela widened their eyes, hearing Godwyn's words. Remembering the tremor half a day ago, both understood why it happened.

However, Loki frowned. "A branch of the world tree weighs the same as a planet, will you have the strength to use it?" This weight was still the lowest estimate, even the weight of some planets was no exaggeration.

This was the branch of the world tree, capable of creating a planet. Even Odin had to use Ymir's head to create Midgard, showing how rare a branch of the world tree was.

"Don't worry, the spear can only be used by me and by whom I allow." Godwyn replied calmly, knowing Loki's concerns, but he himself was not worried. The branch was given by Yggdrasil herself, so he would have no difficulty using the spear, even if it weighed more than some planets combined.

But this only showed how powerful the spear will be when finally ready.

"Just be careful, this type of weapon is very powerful, if used by someone with bad intentions, it will be a disaster for other beings." Mimir warned, but unconsciously, looked at Loki with a deep gaze.

Loki didn't feel offended by Mimir's gaze, he knew better than anyone his nature. It was his nature to create chaos, plot conspiracies, and lie. Although Ragnarok was to save his sons and daughters, it was also to satisfy his morbid desire for chaos and death.

After all, he was a clown and a clown needs a stage to perform. Ragnarok was the perfect stage where he would perform for the entire Nine Worlds, even if he were to die at the end of the performance.

"I'm not foolish enough to lose my most powerful weapon." Godwyn rolled his eyes and said. Knowing the events six years later, he knew the consequences of having a God King level weapon stolen.

He was not Zeus, who thought no one was bold enough to steal his weapon. If there was one thing Godwyn never underestimated, it was human greed.

"I'm going to Muspelheim to convince the Fire King to go to war." Godwyn said, taking Thalia's hand and walking to the palace exit. Just as Hela had work to do, so did he.

"He's different, did you notice anything, dear daughter?" Looking at Godwyn's back, Loki said with a smile. His green eyes returned to his daughter, awaiting her answer.

"There's nothing wrong." Hela observed Godwyn's soul being gradually divinized and replied in a calm tone, lying without any hesitation. She could notice why, as the goddess of the dead, no other god could ever do such a thing. As for why she lied, it couldn't be more obvious.

Loki might be her father, but his treacherous nature was undeniable.

"Lying before the god of lies is not wise, daughter." With his body gradually disappearing, Loki's amused words echoed through the bone hall.

Hela didn't respond and returned to sit on her bone throne. Closing her eyes, she began again the tedious work of judging the souls of the dead.
