Chapter 104 - SNEEKPEAK: “Loudie’s Gift, Nian’s Sunshine ”

DK finished his practice and was traveling to see Nian, who was working in her office. On the way, he saw a shop—a jewelry store. He stopped his car, got out, and entered the shop.

"Ma'am, is there any chain for girls?" he asked.

She nodded and showed many chains. DK's eyes caught on one particular chain—the upper part was thin, becoming even more delicate as it went down, ending in a tiny flower. DK gently rubbed the design with a smile.

He looked at the staff and asked, "Can you customize it?"

She said yes, and DK's face lit up. "Then can you engrave 'Sunshine' on it, and I want a heart beside it… with Loudie."

The staff widened her eyes in shock, then chuckled and nodded. DK smiled brightly, handed the chain to her, and she left to customize it. It took an hour.

When the chain was ready, DK saw it and his face lit up. He giggled happily, paid for it, and left. As he entered the car, he giggled in his seat, placed the chain on the seat, and started to drive.

Meanwhile, Nian and Xuanye were working in the office. It was 12 PM. Xuanye was busy when a staff member came into their cabin.

"Xuanye, there's a parcel for you," the staff said.

Xuanye looked up and nodded. As the staff left, she sighed and slowly turned to Nian, who was busy preparing a proposal.

Nian felt something off and narrowed her eyes. When she turned to Xuanye, she saw her looking at her with pity-filled eyes.

Nian said, "I won't do anything. I'm busy."

Xuanye smiled and placed her hands on Nian's arm, pulling her dress. "Sister~~ can you get the parcel for me? I have plenty of files to review."

Nian blinked in surprise. "What a surprise—you're calling me sister?"

Xuanye chuckled while Nian brushed off her hands. "Now you know I'm your sister, right? Then obey me—go and get it yourself."

Xuanye pouted and pleaded like a child.

Nian held back a laugh. "Yay~ I also have plenty of work. If you want me to get the parcel… then…"

Xuanye leaned in eagerly. "Then what?!"

Nian smirked. "Then from now on, you should call me sister."

Xuanye pouted again. "Okay~ there's nothing wrong with calling you that. Sister~~ can you get me the parcel?"

Nian patted her head, stood up with a laugh, and left. Xuanye smiled, showing her teeth playfully.

On the other hand, DK reached Nian's office. He looked at the building and whispered happily, "Huh~ I'm at her office again." He giggled, wore his mask, and walked inside.

DK walked to the reception. Meanwhile, Nian, who was scrolling through her phone, was also walking toward the reception. Without looking ahead, she bumped into someone.

Nian groaned, saw a shoe, and said, "Sorry—"

The man also said, "Sorry," then opened his eyes and saw Nian. He tilted his head to confirm.

DK smirked and said in a bossy tone, "Can't you look straight while walking?"

Nian looked caught red-handed. "Sorry, sir. I didn't mean to bump into you," she said, lifting her head.

When she saw his face, she froze. DK was smiling behind his mask.

Nian's eyes widened. She couldn't breathe.

DK chuckled. "Nian~ answer me. Why are you silent?"

Nian finally breathed again, kicked his leg, and said, "Loudie~ how can you prank me like that? I was scared!" She lightly slapped his arm.

DK laughed in pain. "Nian, you're working. Why are you on your phone during office hours?"

Nian sighed. "I came to take a parcel." She showed her phone. "I was going to message you, but I bumped into you," she smiled.

DK patted her head. "What parcel are you going to take? Is it… me?" He placed his hand on his chin and winked.

Nian laughed and placed her hand on his cheek. "Loudie, if you were a parcel, I'd snatch you up and never give you to anyone."

DK blushed while she grabbed his hand. "Loudie, let's talk outside." She walked away, and he followed her, flustered.

They sat on a bench.

"Now tell me," Nian said, looking at him.

DK gazed into her eyes. "Nian, you look so happy after I proposed to you."

She blushed. "Loudie, why are you making me blush by bringing up the proposal? Do you know, I was planning your birthday before, but you surprised me first. I didn't even expect you'd propose like that. I cried when you showed up in golden lights."

DK smiled. "Even I was worried you'd say no."

Nian looked at him. "Loudie, you shouldn't even have that thought. No one could say no to you. You know how much I love you—I can't imagine my life without you. You're a part of me now… like color mixed in water."

DK's eyes softened. "I'm lucky…"

She cupped his cheeks. "You don't have to say it, Loudie. You're truly the sunshine in my life. I just want you to smile like this always. That's my only wish."

She looked into his soft eyes as the warm sun rays fell gently around them. DK slowly took his hand, placed it on her neck, and looked into her eyes.

Then, he kissed her lips.

Nian smiled into the kiss, her eyes fluttering closed, and she kissed him back.

As they leaned back, Nian smiled. DK blushed and took a box from his pocket.

"What is this, Loudie?" she asked.

DK smiled, looking at the box. "Even though I gave this as a ring… I want to give you this."

He opened the box, took out the chain, and placed the box down. Nian looked at the necklace, stunned. She smiled.

"I bought this chain for you. We already have a bracelet, but now I want you to have this," DK said.

Tears welled up in her eyes. "Loudie, you're spoiling me."

DK laughed. "If spoiling you makes you happy, I'll keep doing it."

Nian gently rubbed the chain. "I think this is going to be our permanent name now. Just for us."

DK nodded. "Yeah. I'm your Loudie, and you're my Sunshine. We'll be like this… until we grow old."

Nian chuckled. "When did you learn to talk like this?"

"I've always been like this," DK grinned and took the chain from her hands.

Nian's heart raced as he moved her hair aside. She trembled slightly as DK leaned in and carefully fastened the chain around her neck.

He whispered in her ear, "Nian, I love you."

Her eyes widened, and she gave a warm smile.

As DK leaned back and admired how the chain looked on her, he looked proud. Nian gently touched it again, smiling brightly, and hugged him.

DK smiled, patting her back. "Nian, how's work?"

She replied, "Yeah, it's good. When you guys came for the interview, our office was thrilled. If you have more interviews like that, tell me, so I can prepare more, okay?"

She hugged him tightly as he nodded, resting his chin on her shoulder, smiling with contentment.
