Chapter 113 - CHAPTER 111 – “Welcome to the Family, Carats”

Then the girls' father turned to Mingyu with a grin.

"Mingyu, can we do the Whiplash and Ddu-Du Ddu-Du steps from BLACKPINK?" he smirked playfully.

Mingyu stood up eagerly. "Yes, Uncle!" he replied with a bright smile.

Nian queued up Ddu-Du Ddu-Du on her phone. As it played, the energy surged through Mingyu like electricity—he danced with fire, completely owning the floor. To everyone's surprise, the girls' father danced alongside him, matching his steps with impressive precision.

The boys gasped and cheered.

"Waa~~!"

Hoshi clutched his chest. "Guys, if we ever discuss adding a new member, we have to recommend their dad. He's totally matching our vibe!" he giggled. "I can't wait for my turn—I need to dance with him!"

As Whiplash started playing, DK and Wonwoo leapt up to join in. The living room transformed into a stage, with everyone laughing and dancing freely.

When the music stopped, Mingyu, DK, and Wonwoo caught their breath.

"You boys are amazing dancers," the father said, clapping. "I'm really happy I got to dance with you."

Mingyu grinned. "Uncle, you matched our energy so well—I'm impressed!"

The father laughed and turned to Mingyu again. "Can you do your iconic cheek poke for me?"

Mingyu blinked but did it shyly, poking his cheek. The father beamed, patting his shoulder in delight.

---

Next up: Hoshi.

He jumped up like a gleeful tiger. "Uncle! What do you want me to do? Just say it!"

The father smirked. "Let's do the Maestro leg steps, the Cheers hip move—and finish it off with Horanghae."

Hoshi's eyes lit up. "YES!"

Xuanye eagerly snatched Nian's phone to play the song.

Nian gave her a side-eye. "Are you excited because your bias is going to dance?"

Xuanye nodded sheepishly. "Absolutely."

Nian glanced at Minghao. "Looks like your Flutterhao is getting jealous."

Xuanye looked at him and caught the bombastic side-eye Minghao gave her. She quickly formed a heart with her hands. Minghao just shook his head with a sigh and a smile.

---

As the music began, their father and Hoshi got into position.

"Anyone who wants to join, don't sit there—come dance!" the father called.

Woozi couldn't hold back. He stood up and started doing the fast-paced legwork alongside them. The rest of the boys fangirled from the couch.

Their mother squealed, "Waa~~!"

Nian raised a brow. "Ma~ we've never seen you this hyped before."

Xuanye added, "You used to scold us for fangirling, but look at you now."

Their mom waved them off. "That was before. But now… after seeing Woozi and Jeonghan? I've converted." She gazed dreamily at them like precious gems.

---

When Cheers played, Hoshi, Woozi, and Scoups joined in. With right hands on their hips and left on their heads, they did the signature hip shake.

Dino, Joshua, Jeonghan, Wonwoo, Vernon, Jun, and Minghao blushed and giggled. The whole room echoed with laughter and rhythm.

Hoshi finished with a dramatic bow, hugged their dad, and beamed.

The father grinned. "Hoshi~ I don't know what else to say—you guys nailed it."

---

"Dino, your turn!"

Dino stood proudly. The father grinned. "Let's do Spell, and then rap your part from Fighting—like you did at the award show."

Dino hyped himself up, shaking his hands and legs. Jun, Minghao, and Hoshi ran to join him. As Spell played, they danced the hook step while the others vibed along from their seats.

Nian and her mom held hands, giggling. Xuanye recorded Minghao's dance with stars in her eyes.

When the song ended, the boys clapped wildly. Dino then requested Fighting's backing track. He pulled out sunglasses, swept his hair back, and launched into his rap with full charisma. DK, Boo, and Hoshi hyped him up and sang along.

Dino ended with a dramatic "fairy ending," removing his glasses and gazing at the camera with "love eyes."

Applause thundered. The boys hugged him while he giggled, proud.

"You're a really cute maknae," their dad said warmly. "And you guys encouraging him like this—it's beautiful."

---

"Boo, you're next!"

Boo blushed and walked up like a shy idol.

"I want to hear your Aju Nice high note," their dad said, "then the April Shower part where you dance with Hoshi. And… your famous bombastic side-eye."

Boo turned red. Xuanye cued Aju Nice. As he hit the high note, the room went silent. When he finished, everyone screamed like they were at an award show.

Boo dramatically flipped his hair.

Next up, April Shower. Hoshi joined him, placing his hand on Boo's chest for his line. Boo laughed but played along. Then he danced, placing his hand on Hoshi's shoulder. The father joined in too.

Nian whispered, "Ye~ if we leave Appa like this, he might apply to be a Pledis dancer."

Xuanye burst out laughing. "How is our dad this good at dancing?!"

Their mom, meanwhile, blushed while watching her husband.

As they finished, Boo showed his bombastic side-eye and patted the father's back dramatically.

---

"Jun, come here!"

Jun blushed and signaled Xuanye to play Aju Nice and Psycho.

The boys stood behind him like backup dancers as Jun took center stage. He danced like a pro while Boo hit his high note again.

Then Psycho played. Jun's serious expression and glittering eyes made the girls squeal and kick the floor.

As he ended, everyone stood and clapped. He flashed his signature "meow," hugged the dad, and ran back in embarrassment.

---

Next was Vernon.

"Lalali rap, Maestro part, Black Eyes, and Eyes On You," the dad said.

Vernon chuckled and rapped effortlessly. The boys and the dad vibed hard. His dance in Maestro—smooth, sharp, expressive—stole the show.

Then came Black Eyes, where his soulful voice shined.

By Eyes On You, the girls were fangirling hard. Mingyu leaned on Scoups' shoulder and lip-synced dramatically.

When Vernon finished, he covered his face in shyness.

The dad gently patted his head. "You're gifted. Keep going."

---

"Joshua, your turn!"

Joshua smiled. "Aura, Pretty U, and Fortunate Change, right?"

He sang Fortunate Change with a soft pop tone. The boys harmonized quietly, while the girls swayed along. In Pretty U, his cute dance had everyone cracking up. He closed with a powerful aura pose.

Turning shyly, he hugged the dad.

"You're doing great," the dad said. "Joshua, if I joined your group, I'd slow you down."

Joshua wiped a tear. "Uncle… you're already one of us."

The dad smiled. "Don't ever let anything get you down. If you ever need to talk, call me or just come here. My door's always open."

The boys grew emotional, some tearing up. The girls and their mom watched with full hearts.

"Don't be sad, boys," their mom said gently. "You've made this house warmer than ever."

---

"DK, your turn!"

DK was up next.

"Let's see your CBZ Prime Time part—and act like a pigeon."

DK groaned in disbelief. The others cackled.

As the song played, DK, Hoshi, and Boo danced the hook, ending with the infamous butt slide.

Nian giggled and started recording. DK spotted her and did extra moves just for her, their eyes locking playfully.

Their parents exchanged smiles—We made the right choice accepting their love.

---

Finally, Minghao.

"I want every hook step," the dad said. "You're the five-minute screentime killer."

Minghao looked overwhelmed, but Xuanye gave him an encouraging nod.

He danced through HOT, Super, and Maestro—each move perfect, fluid, precise. His body waves were art. When he finished, the dad smiled.

"You're not only a fantastic dancer, but also a fine young man."

Minghao gave a bashful smile, feeling proud.

---

"Woozi and Wonwoo—your turn!"

Woozi danced to Stupid Idiot and the 96'ers theme. Hoshi joined in. They looked like adorable kids, full of charm and cuteness.

Woozi finished with a rare fairy-ending wink that had Nian and Xuanye screaming. He blushed deep red.

The dad chuckled. "Woozi, you're an amazing producer. I'm proud."

Then Wonwoo came forward quietly.

"Let's do the Water Step and Magnetic," the dad said.

Wonwoo hesitated at first, but with everyone's encouragement, he sang Magnetic with a shy but steady voice. As he grew more confident, the room swayed and clapped along.

"You may be quiet," the dad said, "but you left a deep impression."

Wonwoo smiled, heart warmed.

---

Their father stood. "Alright, one last dance—Love, Money, Fame, all together!"

Everyone gathered. Nian gave her phone to her mom.

"Ma, can you record this?"

She nodded with a warm smile.

As the song played, the boys and girls danced in sync with their father—hands on hips, laughter ringing, hearts full.

A perfect ending to a perfect day.
